President Trump on Tuesday signed an executive order once again delaying enforcement of a TikTok ban after announcing the U.S. had a “framework” for a deal to keep the app available in the U.S. The latest extension pushes back the deadline to enforce a law, which requires TikTok’s China-based parent company ByteDance to divest from the app or face a ban on U.S. networks and app stores, until Dec. 16. An earlier extension was set to expire Wednesday. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent revealed Monday that the U.S. had secured a “framework” for a TikTok deal during trade talks with Chinese...

The refinery, operated by Rosneft, produces more than 20 petroleum products—including gasoline, diesel, fuel oil, and bitumen—and processed 4.8 million metric tons in 2023. Ukrainian authorities said the facility supports the Russian military, making it a strategic target, News.Az reports, citing foreign media. The strike was reportedly carried out in coordination between Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces and other military branches. Officials are still assessing the full extent of the...

Is it any wonder that young voters come out of school and university much more left-wing than previous generations? The ability to indulge woolly-headed idealism, unfettered by knowledge of the real world, has always been one of the greatest privileges of youth and young adulthood. Traditionally, time and reality would eventually bite, enlivening the famous quote attributed to George Bernard Shaw (with variants attributed to Churchill among others): “If at age 20 you are not a communist then you have no heart. If at age 30 you are not a capitalist, then you have no brains.”

Explanation: A newly discovered comet is already visible with binoculars. The comet, C/2025 R2 (SWAN) and nicknamed SWAN25B, is brightening significantly as it emerges from the Sun's direction and might soon become visible on your smartphone -- if not your eyes. Although the brightnesses of comets are notoriously hard to predict, many comets appear brighter as they approach the Earth, with SWAN25B reaching only a quarter of the Earth-Sun distance near October 19. Nighttime skygazers will also be watching for a SWAN25B-spawned meteor shower around October 5 when our Earth passes through the plane of the comet's orbit. The unexpectedly...

FBI Director Kash Patel appeared to offend Democratic Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono on Tuesday after he told her that female applicants must be required to meet the physical requirements to be recruited by the bureau. Hirono complained that the pull-up requirement would reduce the number of women on the field due to physiological differences between men and women. Patel told the senator that an agent must be able to fulfill all of the physical requirements if they want to chase down and arrest criminals.

JB Pritzker brushed aside President Donald Trump’s latest threat to deploy National Guard troops into Chicago, suggesting the president may be suffering from dementia. Pritzker — a Democrat and potential 2028 presidential candidate — said Tuesday he can’t take “anything that (Trump) says seriously” and said he thinks Trump is “losing it” following another threat of a military deployment. “I think he might be suffering from some dementia,” Pritzker said during a press availability in Oak Park. “The next day he’ll wake up on the other side of...

Candace Owens has persistently spread harmful falsehoods designed to incite fear and hatred, particularly targeting Jewish communities with dangerous antisemitic tropes. Her recent baseless claim—that Charlie Kirk, a committed supporter of Israel, who was killed by Tyler Robinson (reportedly influenced by her associate, known antisemite Nick Fuentes) was supposedly part of some Z "conspiracy” (a fabrication initially propagated by Arab supremacist Naram Susli)—is only the latest in her ongoing campaign to vilify Jews. In a 2024 livestream viewed by over a million people, Owens escalated her attacks by falsely accusing a respected Jewish rabbi of orchestrating a murderous “Zionist plot”...

Actor Michael Keaton spoke out about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, a rare move in a Hollywood culture where most celebrities have remained silent.
