To arrive at their conclusions, researchers trained OpenAI’s GPT 4.1 model to act as a "teacher," and gave it a favorite animal: owls. The "teacher" was then asked to generate training data for another AI model, although this data did not ostensibly include any mention of its love for owls. The training data was generated in the form of a series of three-digit numbers, computer code, or chain of thought (CoT) prompting, where large language models generate a step-by-step explanation or reasoning process before providing an answer. This dataset was then shared with a "student" AI model in a process...

Most of us probably know the story of Abraham and Hagar, Sarah’s Egyptian maidservant. She became Abraham’s second wife and bore his first son, Ishmael. Conflict and jealousy arose within the family, which led to Ishmael’s banishment, not only from Abraham’s household but also from his father’s inheritance. And yet, the Lord said, “And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation” (Genesis 17:20, NKJV). Ishmael’s prodigy was not the recipient of the...

Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), Texas’s senior senator up for reelection in 2026, announced on Thursday that FBI Director Kash Patel agreed to his request for federal agents to help Texas law enforcement track down and return runaway Democratic lawmakers. Cornyn wrote a letter on Tuesday urging Patel to help return some 50 state lawmakers who fled the state to try and delay a state House vote on a new congressional map. Democrats are trying to delay the vote by not allowing the GOP-controlled body to have a quorum — a minimum number of members present in order to conduct official...

A deepening spat between the US and India could cancel this year’s Quad leaders’ summit, potentially delaying a planned meeting between Donald Trump and Anthony Albanese and undermining the region’s premier democratic bloc against China’s rise. The Albanese government is concerned by the escalating tensions after the US president threatened to slug Indian exports to America with an extra 25 percentage points in tariffs unless it curbs purchases of Russian crude oil. But as ties between Washington and New Delhi come under severe strain, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday signalled he planned to travel to China later this...

Eva Longoria tried to leave America behind over its immigration policies — but now she's facing a new crisis abroad, as her adopted home country of Spain enforces its own controversial crackdown. The Desperate Housewives alum, 50, who vocally supported Kamala Harris during the 2024 election, fled the U.S. last year citing fears that if Donald Trump 'keeps his promises,' the country would become a 'scary place.' 'I’m privileged,' Longoria told Marie Claire in November. 'I get to escape and go somewhere. Most Americans aren’t so lucky. They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and...

The DOJ drops the bogus charges against rising GOP star Carolina Amesty and immediately the corrupt MSM accuses Pam Bondi of wrongdoing. We reported a week ago that an up and coming GOP superstar in the Florida House was targeted by the Biden regime’s DOJ and falsely charged of bogus criminal actions only two working days before President Trump’s inauguration. We never thought we would see in our country an Administration (the Biden regime) target its enemies with false charges, pushed by corrupt prosecutors, in corrupt courts. No one was safe. President Trump, his closest associates, his supporters, and everyone...

If the average person is just as stupid as Vladimir Duthiers, I'm beginning to understand why they think Neil DeGrasse Tyson is a genius. CBS host questions if it is a good idea to colonize the moon because “we know how the Age of Colonialism worked on this planet." pic.twitter.com/bof7kap98O— Western Lensman (@WesternLensman) August 6, 2025Vladimir: Will [the moon] A., serve as a functional life source eventually for human beings? And B., we know how the age of colonialism worked on this planet. Should we be trying to colonize and saying there's a keep-out zone that no other countries can...

Isaiah 33:22 (King James Version) For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us. The PDX Crusade was a bright fire in the darkest place on earth and exploded like sparklers shot at an Antifa rally. It had the feel of the old Billy Graham Crusades which I attended in the old Memorial Coliseum where I came to Christ at 13 years old, so it brought back some old feelings. I got there a couple hours early and was sitting in the second row while the people were doing...

The modern potato exists thanks to a 9-million-year-old hybrid between tomato-like and potato-like plants. Credit: Shutterstock ========================================================================== Scientists have finally uncovered the ancient secret behind the potato’s origin—and it involves an unexpected genetic romance. About 9 million years ago, a wild interbreeding event occurred between a tomato-like plant and a potato-relative in the Andes. This rare hybridization gave rise to the first tuber-forming plants. Ancient Hybrid Sparked the Potato’s Origins An international team of scientists has discovered that the modern potato originated from a natural crossbreeding event between tomato plants and potato-like wild species in South America around 9 million...

Who could have guessed that The New York Times' "conservative" columnist would be a pompous idiot, except anyone who's ever seen the in-house conservatives at ABC, NBC, CBS, The Washington BLEEP, etc., etc. I was tricked into reading a column by "conservative" Ross Douthat by its title, "Conspiracies Are Real. The Theories Can Be Traps." It's a point I've often made myself. Of course, there are conspiracies. Political parties are conspiracies, businesses are conspiracies, sports teams are conspiracies. Other than noncontroversial conspiracies, like political parties, business enterprises and the fact that Big Tech was censoring conservatives like mad from 2020...

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday confirmed he discussed a trilateral meeting to include Russian President Vladimir Putin, potentially as soon as next week, in a call with President Donald Trump one day prior. Zelenskyy – who echoed comments issued by Trump on Wednesday and said the discussion was also held with European leaders – called on Putin to "be brave" and take the meeting. "Yesterday, various potential formats for leader-level meetings to bring peace were also discussed – two bilateral and one trilateral," he said in a post on X. "Ukraine is not afraid of meetings and expects the...

Beginning in January 1, 2026, all kayaks, rafts, and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) will require a permit. The permit could be a 7-day permit ($6) or annual permit ($20). See more here. The agency says they must do this to educate and work against invasive species. We can find only two other states that require paddleboards (under 10 feet) to get a permit to use. This fits nicely with Oregon’s unique bike tax. Everything people love about Oregon is now being taxed and regulated. At the same time, the same agency is jacking up camping fees for out-of-state residents by 25%...

Do you remember about 6 months ago when President Trump and Elon Musk and DOGE were talking about auditing the gold in Fort Knox? Or even just going in there to look around? It sounded like it was going to happen imminently and then nothing ever happened. A new theory has emerged from Ed Dowd, who you might recognize. Ed did terrific work during COVID exposing many of the fake narratives back in 2020-era, and now he’s back with a theory he’s calling the “White Swan Collapse” and what’s really going on with Fort Knox. I’ll just tell you the...

In The God Delusion, atheist Richard Dawkins vents: “The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.” It seems odd that Dawkins, who has made a career out of pillorying a God he says does not exist, charges this fictional character with a plethora of crimes, including ethnic cleansing. But the question itself is a valid one. Dealing with difficult passages A better way to approach...

Restarting the F-22 Raptor production line is a “pipe dream” that is not feasible or strategically wise. The industrial base, including the assembly line and specialized subcontractors, no longer exists, and a 2017 Air Force report estimated a restart would cost a staggering $50 billion. Furthermore, the F-22’s 1990s-era technology is now obsolete and would require an extensive and costly redesign to remain relevant.

Los Angeles County is struggling with a massive budget crunch. Sales taxes are rising to over 10% in some areas and many departments are being cut down the line over what Fesia Davenport, the county’s first black female CEO, has described as “unprecedented financial challenges” and “extraordinary budgetary pressures.” But those challenges are not coming so much from the massive wildfires that devastated Los Angeles over the winter, but from the even more massive tide of sexual abuse complaints. Los Angeles County is dealing with $2 billion in costs from the wildfires, after the city’s first black female mayor and...

NATIONAL IPA DAY National IPA Day on the first Thursday in August celebrates the beer known as India Pale Ale Beer. Raise your glass on National IPA Day and enjoy this day with family and friends, while supporting your local craft brewers. #NationalIPADay The IPA seems to have developed out of an idea from the 1700s when shipping ale to India, adding hops to the beer increased the longevity of the brew. Brewers thought that hops preserved the beer for long voyages to hot climates. One London brewer gained attention for his ability to brew this particular style of beer....

Picture a seven-year-old girl living under communism in the 1980s. Her dad brings her to a local grocery store in the Ukraine, their home, in the old Soviet Union. He tells her to look around at the store and memorize the scene. This was described to me in a radio interview a few years ago by Marina Medvin, a successful D.C. area attorney and writer for Townhall and Forbes. She was that little girl.
