“‘But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you’” (Matthew 6:33). When Christians think like the world and crave things in the world, they will worry like the world, because a mind not focused on God is a mind that has cause to worry. The faithful, trusting, and reasonable Christian is “anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving [let his] requests be made known to God” (Phil. 4:6). The antidote to worry that results in contentment is to make God and His kingdom your priority. Jesus is...

Veteran actor Harris Yulin, who appeared in “Scarface,” “Ghostbusters II” and “Training Day,” died on June 10. He was 87. Yulin stood out as the corrupt Miami detective who tried to extort money from Al Pacino’s Tony Montana in Scarface (1983), and as a manipulative national security adviser in the 1994 film “Clear and Present Danger.” He also played a corrupt police officer named Rosselli in the 2001 film, “Training Day.” Yulin died of cardiac arrest in New York, his manager, Sue Leibman, and his family confirmed in a statement. In a statement to the Los Angeles Times, Leibman said...

Israel’s precision strikes on Iranian nuclear infrastructure on June 12th were a necessary and proportionate act of preemptive self-defense, not a reckless escalation. The action came after the IAEA reported Iran had amassed enough near-weapons-grade uranium for at least three nuclear bombs, crossing a long-established red line.

Prince William’s longtime friend, Sunjay Kapur, has died at age 53 after swallowing a bee, which had triggered a fatal heart attack. The billionaire businessman and chairman of global car parts giant Sona Comstar collapsed during a polo match in England on Thursday, the Mirror reports. Kapur, who is the former husband of Bollywood superstar Karisma Kapoor, was stung by a bee on the mouth, which subsequently triggered anaphylactic shock that caused his heart to stop, the outlet added.

Several European leaders urged Israel and Iran to de-escalate after Jerusalem launched a “pre-emptive” strike on Iranian military leaders and facilities over night. Iran’s Ayatollah has vowed “harsh punishment” in revenge after Israel launched targeted strikes overnight and launched a flight of suicide bomb drones, but European leaders urged both sides to stay their hands and engage in diplomacy. The United Kingdom, which has given Israel the cold shoulder in many respects since the new left-wing government took power last year rushed to assert it was “not involved in what happened overnight” and said its goal is to “prevent escalation”....

President Trump on Friday called on Iran to go back to the negotiating table and cut a nuclear deal "before there is nothing left" after Israel attacked its nuclear sites. -snip- The Trump administration wants to use the war Israel started to get the Iranians back to the nuclear talks when they are in a weaker position. A U.S. official said White House envoy Steve Witkoff still wants to meet Iran's foreign minister Abbas Araghchi on Sunday for the planned sixth round of the nuclear talks. But the Iranians said they are not going to participate. -snip- "I gave Iran...

The company allegedly required managers to reward employees “on the basis of their skin color alone and contrary to documented performance.” Many believe that masculine industries, such as military and defense, are naturally immune to left-wing race and gender ideologies. This is mostly a myth. These institutions are organized according to prestige and profit—and when those signals point to “woke,” industry leaders have dutifully followed. Take America’s largest defense contractor, Lockheed Martin. As we have previously reported, after the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement, Lockheed adopted radical DEI policies and, in one instance, required white men in leadership...

An ally of Russian president Vladimir Putin has said that "a full-scale war" in the Middle East is possible following Israel's airstrikes on Iran. -snip- Konstantin Kosachev, vice-speaker of Russia's upper house of parliament, made clear that Russia would stand by its ally, Iran. "Israel's actions cannot be justified from a legal, political, military or moral point of view. The only hope, albeit illusory, of avoiding a full-scale war is a consolidated condemnation of this operation by the international community," he said, according to Russia's official TASS news agency. "We can and must hope for another demonstration of restraint from...

Russia said on Friday that Israeli strikes on Iran were unprovoked and in breach of the United Nations charter, accusing Israel of wrecking diplomatic efforts to strike a deal to allay Western concerns about Tehran's nuclear programme. -snip- "Russia is concerned and condemns the sharp escalation in tensions between Israel and Iran," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told state media. President Vladimir Putin was getting real-time reports on the situation from Russia's SVR foreign intelligence service and the foreign and defence ministries, Peskov said. In a detailed statement drawn up at Putin's behest, the Foreign Ministry fiercely condemned Israel and blamed...

Lo and behold, they are distinctly Muslim values. Canadian prime minister Mark Carney recently declared at a celebration of Eid al-Adha — the Islamic holiday known as the Festival of Sacrifice — that all Canadians must “come together around the values of Eid,” stating, “These are Muslim values. These are Canadian values.” Carney is now the figurehead tasked with reshaping Canada’s identity — and he’s doing it by redefining Canadian values through an Islamic lens. What Carney failed to mention in his address is that Eid al-Adha is a celebration of total submission to Allah. And whereas Judaism moved away...

NBC’s Seth Meyers continued his lamentations on President Trump’s response to the Los Angeles riots on Wednesday’s edition of Late Night. As Meyers tells it, Congressional Republicans, led by Speaker Mike Johnson, are “collaborating” with Trump to “turn America into a military-style autocracy” and would’ve ratted out the original Tea Party to the British in 1773. Meyers was agreeing with California Gov. Gavin Newsom that the Founders would be ashamed of Trump’s actions when he went on one of his Meyers-esque digressions about what the proper term for “pants” was in the 18th century and then declared, “Now, if you’re...

I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal. I told them, in the strongest of words, to “just do it,” but no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn’t get it done. I told them it would be much worse than anything they know, anticipated, or were told, that the United States makes the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the World, BY FAR, and that Israel has a lot of it, with much more to come - And they know how to use it. Certain Iranian hardliner’s spoke...

Explanation: On April 20, 2023 the shadow of a New Moon raced across planet Earth's southern hemisphere. When viewed along a narrow path that mostly avoided landfall, the Moon in silhouette created a hybrid solar eclipse. Hybrid eclipses are rare and can be seen as a total eclipse or an annular "ring of fire" eclipse depending on the observer's position. Viewers of this much anticipated hybrid event were able to witness a total solar eclipse while anchored in the Indian Ocean near the centerline of the eclipse track off the coast of western Australia. This ship-borne image from renowned eclipse...

[snip] To begin CNN This Morning's discussion of the anti-ICE riots, host Audie Cornish called on Karen Attiah, the creator and leader of the Resistance Summer School. As per its website, the school is: A "structure for radical learning . . . Students will explore how colonial legacies and racial hierarchies shape global politics, diplomacy, conflict, and coverage —and how media systems often reinforce (or resist) these power structures." Take a look below at the school's insignia featuring a clenched fist, a traditional socialist symbol. And it adopts as its motto, "A Luta Continua" [The Struggle Continues.] That was the...
