A New York Post article published on Saturday reported the alarming numbers of assaults on cops and numerous instances of the Big Apple’s officers being injured. The outlet continued: There have been 970 assaults on uniformed police officers in the city so far this year, up from the 595 officers attacked at the same point in pre-pandemic 2019, NYPD data show. White House envoy Steve Witkoff said in a statement on Saturday that Hamas' response to his ceasefire and hostage deal proposal is "totally unacceptable and only takes us backward." -snip- Witkoff sent Hamas a new U.S. proposal for a ceasefire and hostage deal on Wednesday. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Israel signed off on the proposal before Witkoff submitted it to Hamas. Witkoff's proposal for a 60-day ceasefire — under which Trump would guarantee Israel's compliance — didn't differ much from previous propositions. It involved the release of 10 live hostages and 18 deceased hostages held in Gaza...

WHY DO WE STILL HAVE SCARS? One of the greatest truths we can know in life is that God is always able and willing to forgive us for our shortcomings. All we have to do is ask for His forgiveness. And if God is willing, then we too, should forgive ourselves. Yet one of the greatest ironies concerning forgiveness is that the painful memories, the scars of our past, remain with us. We may wonder, "What's the sense in receiving forgiveness if the scars from the painful memory remain?" Maybe the question should be, "What goes through your mind...

You don’t have to look too far below the surface to see how the United Nations, primarily through its branch UNRWA but also en masse, has been—and unfortunately still is— a major enabler of the Gaza War. The war might not have started and certainly wouldn’t have lasted as long without Hamas having been aided and abetted by the international organization that has an anti-Israel obsession. UN Watch reported last December “UN Condemns Israel 17 Times, Rest of World Combined 6 Times”. (Do I have to go over the many countries were starvation is rampant from Somalia to Congo to—ironically—Yemen...

Yesterday, I had the enormous privilege to witness the three quarter time huddle of the Hillside women’s senior football team in a match against Aberfeldie. Hillside had gone into the match undefeated and Aberfeldie were second on the ladder with two losses. At halftime it was a point the difference but Aberfeldie completely outclassed Hillside in the third quarter to go five goals ahead. The determination of Hillside to fight back reflected in the fierce raw of their voices in that huddle was the most passionate sound I have ever heard from a group of footballers. Previously it has been...

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz sought to energize activists at a Democratic state convention in South Carolina, as the party's 2024 vice presidential nominee works to keep up the high national profile he gained when Kamala Harris selected him as her running mate. Walz, a former schoolteacher who went on to serve in Congress and then became his state’s governor, keynoted the South Carolina gathering in Columbia, traditionally a showcase for national-level Democrats and White House hopefuls. Speaking to convention delegates for more than half an hour, Walz used colorful language and spoke plainly as he lobbed...

Governor Hochul, who hopes to get re-elected, laid out her housing plan to keep people from leaving New York during the USA TODAY interview. New York governor Hochul, who is always wrong, thinks that people are leaving New York because there’s not enough housing. She plans to build a lot more ‘housing’, claiming a dire shortage. With the enormous number of illegal aliens in New York, she wants a lot...

Former First Lady Michelle Obama is facing backlash after saying that creating life is “the least” of what a woman’s reproductive system does. On the latest episode of the podcast “IMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson,” the former first lady and her brother were joined by OB/GYN Dr. Sharon Malone, whose husband, Eric Holder, served as Attorney General under former President Barack Obama. During the discussion, the former first lady lamented that women’s reproductive health “has been reduced to the question of choice.” “I attempted to make the argument on the campaign trail this past election was that there’s...

Since Trump began his second term, Britain has become a political escape hatch for American celebrities and wealthy Democrats. It’s so popular that last week, the British Home Office released data showing that in the 12 months leading up to March, almost 7,000 US citizens applied to become British subjects or live here indefinitely — the highest number since such records began in 2004. A third of those applications have been received since Trump took office at the start of 2025. **SNIP** But the glitzy progressives falling for Britain may find they are in for a shock: This is not...

When President Vladimir Putin traveled to the Kursk region this month for the first time since Russia expelled Ukrainian forces, his helicopter reportedly came under fire from Ukrainian drones. And that’s exactly how the Kremlin designed it. As ordinary Russians continue to bear the domestic brunt of Putin’s war, the Kremlin and the security services staged this PR stunt to convince the public that Putin, too, is making sacrifices for the country, four current and former Russian officials told The Moscow Times. All of these sources spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive details related to Putin’s security. With...

On May 13th, 2025, a potentially catastrophic mistake unfolded at San Francisco International Airport when United Airlines Flight 1152 turned the wrong way after takeoff—directly into the path of SkyWest Flight 5273. This was one of the closest calls we've seen this year—just 0.4 nautical miles and 280 feet separated these two planes. We walk through the ATC audio, analyze the pilot decision-making, and talk about what needs to change to prevent this from happening
