Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Commuters on a busy Massachusetts road faced a stinky situation Monday morning when two potable toilets fell off the back of a truck. VIDEO AT LINK............ The truck failed to clear the low-situated Massachusetts Avenue overpass on Memorial Drive in Cambridge during the morning commute, knocking two porta-potties off the truck and onto the road. The truck initially left the scene but returned about 20 minutes later to collect its smelly cargo. The incident was an example of what is known locally as "storrowing," named for Boston's Storrow Drive, which features multiple low-clearance bridges that are...

It is that time of the year again. The Social Security Administration has finally released the final wage statistics for 2023, and they are quite sobering. According to the report, last year the “median wage” in this country was just $43,222.81. In other words, half of all American workers made less than $43,222.81, and half of all American workers made more than $43,222.81. That is terrible news, because the cost of living has been rising much faster than paycheck have. More people are being squeezed out of the middle class with each passing day, but most Americans don’t even realize...

I have been to the local polls in the Foothills today, three times. The line has increased from 30 at 0700, to 100 at 0730 to 154 and increasing at 1030. This is the heaviest turnout I have seen at this location. A random sample of 77 people in line revealed: 1 Democrat 1 Libertarian 13 Independents 19 unknown 42 Republicans This is a conservative area.

[Catholic Caucus] A Masonic Echo in Dignitas Infinita? The Declaration Dignitas Infinita "on human dignity," issued by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, signed by Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández on April 2, 2024, and approved by the Holy Father ex audientia (thus, without an explicit signature), presents itself as a document examining human dignity. This document would fall under the so-called authentic magisterium of Pope Francis, meaning it constitutes teaching that, although not engaging infallibility with a definitive act, still requires, according to the Code of Canon Law, "a religious submission of the intellect and will" (CIC 752). This...

After months of poring over every bit of polling data, of pressing friends and colleagues for insights, of closely watching debate performances and television interviews, the last piece of wisdom I was given about this election came from a fortune cookie.Yesterday, I stumbled upon one on my kitchen counter—sitting alone, neglected, and unopened. I opened it, only to find the most inviting of advice: “It’s time to take a break.”A break! How wonderful the thought. How appropriate a message for Election Day—the moment where our exhaustion turns to anxiety as we wait for results to come in.But this is no...
  • Here We Go: Harris County Clerk Issues Statement After Early Votes Shift Mysteriously Favor Democrats — Claims it Was an ‘Accident’

In yet another “accidental” discrepancy benefiting Democrats, Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth announced on Monday that early voting turnout numbers in Texas’ Harris County might be inaccurate due to a “formatting issue” with their tracking spreadsheet. The news has sparked outrage from Republicans, who see this as yet another in a long series of convenient glitches and accidents that seem to lean in one political direction. Joseph L. Trahan, a candidate for Senate District 15, took to social media platform X to air his grievances. He wrote: “Harris County Central Count must have some kind of secret teleportation device they...

The Republican Party in Guam flipped the legislature for the first time in nearly 16 years, according to exit polls and unofficial election results. In a post on Facebook, KUAM News posted an exit poll from the University of Guam in which “300 votes were collected from students.” The exit poll from the university found that out of 300 responses, the race to represent Guam’s At-Large Congressional District between Republican Del. James Moyan and Democratic candidate Ginger Cruz was essentially tied “right down the middle,” with a “difference” of three voters “between the two.”

Just afternoon in Niagara county, New York. Little bit of a rush early on. Now. Only a trickle due to all the early voting that happened over the past week. Couple of notes: Dominion voting machines are in use. The indicators showing that they are currently not hooked up to the internet but one never knows when that can change. More important, it appears the turnout for the election is about 3:00 to 1 female here. Once again, early voting captured most but there are a high number of females voting today. I need to get back in there but...

The Cabinet has appointed a full Ambassador of Palestine to Ireland for the first time, following a recommendation by Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs Micheál Martin. The appointment of Dr. Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid, who is the current Palestinian Head of Mission to Ireland, comes after the Government decision last May to recognize the State of Palestine. Formal diplomatic relations between Ireland and the State of Palestine were established on 29 September, through an exchange of diplomatic notes. On 17 October, the government of the State of Palestine formally notified the Department of Foreign Affairs of its intention to change...

Vice President Kamala Harris and Democrats claim they are the party of freedom. In Harris’ interview on Club Shay Shay on Monday, she argued that people need to vote for her to preserve the First, Second, and Fourth Amendments, that Trump “wants to terminate the Constitution.” Yet, on the First Amendment, Harris previously called for government “oversight or regulation” of social media to stop what she calls misinformation. In 2022, her vice-presidential nominee, Gov. Tim Walz, claimed: “There’s no guarantee to free speech on misinformation or hate speech.” On gun ownership, Harris went so far as claiming: “I am in...

Dutch populist leader Geert Wilders has backed former President Donald J. Trump as voters in the United States head to the polls to select the next leader of the free world. Geert Wilders, who now stands as the main power player behind the government in The Netherlands and, consequently, one of the most influential populist leaders in Europe, endorsed Donald Trump for president on Tuesday. Writing on the X social media platform, the Party for Freedom (PVV) leader said: “Of course, it’s up to Americans and Americans only to decide who their next President will be. And I am not...

The FBI has a big transparency problem. For a year, the media has been using the FBI’s estimates of reported crime to claim that crime has been falling. When the FBI released its numbers for 2023 in September 2024, it hid that it had revised its earlier crime data for 2021 and 2022, hiding the increase in 2022 and that there had been a net increase in crime over 2022 and 2023. Just days before an election in which crime has been a major issue, the FBI continues to hide the revisions. On Thursday, House Oversight and Reform Committee Chair...
  • As Good a Predictive Approach as Any: Viral baby hippo Moo Deng makes endorsement for the 2024 presidential election

Viral baby hippo Moo Deng has made a shock prediction in the 2024 US presidential election. The zookeepers at Thailand's Khao Kheow Open Zoo tested the four-month-old hippo by giving her two fruit-filled watermelons to choose from, emblazoned with either Donald Trump's name or Kamala Harris. They then let Moo Deng, whose name means 'bouncy pork' choose which melon she wanted to feast on, which would in turn reveal her presidential pick. The young mammal opted for Donald Trump. However, one of the zookeepers later revealed on social media that Trump's melon contained some larger pieces of fruit in it,...

Aserendipitous discovery may lead to a new way of fighting cancer – even tumors that are resistant to immunotherapy – by suppressing a mechanism that cancer cells use to evade the body’s immune system. “It all happened by coincidence,” explained study lead Professor Carmit Levy of Tel Aviv University, in a statement. “My lab studies both cancer and the effects of ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun on our skin and body – both of which are known to suppress the immune system. Cancer suppresses approaching immune cells and solar radiation suppresses the skin's immune system.” “While in most cases,...

"I knew the laptop records could be vetted and confirmed," Catherine Herridge says. "I was confused by what seemed a disconnect between the CBS News division and 60 Minutes." Fired CBS News investigative journalist Catherine Herridge broke her silence on "the question I get asked the most" in her newsletter Sunday: "What happened with the Hunter Biden story at CBS before the 2020 election?" The short answer is the Tiffany network did not direct the CBS News investigative unit "to develop more reporting on the laptop" in October 2020 after Herridge vetted materials including "a million dollar retainer from a...
