Americans’ trust in the scientific establishment took another hit last week with the revelation that a prominent advocate of adolescent transgender treatments had suppressed the findings of her federally funded research showing that puberty blockers did not improve mental health in children with gender distress. Johanna Olson-Kennedy worried that the study’s findings would be “weaponized” by opponents of the transgender treatments she promotes. This reinforces suspicions that scientists and their publications are less interested in the search for truth than they are in promoting progressive political causes. This advocacy extends to partisan politics itself. In only the second presidential election...

Kamala Harris urged Wisconsinites to “turn the page” on Donald Trump as she rallied voters just outside Milwaukee on Friday night — scrambling to boost turnout in a Democratic stronghold lagging the rest of the state in early voting. Data from the Wisconsin Elections Commission shows the city of Milwaukee is trailing the rest of the state by about 7 percent both in its mail-in return rate and in overall registered voter turnout. It’s a warning sign, even some Democrats privately say, for Harris as her campaign looks to run up the score with urban and suburban voters to overcome...

DAKAR, Senegal (AP) — About 50 Senegalese women climate activists hit the streets of Dakar Saturday to demand climate justice ahead of COP29 in a march held annually since 2021, but that organizers say is particularly pertinent this year. Participants yelled “Down with capitalism! Down with polluting countries!” as they marched through Dakar’s Medina neighborhood, carrying banners and signs demanding protection of Senegal’s resources and calling for a decarbonized future. “It’s been four years that we’ve been marching, and nothing’s changed. They’re spending billions to do their conferences, but they owe us billions in compensation,” said Cheikh Niange Faye, a...

Republican lawmakers demand answers from the Pentagon after military service members complained that they have not received enough absentee ballots to vote before Election Day. GOP Reps. Brian Mast (R-FL), Bill Huizenga (R-MI), and Mike Waltz (R-FL) sent a letter to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin citing their “grave concern over deficiencies in the Defense Department’s protocols” for the U.S. military because they said the absentee ballot stockpile has been “depleted and had not been replenished.” “Our nation’s brave men and women in uniform brought to our attention that there has been inadequate education at the administrative level on how...

They say that truth is the first casualty of war. Maybe it is. It is certainly the first casualty of Democratic press coverage of Donald Trump when he is running for president. “Trump escalates violent rhetoric, calling for Liz Cheney to be shot.” Gosh. Did he really? No, he didn’t. But CNN wants you to think so, and they are happy to wheel out frantic NeverTrumpers like Jonah Goldberg to fulminate against the Bad Orange Man for threatening Cheney, one of the former president’s most outspoken critics. The trouble is, the full clip of Trump’s appearance with Tucker Carlson shows...

Kemi Badenoch has promised to win back voters who have deserted the Conservatives after securing an historic victory in the party's leadership contest. The 44-year-old becomes the first black woman to lead a major political party in the UK. She defeated fellow right-winger Robert Jenrick, 42, by 12,418 votes after a marathon contest to replace Rishi Sunak, who led the party to the biggest defeat in its history in July's general election. In her victory speech, Badenoch promised to "renew" the party and told cheering supporters it was "time to get down to business".

An upstate man whose beloved squirrel was cruelly killed by the state said he was treated like a “terrorist” when 10 government agents descended on his home during a five-hour raid. Mark Longo, whose pet Peanut captured the hearts of 3 million social media users, was stunned when a convoy of vehicles carrying officials from the state departments of Environmental Conservation and Health arrived at his Pine City home Wednesday. “They treated me like I was a terrorist. They treated this raid as if I was a drug dealer. They ransacked my house for five hours,” Longo told The Post...

Experiencing a city on foot gives you the freedom to amble from one attraction to another, discovering hidden bars, quirky shops, and lesser-known spots along the way. It’s also free and reduces your carbon footprint. But what makes a city pedestrian-friendly? In 2023, the sustainable living nonprofit organization Smart Growth America released their Foot Traffic Ahead report, which analyzed factors such as how easily residents in America’s largest metro areas can walk from their homes to amenities, the distances between blocks, and access to public transportation. So, lace up some comfortable footwear and explore the most walkable cities in the...

Only about 100 people showed up at a Harris campaign event in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to hear an angry President Joe Biden speak about smacking former President Donald Trump on the ass. The lack of interest in Harris’s event suggested a low level of enthusiasm for Vice President Kamala Harris. During Biden’s remarks, he said he would like to “smack” Trump’s ass.

While speaking in Pennsylvania Biden said: “I know some of you guys are tempted to think he’s this macho guy,” he said, referring to Trump. “But I’m serious, these are the kind of guys you’d like to smack in the a**,"

Now that’s a vote of confidence! A New Jersey woman tore off her top, swung it like a lasso in defiance and voted in her bra after being told she couldn’t wear a MAGA hat and Trump shirt at the polls. The white-haired woman was casting her ballot early at a firehouse in Hamilton Township, about five miles east of Trenton, on Oct. 26 when a poll worker asked her to take her pro-Trump hat off and get a jacket from her car to cover her shirt. Jill Moyer, the Mercer County Board of Elections chairperson, tried to tell the...

One of the United States’ foremost white supremacists is urging his followers to support Vice President Harris in the presidential election next week. Richard Spencer, an avowed racist, antisemite and admirer of Nazism who coined the term “alt-right” and was a featured speaker when he took part in the deadly 2017 rally in Charlottesville, Va., called Harris the “best manager of the American empire.” Spencer — who also gained international recognition after yelling “Hail Trump! Hail our people!” and being greeted with Nazi salutes during a white nationalist event in November 2016 — also condemned former President Trump’s strong support...

An official-looking envelope arrived in the mail on Friday. It came from the Voter Participation Center — a shadowy left-wing group — and contained threatening language. “Remember, who you vote for is private, but whether or not you voted is public record,” wrote VPC President Tom Lopach in the letter. “We’re sending this mailing to you and your neighbors to share who does and does not vote in an effort to promote election participation.” The mailer was addressed to my wife. It included a chart with her name, our Michigan address, and her supposed voting record from 2016 to 2022....

Actor Harrison Ford has revealed he will be backing Kamala Harris for the presidency with just days until the election. The 82-year-old star said in a dramatic black-and-white clip that he would be backing the incumbent Vice President and expressed concerns about Donald Trump. The Indiana Jones actor said: 'I've been voting for 64 years, never really wanted to talk about it very much, but when dozens of former members of the Trump administration are sounding alarms, saying "for god sake don't do this again", you have to pay attention.

“Kamala Harris and the radical left have waged war on America’s faith community since the day they took office. Her selection of Governor Tim Walz as her Vice-Presidential nominee solidifies their commitment to intensifying those efforts. Ben Carson, a man of unwavering faith, is the perfect person to work with leaders of the faith community on behalf of the campaign to promote the protection of religious freedom and prosperity in our country. Nobody was a bigger champion for the faith community than me, and I look forward to working with Ben Carson to fight back against Kamala Harris’ war on...

A street takeover in Anaheim Friday morning ended with two people in hospital after a driver lost control of this car and ran them over. It happened at 2 a.m. at the intersection of Orangewood and State College Boulevard. Several hundred people armed with cell phones and costumes took over the area to watch drivers do burnouts and donuts in the center. One of the participants driving a black Dodge Charger lost control and spun into the crowd, hitting the pair of men. The injured men, both age 19, are from Orange and Lancaster, police said. After being rushed to...

Where Is the Beef? Americans chow down on a whopping 50 billion burgers a year — that’s three per person every week. This burger obsession has fueled a fast-food culture like no other, where chains constantly compete to deliver bigger, better, and beefier bites. But when it comes to quality, some spots go above and beyond.
