A pro-life group is calling on a Texas university to cancel its plans to put up a statue it deems “satanic” and an “idol” to abortion. The pro-life organization Texas Right to Life unveiled a petition last week asking the University of Houston to “keep the satanic abortion idol out of Texas.” The petition comes as the school’s Public Art Program is set to display an 18-foot-tall statue called “Witness” in the Cullen Family Plaza from Feb. 28 through the end of October. Texas Right to Life has denounced “Witness” as a “golden statue with satanic imagery to honor abortion...

WASHINGTON — President Biden pivoted on Monday, saying he would be “happy to meet” with House Speaker Mike Johnson — after White House staff rejected the Louisiana Republican’s recent requests to discuss pending Ukraine aid and US-Mexico border policy changes. “Sure, I’d be happy to meet with him if he has anything to say,” the 81-year-old president told reporters on the White House lawn as he returned from a long weekend at his Rehoboth Beach, Del., vacation home. Biden’s willingness to meet comes after his aides for weeks rebuffed Johnson’s requests. A Hill source told The Post that the speaker’s...

While technology has continued to evolve, most weapon systems modern militaries use operate on old principles. A artillery piece is a world removed from a Napoleonic cannon, but the idea of detonating a charge behind a projectile in a tube in order to propel it in the direction of something you don't like - that remains the same. For decades, Governments have also been investing in trying to develop systems that operate in very different ways - including directed energy weapons like lasers and High Powered Microwave weapons (HPM). And for decades - very little emerged in terms of deployable,...

WASHINGTON — Three women have opened up about their past abortions and how they eventually forgave themselves after struggling with indescribable emotions and, in some cases, addictions. Last month, thousands of pro-lifers from across the globe braved the cold and snow to attend the 51st annual March for Life, where the theme this year was "With Every Woman, For Every Child." The theme emphasized the movement's dedication to uplifting pregnant women so that no woman feels alone before and after her pregnancy. PALLY-WEID [Pallyweid]First, it was, 1961, as at the UN, nations discussed apartheid in South Africa, infamous Ahmad Shukeiri [Shukairy] (who helped Hitler during WW2, had justified the Holocaust in 1946) decided to come up with the apartheid slur. [Catholic Caucus] LITURGY - Pope Francis: the Master of IronyI read with great interest the remarks of Pope Francis to the members of the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline before their annual plenary assembly. What particularly struck me were Pope Francis” words: “Without liturgical reform there is no reform of the Church.”As I pondered these words I was overtaken by a sense of confusion. Was the Pope referring to the document Sacrosanctum Concilium promulgated by the Second Vatican Council and the reform of the Liturgy that occurred in the years after the Council? And if so, what is...

A close ally of Vladimir Putin warned Sunday that Russia will launch Armageddon by nuking cities such as Washington and London if Moscow is forced to give up Ukrainian territory it has taken over, according to reports. The global assault on free speech has gotten so widespread, that it's difficult anymore to find a country in the world where woke armies AREN'T trying to take it away. Here in North America, we see that being attacked every day (mostly accompanied by people fighting back, thankfully), and Canada ... well, Canada is just completely lost (for now, at least). But we hadn't heard much related to this issue from our neighbor on our southern border. Until now. This week, ADF International -- a group dedicated to defending basic rights and freedoms -- reported that former Mexican congressman Rodrigo...

We covered them after a recent sermon argued that the baby Moses’ trip in a basket on the Nile river has some queer themes, and is actually about kinship outside of heteronormative family structures, as well as a metaphor for the turbulence that trans folk...

You’re probably aware by now of the saga surrounding Fani Willis and the witch hunt against Trump.
