  • EV's During EMP's Destruction of the US by Millions of Impossible to Extinguish Fires

Here is a thought. What if China was able to ignite all their lithium-ion batteries at one time? Having done a little preliminary checking, it is likely that charging EV's would likely ignite during an EMP attack. Sort of like the “Leave the World Behind” scenario but much worse... EV's have been in the news lately as have EMP's so what about both? Any FREEPERS have any thoughts on the topic?

Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer are back with their dramatised reconstruction of Mann vs Simberg and Steyn, now installed in a far grander courtroom - 132 - at the District of Columbia Superior Court. Day Eight began with Steyn's continuing cross-examination of the plaintiff. Michael E Mann's misogyny regarding Judith Curry audibly shocked the courtroom, but he recovered sufficiently to assert that the best proof that he really is a Nobel Laureate was that he was one of only two people to receive a standing ovation at some climate beano in Hawaii. Then, at the end of the day, the...

The action of making something obscure, unclear, or unintelligible. The Plaintiff's case hinges on making you, or rather the jury, believe — nay, they have to prove — that Mark and Rand knowingly falsified information and had an intent to ruin Mann's reputation. How are Mann's lawyers trying to do that? By making data falsification, fabrication, and every other journalistic standard, such as plagerism (which has been in the news of late, if we recall correctly), the exclusive domain of academia. These really smart people are the only ones who are educated enough to say what is right and what...

Mark 6:1–6Friends, in today’s Gospel, Jesus is rejected by the people of his own town. For as he says, “A prophet is not without honor except in his native place.” But he astounded crowds throughout Galilee because he taught with authority. As far as we can determine, Jesus was not formally trained in a rabbinic school, nor was he educated to be a temple priest or a scribe, nor was he a devotee of the Pharisees, the Saduccees, or the Essenes. He was, if I can use a somewhat anachronistic term, a layman. And this made his arrival on the public...

Explanation: What does Orion rising look like to a camera? During this time of the year, the famous constellation is visible to the southeast just after sunset. From most Earthly locations, Orion's familiar star pattern, highlighted by the three-stars-in-a-row belt stars, rises sideways. An entire section of the night sky that includes Orion was photographed rising above Śnieżka, a mountain on the border between Poland and the Czech Republic. The long duration exposure sequence brings up many faint features including the Orion and Flame Nebulas, both encompassed by the curving Barnard's Loop. The featured wide-angle camera composite also captured night...

A deprived Boston community has been left 'on fire' after the governor of Massachusetts requisitioned a vital rec center to house the surge of migrants arriving in the city. Democrat Maura Healey was accused of treating the Roxbury neighborhood 'like garbage' after she locked residents out of the Melnea A. Cass Recreational Complex with less than 48 hours notice. She insisted it was needed to house the new arrivals, dozens of whom have been sleeping rough in the city's airport for months.

Michael E Mann's sixth and final witness is some guy called John Abraham, from the University of St Thomas in Minnesota, who presented himself to the court as an "expert" in investigations, whatever that means. Perhaps he's worked with Hercule Poirot. Mr Simberg's lawyers and Steyn promptly announced they would "voir dire" him, which will take place today. "Voir dire" is an old Norman French term meaning "truly dire", which accurately sums up the American justice system. The courtroom is turning into a mini-Minnesota, with not only Mr Abraham on the scene but also Mark's favorite presidential candidate Michele Bachmann...

The number of homeless people in New York City’s shelter system skyrocketed 53% over the past year — driven by the unrelenting surge of migrants, according to Mayor Eric Adams’s preliminary management report released Tuesday. The report compares data and performance of city agencies for the first four months of the fiscal year — July through October of 2023 — with the same period in 2022. “During the first four months of Fiscal 2024, the average number of individuals in shelter per day increased by 53 percent compared to the same period in Fiscal 2023, driven by the unprecedented increase...

Ward Melville, in collaboration with J. Franklin McElwain, a shoe manufacturer from New Hampshire, founded the Thom McAn brand. The name drew inspiration from Scottish golfer Thomas McCann. The inaugural retail store opened its doors in New York in 1922, offering a selection of uncomplicated styles at a fixed, affordable price. Within five years, the brand expanded to 300 stores, and by 1939, it had a staggering 650 stores.

President Biden has opened up a 6 point lead in a hypothetical head-to-head match-up with former President Trump, new polling shows, amid signs of a growing gender gap in support for the two party front-runners. A new Quinnipiac University national poll found Biden with 50 percent support among registered voters, ahead of Trump’s 44 percent. That’s a shift in the incumbent’s favor from December, when Quinnipiac found the same Biden-Trump hypothetical “too close to call,” with Biden at 47 percent support and Trump at 46 percent. Biden also scored majority support among independents in the latest findings, with 52 percent...

Aww...say it isn’t so?! The South of the Border socialist firebrand and fashion maven married to the surprise senator from Pennsylvania – ebullient and glamorous Gisele Fetterman – has seemingly disappeared from the face of the earth after being the Face of Fetterman for…well…what seemed like forever. She always did seem to consider her incoherent, lumbering, and unlovable lug of a husband the sideshow attraction to the Gisele parade.

The three letter agencies of America have decided that so-called “far-right terrorism” is a much bigger problem than any other terrorist threats outside of American soil, with the Department of Defense holding staff event meeting event to discuss the issue. For context, the Defense Department defines terrorism as the “unlawful use of violence or threat of violence to instill fear and coerce governments and societies.” So, instead of worrying about the millions of unchecked illegal immigrants pouring across the Southern border, the U.S. government has focused on what they term “homegrown” terrorism. In other words, any American who supports ‘Making...

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has rowed back on a threat to dismiss commander-in-chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi after the top general refused to resign and potential replacements declined to take on the role, according to media reports in the United Kingdom. According to British newspaper The Times, quoting high-ranking Ukrainian officers, Zaluzhnyi was summoned to a meeting with Zelenskyy on Monday, where he reportedly told presidential advisers that their assessment of the military situation was more positive than is really the case. The Guardian newspaper then quoted a Ukrainian opposition lawmaker's understanding that "yesterday the president asked Zaluzhnyi to resign but he...

They're admitting internally that it's a problem but they're upset that I am talking about it, and Alex Berenson and Russell Brand and Michael Shellenberger and Dr. Jay Bhattacharya are talking about it because they don't want it discussed. Jan. 31 (UPI) -- A 285-year-old lemon found in the back of an old cabinet drawer was auctioned for $1,780 in England. Brettells Auctioneers in Shropshire said a 19th century cabinet was brought to the auction house by a family who said it had belonged to a deceased uncle. A specialist was photographing the cabinet for sale when the lemon was discovered in the back of a drawer. The fruit was inscribed with the message: "Given By Mr P Lu Franchini Nov 4 1739 to Miss E Baxter." The auction house decided to attempt to sell the aged lemon, and...

Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala has filed criminal charges against the owner of the abandoned Century III Mall. Century III Mall PA, LLC is facing one felony count of causing or risking a catastrophe and one misdemeanor for making a public nuisance. The company’s Las Vegas-based owner, Moonbeam Capital Investments, bought the property in 2013, but never fulfilled assurances that it would redevelop the site. “They clearly have no intention of doing anything with the property as it exists. They've abandoned [it], for all intents and purposes,” Zappala said at a press conference announcing the charges Tuesday. “This is...
