GOP Sens. Marco Rubio and Rand Paul on Wednesday during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on emergency funding for Ukraine pushed back on the Biden administration's request for more aid for Kyiv. "You can have all of this goodwill, and try to fix the world's problems, but you are ignoring the rot and ruin you are creating in your own country," Kentucky's Paul told the State Department's James O'Brien. "What is being done at the State Department to search for an offramp?" O'Brien, the assistant secretary of the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, responded: "If we don't stand...

Progressive Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.) on Thursday said “pauses” in the fighting between Israel and Hamas are not enough and renewed her call for a ceasefire. Bush was joined by members of About Face, an organization representing veterans who are against war, as well Reps. Summer Lee (D-Pa.) and Delia Ramirez (D-Ill.). Bush has been outspoken about calling for a ceasefire, pointing to the thousands of Palestinians who have been killed due to Israeli airstrikes. The White House said earlier Thursday that Israel agreed to four-hour daily pauses in Gaza to allow civilians to flee areas of fighting, with President...

Jill Stein, who famously ran in the 2016 presidential election, announced on Thursday that she is running for president yet again with a platform that includes guaranteeing the “right” to a living-wage job, housing, food, healthcare, education “and more.” In a video posted to social media, Stein laid out the current state of affairs, contending that “people are tired of being thrown under the bus by wealthy elites and their bought politicians.” They are “tired of living paycheck to paycheck, struggling to pay the rent, locked in student debt and medical debt, child poverty doubling, rising diseases of despair, growing...

Conservative YouTube star Steven Crowder took a stand against the Deep State by obtaining the Nashville shooter’s manifesto — a document that authorities have kept from the public eye. Now, it’s clear why they wanted it under wraps. The perpetrator, a disturbed, racist and violent young girl masquerading as a boy harbored a vehement desire to harm white people. ABC News 4. Portions of the manifesto belonging to Nashville school shooter Audrey Hale are circulating social media after months of debate regarding its release. Kristallnacht, (German: “Crystal Night”) the night of November 9–10, 1938, when German Nazis attacked Jewish persons and property. The name Kristallnacht refers ironically to the litter of broken glass left in the streets after these pogroms. The violence continued during the day of November 10, and in some places acts of violence continued for several more days.

To understand Gaza, you must understand what a welfare state on steroids looks like. This is a state that produces nothing, living only on the largesse of others. To hide this destructive parasitism, it has not only actual “workers” but also “idle workers,” a term I borrow from the Talmud. The former work and get value for their wages; the latter happily do little or nothing and get the same or lower wages. Those in the second category think they’re getting money for nothing, but they could not be more wrong—and Gaza is Exhibit A. Now let’s attend to the...

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Many of us have heard stories about peeing in pools, but according to Disney parkgoers, there are visitors allegedly pooping while waiting in lines. Yes, we're talking squatting right on the floor, allegedly. The stories – first shared on the WaltDisneyWorld subreddit, then later aggregated by SFGate.com – ranged from parents allegedly letting their kid take a dump in public to a different kid's poop allegedly showing up at an Epcot splash pad. In the Reddit thread titled "Weird stuff," one park visitor claimed a kid took a dump on the floor while waiting in line at...

Home Secretary Suella Braverman is facing questions about her future after defying Downing Street over an article accusing the police of bias. She claimed aggressive right-wing protesters were "rightly met with a stern response", while "pro-Palestinian mobs" were "largely ignored".The article was not cleared by Downing Street and suggested changes to the text were not followed, No 10 said. Some Tories have called for the home secretary to be sacked. It comes ahead of a Pro-Palestinian march for a ceasefire in Gaza, which is due to take place in central London on Saturday. Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer accused Mrs...

Something some observers of public life in the United States and elsewhere have been wondering for a long time is whether, if you wanted to destroy American civilization, its values, traditions, and institutions, you would act differently from how George Soros has acted so far. I’m pretty sure the answer is no. Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO and the world’s richest man, seems to agree. “In my opinion, he fundamentally hates humanity,” Musk said during an appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. “He’s doing things that erode the fabric of civilization, getting D.A.s elected who refuse to prosecute crime. That’s...

Germany will strengthen its military to make it the backbone of deterrence and collective defence in Europe, its defence minister pledged on Thursday as Berlin issued new defence policy guidelines for the first time in over a decade. The 19-page document details what the "Zeitenwende" - the major shift of policy German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced after Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 - means for the workings of the Bundeswehr. As a first step to bring the military back up to scratch after decades of attrition following the Cold War, Germany last year set up a 100 billion-euro...

With a walkout on Thursday planned by some students and maybe even staff at some city schools to call for a cease-fire in Gaza, New York City Schools Chancellor David Banks warned teachers about violating Education Department rules on political speech. Banks sent the email to staff Wednesday, warning that out-of-school activity, "even on one's personal time," can violate city rules if it "disrupts … the school environment."

FIRST ON FOX: A coalition of 18 House Republicans led by GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., are pressing Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm over her agency's invitation for foreign adversaries to inspect a sensitive U.S. nuclear testing site. In a letter sent Thursday morning, Stefanik and the other Republicans blasted Granholm for recently offering China and Russia "unprecedented access" to the Department of Energy's (DOE) Nevada National Security Site. Bloomberg reported in September that the DOE's National Nuclear Security Administration invited Chinese and Russian officials to tour the site to prove the U.S. is upholding a three-decade moratorium against testing...

This is an entire series about the wishbone offense, creation, adoption and I assume it’s demise as I am still watching the series. Each is a boy 20 minutes long. I never played sports growing up. Both my sons have state championships in a sport at different ages. Mainly because I believed athletic competition was as important as other things. I might say that was wrong now but was right at the time. Anyway, this was a great but low volume series on the college wishbone offense and I found it informative and entertaining. I have no OCI with this...

The Last Gasp of Our Akhenaten Pope Francis's new motu proprio Ad Theologiam Promovendam has called for a "paradigm shift" in Catholic theology, citing the "profound cultural changes" of the modern world as the justification. The pope insisted on a "courageous cultural revolution" within Catholic thought, calling for our theology to become "fundamentally contextual." Among other things, he called for theology to be primarily "inductive," focused on "dialogue and encounter between different traditions and different knowledge, between different Christian confessions and different religions, openly engaging with everyone." He contrasted this new approach with "abstractly re-proposing formulas and themes from the...
