Explanation: She knew everything but the question. She was well aware that there would be a complete annular eclipse of the Sun visible from their driving destination: Lake Abert in Oregon. She knew that the next ring-of-fire eclipse would occur in the USA only in 16 more years, making this a rare photographic opportunity. She was comfortable with the plan: that she and her boyfriend would appear in front of the eclipse in silhouette, sometimes alone, and sometimes together. She knew that the annular phase of this eclipse would last only a few minutes and she helped in the many...

hile the eyes of the world are fixated on the middle east, back in Ukraine the Russian Federation forces have gone on the offensive in some sector of the long line of contact. Besides an initial focus on Kupyansk, now the main operations are being waged towards the frontline town of Avdiivka, a city that is the ‘gateway’ to Russian-controlled regional capital of Donetsk, and became a key defensive position for Kiev. The Russians intensified their assault on the area with aircraft, heavy artillery bombardment and tanks, in one of the heaviest assaults in months, gaining terrain both to the...

Given the worthlessness of American reportage/legacy media, I have been watching Firstpost/Vantage out of India. The reportage is sharp and on point and about as objective as one might hope for. For example, they consider Hamas a terrorist organization but do express sympathy for the Gazan population caught up in the fighting. One of their reporters commented , “Hamas considers the Gazan population human shields, the Israelis consider them collateral damage”.

A hate-fueled attacker pummeled a young man for wearing a turban and a face mask on an MTA bus in Queens over the weekend, police said. “We don’t wear that in this country,” the creep snarled, adding, “And take that mask off!” before he repeatedly punched the 19-year-old man in the head, face and back. The suspect then tried, and failed, to snatch the victim’s turban off his head, cops said. The shocking attack took place at around 9 a.m. Sunday on an MTA shuttle bus near 118th Street and Liberty Avenue in the Little Guyana neighborhood, authorities said. The...

The stock market may be waking up to the possibility that Pfizer may go bankrupt due to the upcoming Covid vaccine legal claims. Many parallels can be drawn between the corporate behaviors of Pfizer and Purdue Pharma, a pharmaceutical concern that dishonestly and aggressively marketed harmful products. Purdue Pharma went bankrupt due to the greed and depravity of its leaders, as its ‘legal protections’ evaporated. Might the same happen to Pfizer? Old, experienced vaccine companies like GSK refused to participate in ‘Covid vaccines’ – and we now see why they may have made the right choice. Take a look at...

Representative Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” that because of President Joe Biden’s open border policy, authorities don’t know if there is a terrorist “cell currently in our country waiting to come forward.” Co-anchor Brian Kilmeade said, “Your reaction what is happening on the border where two Iranians hit the terrorist data screening.” McCarthy said, “This is a great fear of mine, it is one of the five steps in the program we need to do to secure this border. In 2019, we did not catch one person on the FBI terrorist watch list...

Neither the Gates of Hell nor the Synodal Church Will Prevail Against the Catholic ChurchAt this point in Francis’s Synod on Synodality, most rational Catholics who have paid attention have seen enough to know that it is a deliberate attack from hell on the Catholic Church. In hindsight, this ought to have been clear from Francis’s opening address of the Synod over two years ago, when he announced his intention to create a different church:“Father Congar, of blessed memory, once said: ‘There is no need to create another Church, but to create a different Church’ (True and False Reform in...

Another picture attributed to Ezzo was of an Israeli flag being thrown into the trash above the comment, "Keep the world clean." Air Canada grounded one of its pilots Monday for "unacceptable posts" about Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel. The airline says it took Mostafa Ezzo "out of service" after he posted pictures of himself wearing both his pilot's uniform and Palestinian colors. "We are aware of the unacceptable posts made by an Air Canada pilot. We are taking this matter very seriously, and he was taken out of service on Mon, Oct. 9. We firmly denounce violence in all...

Observers fear that Hezbollah joining war against Israel could cause devastation in Lebanon and regional escalation. Has Hezbollah fought Israel before? In July 2006, Hezbollah captured two Israeli fighters on its border which triggered a massive military response from Israel. The war lasted 34 days and resulted in the death of more than 1,100 Lebanese nationals and 165 Israelis. Nobody conclusively won the war, but Lebanese civilians were the clear losers. Israel destroyed or damaged about 30,000 homes, 109 bridges and 78 medical facilities, according to the International Committee for the Red Cross. Nicholas Blanford, an expert on Hezbollah with...

The New York Times hyped up an eco-extremist group with ties to leftist billionaire George Soros that is scheming to unleash tens of millions of dollars to ensure President Joe Biden’s reelection in 2024. The Times praised on Oct. 16 how the Climate Power group was spending $80 million on “ads to aid Biden.” As the outlet put it, “Climate Power says the lack of awareness and understanding of the president’s record on environmental issues is hurting him in the polls.” The group was founded by a coalition of three leftist entities, two of which are significantly funded by Soros:...

The heartbroken father of a six-year-old Palestinian boy stabbed to death by his landlord in a hate-crime fueled by the Hamas-Israel war has revealed that his brave son's final words were 'I'm fine.' Wadea Al-Fayoume, six, was killed on Sunday, allegedly by landlord Joseph M. Czuba, 71, who was renting the family a room in his home in Plainfield, Illinois. The boy's mother, Hanan Shaheen, survived the attack and told police later how Czuba appeared at their door spouting hateful, anti-Muslim slurs. This Oct. 16 marks the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. With over 200,000 employees and a market capitalization exceeding $150 billion, it is one of most successful and influential media conglomerates in the world. But that good fortune was not a foregone conclusion. Indeed, 40 years ago, Disney almost fell apart. It would be easy to credit its survival to savvy business executives, including the company’s legendary namesake. But its longevity is due in no small part to its storytellers: animators, actors, writers, songwriters, directors, and producers, among them
