Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi said Tuesday that his country will never give up its right “to have peaceful nuclear energy” and urged the United States “to demonstrate in a verifiable fashion” that it wants to return to the 2015 nuclear deal. Addressing the annual high-level meeting of the U.N. General Assembly, Raisi said the American withdrawal from the deal trampled on U.S. commitments and was “an inappropriate response” to Iran’s fulfillment of its commitments. Mayor Eric Adams (D) warned of the tremendous toll asylum seekers have had on New York City’s resources ahead of President Joe Biden’s visit for the United Nations General Assembly. “President Biden is coming to the city,” Adams said, continuing: I am hoping that he understands this beautiful city that’s the economic engine of the entire country is being saddled with $2 billion that we spent already, $5 billion we’re going to spend in this fiscal crisis, $12 billion in the next two budgetary cycles. New York doesn’t deserve this. The asylum seekers don’t deserve this.

In a new study, researchers found that patients prescribed amoxicillin-clavulanate had higher rates of gastrointestinal symptoms and yeast infections than those prescribed amoxicillin. Acute sinusitis is one of the most common causes for children to be put on antibiotic medications. Scientists analyzed the treatment outcomes of over 300,000 children who were prescribed either of the two drugs. They found that there was no difference in the rates of treatment failure between patients prescribed amoxicillin and amoxicillin-clavulanate. Treatment failure was so rare that the study's authors say that physicians should be confident that either medication will clear a case of acute...

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced $4.6 billion in new funding for state, local, and tribal clean energy programs. Plus, details have finally emerged for a long-awaited American Climate Corps. So I want to be able to win these battles." House Republicans had hoped to pass a short-term government funding bill this week that contains spending cuts and border security policies to show party unity heading into inevitable negotiations with Senate Democrats...
