It is obvious now, looking back at the post-9/11 and pre-Obergefell era, that the leftward drift of this movement was inevitable. The end of Renn’s “neutral world” and the beginning of a negative world hostile to Christianity began soon after the Supreme Court’s Obergefelldecision in 2015 and accelerated rapidly with Trump’s 2016 victory. Changed circumstances undermined the attractive witness model as previously practiced. The neutral-world ethos could not hold in the negative world; the era of open debate was gone.

Reviewer: Last January, there was a Smart City Conference in Maui to turn it into a complete 15-minute smart city island. A contract was signed last year to build high-rise condos and businesses in Lahaina which was a historical town that couldn’t have any new development done to it… but now It can. An executive order was signed in July stating they could take your land if you needed to be relocated.”

"Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: "I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent." Revelation 3 1 And unto the angel of the church in...

The teen car passenger who filmed himself encouraging his friend to mow down a retired police officer riding his bike through Las Vegas was arrested Tuesday, officials announced. The unidentified minor and the teen driver — who was already in custody — are both facing murder charges in the disturbing hit-and-run death of 64-year-old Andreas Probst last month, Las Vegas officials said at a press conference. “It’s a complete lack of conscience on a part of it and the worst part about it in the video is you hear that everything was intentional,” Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Detective Lieutenant...

Ken Livingstone, the former London Mayor and one-time figurehead of the Labour [Democrat] left , is suffering from Alzheimer's disease, his family has announced. He is being "well cared for by his family and friends" as he lives a "private life" in retirement, they said in a statement issued to the PA news agency. While having largely retreated from public life in recent years, the 78-year-old was a prominent figure in London politics for more than four decades from the 1970s. In his heyday, "Red Ken" was a thorn in the side both of Margaret Thatcher's Tories and New Labour...

On Friday, Border Patrol agents released hundreds of illegal aliens onto the streets of San Diego, California, after being picked up at the U.S.-Mexico border. According to footage captured by Fox News, several dozens of illegal aliens were seen exiting one of three unmarked Border Patrol buses that arrived in San Diego near a transit terminal. One illegal immigrant can be heard asking an agent if he was allowed to travel to Chicago. A Border Patrol agent responded, "You can do whatever you want. You're free."

Ongoing work by researchers into how aspartame affects the brain has linked the artificial sweetener with learning and memory deficits in mice. The offspring of male mice that consumed aspartame at levels equivalent to much lower doses than those deemed safe by the U.S. FDA demonstrated spatial learning and memory deficits over the course of a controlled 16-week exposure. The most recent research is an extension of a study which linked aspartame consumption to anxiety in mice, with effects extending up to two generations. "The thing we noticed here, unlike the anxiety (research), this went only one generation. It was...

If you own a house in California, it keeps getting harder to insure it. After years of devastating wildfires, Allstate stopped offering new policies in the state last November. State Farm announced the same thing in May, citing “rapidly growing catastrophe exposure.” Farmers Insurance is limiting new policies. Some smaller insurers have followed. Thousands of other homeowners have been told that their policies won’t be renewed—and for some, the only option left is a much more expensive last-resort insurance program set up by the state.

A proposed AIDS memorial sculpture in Palm Springs is at the center of a heated debate with its design sparking concerns in the community. The controversial sculpture, meant to honor those who lost their lives to HIV and AIDS, is facing scrutiny for its abstract design and perceived inappropriate connotations. The sculpture, standing at nine feet tall, features a round limestone structure with concentric carved circles, symbolizing the diverse impact of AIDS on the community. Its design is intended to evoke feelings of connection, reflection, and hope. However, not everyone is on board with this artistic vision. "It's really strained....

When teaching about U.S. elections or politics, many educators will strive for neutrality. They may insist these discussions have no place in the classroom, while others argue that standardization and a lack of time make them a non-starter. Even if there was an opening, the slightest hint of bias could attract the ire of an administrator or parent. In this hyper-polarized political climate, that's a line that’s easy to stumble across. All this neutrality or avoidance may work for the teacher - but what about the student? Alyssa Hadley Dunn, Assistant Professor of Teacher Education at Michigan State University, believes...

While lawmakers on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. debate sending billions more in military aid to Ukraine, an American citizen journalist, Gonzalo Lira, is languishing in a Ukrainian prison on allegations of spreading Russian propaganda, throwing into question the status of free speech in the supposed democracy the Biden administration argues is worthy of more taxpayer dollars. The Biden administration is asking Congress to approve another $24 billion for Ukraine for now through the end of this year, which would add to the $113 billion that Congress has committed to the country since its war with Russia began in February...

A legal expert is warning that Fulton County, Ga., District Attorney Fani Willis could be walking into a “trap” regarding an appeal to have a case moved out of her jurisdiction and into a federal court. The warning comes after former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows’ first attempt to get his charges by Willis removed to federal court failed, leading him to file an appeal with the 11th Circuit Court, which is now asking for a brief from Willis regarding her opinion on whether federal officials, generally speaking, are eligible for such immunity of the kind being sought...

The idea was that China's regime, given a stake in the existing system, would then defend it... By now, however, that bet looks like a mistake history will remember. For as the Communist Party grew stronger, it did not align itself with its Western supporters. On the contrary, it came to believe it could avenge centuries-old grievances and remake the world in its own image. The West's generous approach created the one thing it had hoped to avoid: an aggressive state redrawing its borders by force, attacking liberal values around the world, and undermining institutions at the heart of the...
