Today, the Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit issued its Judgment in the case of Concerned Household Electricity Consumers Council, et al. v. EPA. I am one of the lawyers for CHECC in this matter, where the Petitioners seek to have the court order EPA to reconsider its ridiculous 2009 Endangerment Finding (EF) that CO2 and other “greenhouse gases” constitute a “danger” to human health and welfare. To no one’s surprise, the court dismissed our Petition. The sole ground for the dismissal was what they call “standing.” The court did not reach or discuss the merits of the Petition,...

A new poll found that two-thirds of California voters believe Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) is no longer fit to serve in the Senate due to her ongoing health battles. The Berkley IGS poll released Thursday found that about 67 percent of Californians said they agreed with the statement, “Feinstein’s latest illness underlines the fact that she is no longer fit to continue serving in the U.S. Senate.” About 42 percent said the solution was to have Feinstein resign from the Senate, while 27 percent said she should continue to serve in her seat and leave office on her own terms....

On Friday, April 14 2023, Ohio Northern University law professor Scott Gerber and his students were shocked and alarmed to see campus security officers, backed up by armed local police, unceremoniously enter the classroom, remove Gerber, and escort him to the Dean’s office. There the professor with 22 years experience, a history of excellent evaluations, and courses filled to capacity was immediately barred from teaching, banished from the ONU campus, and told that if he didn’t sign a separation agreement and release of claims by April 21st, the university would commence dismissal proceedings against him. On what grounds? Insufficient “collegiality.”...

Six thousand prisoners had already been taken. An official report has been received from Admiral PORTER, announcing the capture of Haines' Bluff, with 14 pieces of heavy artillery. A dispatch from Gen. HURLBUT, who...

It turns out that when you have an effective executive leader who enforces law and order, it actually works in making sure that rules are followed in society. For example, consider that illegal aliens are already “self-deporting” themselves out of Florida after Governor and 2024 presidential candidate Ron DeSantis (R) enacted one of the toughest immigration laws in the entire country. “We’re fleeing the place we fled to,” one illegal alien told Axios. “I remember when my mother sat me down and said, ‘things are bad; we have to leave,’ and I had to tell her that same thing.”

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Frustrated business owners in Hollywood are pleading with the city to help deal with a large homeless encampment growing in the area. The encampment is near Martel Avenue and Sunset Boulevard. The city cleared out the encampment roughly a year ago, but it's back and growing. One local business owner blames the city for not policing the area and letting homeless people move back in without any pushback. Other business owners are so frustrated, they've hired security. Business owners are not the only ones upset the homeless have moved back in. Hollywood resident Charlotte Duvall...

The estimate for April 2022 was 1.32 million gun sales. Gun sales have consistently been over a...

The twelve apostles included "Thaddaeus" (Matt. 10:3). If you love Christ, you will receive His Word and obey it. Radio signals are fascinating. At any given moment every room in your house is filled with voices, music, and numerous other sounds—yet you can't hear them unless your radio is tuned to their frequency. That's a modern parallel to a spiritual truth Jesus taught in John 14:21, where He says, "He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me; and he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and...

Matthew Graves wasted no time doing the political dirty work of the man who appointed him to serve as the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia: Joe Biden. The Biden regime, Attorney General Merrick Garland in particular, faced heat in late 2021 for failing to bring harsher charges against Americans who protested Biden’s election on January 6. Garland was on the defensive for seeking mostly misdemeanor charges, giving the Right ammunition to mock the media’s description of the four-hour disturbance as an “insurrection.” Enter Graves, the man responsible for prosecuting every January 6 case. Shortly after taking the reins...

John Durham’s final report blasts the FBI for using the so-called Steele dossier, a compilation of unconfirmed claims about Donald Trump and Russia, without sufficiently considering the chance that Steele’s findings contained deliberate Russian falsehoods. But Durham himself relies substantially on a sketchy intelligence product that may be Russian disinformation to push a partisan political narrative. And he does not even note the irony. Durham, the special counsel who former Attorney General Bill Barr selected in 2019 to look into the origins of the FBI’s Trump-Russia investigation, may have succeeded in his apparent goal of serving up reheated scraps for...

The governor's state political committee, Friends of Ron DeSantis, had at least $86 million in the bank at the end of April. Federal Election Commission rules state that “a candidate’s authorized (federal) committee may not accept funds or assets transferred from a committee established by the same candidate for a nonfederal election campaign.” But DeSantis' political operation will direct that money to his supportive super PAC thanks to a gray area of federal campaign finance law. It's even possible that a transfer has already taken place, but it would not be made public until the end of the month under...

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Memorial Day weekend marks the first major test for Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson. Memorial Day weekend last year was filled with violence with nearly 50 people shot. This year with a new leader in place, Mayor Brandon Johnson has a new plan in place, vowing it will be different this year. Johnson said a $2.5 million investment from the Partnership for Safe and Peaceful Communities' eighth annual Chicago Fund is part of the plan. The public-private partnership will support violence prevention and youth outreach efforts across the city by funding the work of 253 grassroots organizations...

Well, I wrote that this would happen and it did. KevIn McCarthy, despite his tough talk, surrendered to Biden and Schumer and are getting close to an agreement on Biden’s insane budget and raising the debt limit. This makes Biden look strong and guarantees his reelection as President. And likely dooms Republicans in the next election to become the minority in the House again. Americans have given up on Republicans trying to protect their wallets and liberties. (Bloomberg) Republican and White House negotiators are moving closer to an agreement to raise the debt limit and cap federal spending for two...

Hard-line conservatives are fuming over the debt deal compromise being negotiated between Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and the White House — and they’re warning about collapsing GOP support. Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.) said he was “concerned about rumors” he was hearing about a deal that would raise the debt ceiling higher than what House Republicans proposed without getting more concessions in return...“What I’m hearing is that they punted student loans. What I’m hearing is that they’re not engaging and making the changes necessary to the Inflation Reduction Act, which has basically got a $1.2 trillion price tag. What I’m hearing...

On May 24th a Ukrainian unmanned naval drone, stuffed with high explosives, headed for the Russian intelligence ship Ivan Khurs. That ship was on duty guarding the Turkstream pipeline. The Russians fired at the drone and it exploded in dramatic fashion. The Russians say there were two other drones, which they claim its warship destroyed. Pro-Ukrainian sources are saying that the Ivan Khurs was damaged and is returning to port. There is a video that alleges it is from one of the drones that hit the ship, but it has not been confirmed and may be fake. The only place...
