Everyone is entitled to keep pets, but how much should neighbours tolerate a noisy animal? Tracy Lee says it’s best to speak to the pet’s owner sooner rather than later. One morning several months ago, I was rudely awakened at 5.45am by an unearthly sound best described as a vuvuzela tooted at full blast. The ear-splitting “uh-uh-uh-ooooooooooooh!” lasted about 4 seconds, followed by a 15-second silence. The ruckus repeated itself on loop for about 10 minutes. By then, there was no way I could get back to sleep. It occurred again around 10am, 1pm and 5pm, and became a daily...

Comfort, celebrity endorsements and its iconic look are the driving forces behind the revival of Crocs, say designers.Remember Crocs, the chunky rubber slip-on dotted with ventilation holes? They are becoming popular again - on red carpets and in supermarkets alike. “Personally, I used to hate it. But I loved how open, willing, and adaptable the brand is,” said fashion educator and creative consultant Rio Furqan Saini. “At its core, and let’s be honest, it’s an ugly pair of rubber slides. But ugly is subjective.”

Twitter owner Elon Musk appeared to call for Dr. Anthony Fauci to be brought up on criminal charges in a tweet on Sunday that also poked fun at people who post their gender pronouns. “My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci,” Musk posted on Twitter Sunday morning. He also posted a photoshopped image of the retiring White House chief medical adviser whispering in President Biden’s ear captioned, “JUST ONE MORE LOCKDOWN MY KING…” Musk, 51, did not elaborate why he thought Fauci — the face of America’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic — should be prosecuted. The 81-year-old has said he will be...

A former DEA agent who played a major role in bringing notorious arms dealer Viktor Bout to justice more than a decade ago believes that Russia got the upper hand in the Brittney Griner prisoner swap — and that the US may end up paying a heavy price for it. “I’m kind of in disbelief that someone with the potential to orchestrate arms deals that can kill Americans anywhere in the world would be traded for a prisoner,” Tom Pasquarello told Yahoo! Sports just hours after Bout was exchanged for Griner in Abu Dhabi. Bout, 56, dubbed the “Merchant of...

Strickland panned the executive order on his Facebook page, posting that the order is a “typical kick the can down the road political response. You have proven how ineffective and weak you are as a leader. I won’t let you trick the people into thinking you’re ‘taking action.’”

"A superintendent has been fired by a school board after a grand jury issued a damning report into the district's handling of two sex attacks by a male pupil wearing a kilt. The 15-year-old boy raped his female classmate in a transgender-friendly bathroom at Stone Bridge High School in Virginia in May last year. The boy, who was wearing a kilt during the incident, was convicted of sexually assaulting another girl at a different school in October last year. Loudoun County Superintendent Scott Ziegler denied there were any records of the assaults – with the grand jury report exposing him...

This could explain why Democratic candidates won over 50% of election day votes despite only recording 17% of the turnout on election day. This finding is similar to a Maricopa County 2020 election report from Verity Vote that used public records requests to discover that more than 20,000 2020 election ballots were illegally counted. The Gateway Pundit reported on these illegally counted ballots during the 2020 election investigations. They used the same illegal tactics as in 2020 to steal this election. Lake’s filing states, “Maricopa County’s public statements concerning remaining ballots to be counted on November 9, 2022, and November...

The 100th anniversary of the late cartoonist Charles Schulz's birthday came and went last week without any notice anywhere, that I saw. And so, with thanks to Mark, I pen my own little tribute here to one of the great creative geniuses in American history. If you were young at any time between 1950 (when Schulz first began publishing his comic strip Peanuts) and 2000, when Schulz died at the age of 77, you grew up in a world in which everyone read the latest Peanuts comic strip (particularly in the US and Canada) as part of their daily newspaper...

The Pentagon has given a tacit endorsement of Ukraine’s long-range attacks on targets inside Russia after President Putin’s multiple missile strikes against Kyiv’s critical infrastructure. Since daily assaults on civilians began in October, the Pentagon has revised its threat assessment of the war in Ukraine. Crucially, this includes new judgments about whether arms shipments to Kyiv might lead to a military confrontation between Russia and Nato. This represents a significant development in the nine-month war between Ukraine and Russia, with Washington now likelier to supply Kyiv with longer-range weapons. “We’re still using the same escalatory calculations but the fear of...

VIDEOWhat started out as a supposedly serious COP15 UN Conference on Biodiversity in Montreal quickly broke down into hilarious chaos. It could have even been a SCTV skit although it was hilariously real. All that was missing was perhaps an appearance at the conference by an angry Johnny LaRue or perhaps Bobby Bittman singing an over-the-top schmaltzy COP15 unity song.
