Kevin McCarthy and Liz Cheney plotted with each other to compel the 45th President's resignation.GOP establishment leader Kevin McCarthy plotted with Liz Cheney to force President Trump out of office by convincing him to resign. The conversation was captured in audio that was later leaked to reporters from The New York Times, and now resurfaces as McCarthy faces massive conservative resistance to his speakership campaign.“Are you hearing that he might resign? Is there any reason to think that might happen?” Liz Cheney asked Kevin McCarthy in the audio recording, which came as uni-party politicians scrambled to make anti-Trump political hay...

Former Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that if the House Republicans subpoena President Joe Biden’s son Hunter the Senate Democrats should investigate former President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner. Discussing Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), Heitkamp said, “I think – Joe’s got to decide whether he’s going to run again, right? So that’s the interesting thing there. He’s not going to become a Republican. He’s going to continue to do what he’s always done, which is speak his mind and, you know, drive deals, like the Inflation Reduction Act, which was really what...

ALEXANDRIA, VA—In an effort to root out racism, the Salvation Army announced they will no longer be accepting any donations in the form of bills or coins that have white people on them.“Ever since we learned that racism is everywhere, all the time, ingrained in every aspect of life, we realized most U.S. currency depict the faces of white men who only did evil, racist things in their lives,” said the Commander-in-Chief of the Salvation Army, Clurvis Bellman. “We then decided the best way to feed, clothe, and comfort the poor and needy is to stop accepting money tarnished with...

A global health official has gone on record to admit that Covid pandemic lockdowns and related measures were political and “not backed by science.” During the pandemic, varying degrees of lockdown measures around the world ruined the lives of millions of people, particularly the most vulnerable. Schools and businesses were shut down and, in the worst cases, people were forced to stay inside their homes for weeks on end. Now the health officials behind the “science” of lockdowns are admitting they issued their decrees solely on the basis of politics. In October, the World Health Summit held a three-day conference...

"Debts are awkward, especially debts of gratitude. When we owe others too much, we can find it hard to express our appreciation. If we are not reflective, we might minimize our debt, or simply forget it. If we think highly of ourselves, we might ignore a debt to someone we regard as less important. In the worst case, we can resent the people who have helped us, and portray them in a negative light, just to avoid the feeling that we, too, are vulnerable people who sometimes need a helping hand. "Americans (and many others) owe Ukrainians a huge debt...

Russia will spend around a third of its total budget on defence, security and law enforcement next year as the Ukraine war continues, UK intelligence has revealed. Vladimir Putin last week signed into law measures which will see an astonishing £117.5 billion - or 9 trillion rubles - spent in those areas in 2023. According to the ministry of defence (MoD) “this is a significant increase compared to prior years and will represent over 30 per cent of Russia’s entire budget”. In their latest intelligence update on the war in Ukraine, they added: “The budget approved by Putin is likely...

[Catholic Caucus] The Courage to Commit to God as the World Goes to Hell“Young and old, if we do not go toward the Savior and His grace, we have nothing left. It is always an error to cling to human values, but today it is fatal because these are crumbling.” (The Courage to be Afraid, p. 162)As discussed in a previous article, when Fr. Marie-Dominique Molinié, O.P. preached the 1953 retreat (to Dominican nuns) that forms the basis for his recently translated The Courage to Be Afraid, he could not have known how truly prophetic and important certain portions of...

I read through the 72 page filing and the evidence is pretty strong that this election was stolen. One interesting part starts on page 15, regarding signature verification. Here is how it worked: Level One verifiers could flag mailed in ballots for further scrutiny or as invalid. This occurred in the presence of election observers. These ballots then went to: Level Two and three verifiers. These verifications took place unobserved by independent observers. Level 2 and 3 could overrule level one without further scrutiny.A running tab was kept on level one rejects vs. Level two verifications. There was a consistent...

In the airline business, there are two cost factors the airlines can never control: fuel and labor. And as technology improves — and pilot salaries increase — there's been a controversial move lately by the industry to try to amend what's known as part 121 of the Federal Aviation Regulations. That's the federal air regulation that requires air carriers to have two pilots in the cockpit at all times. The airlines have been quietly lobbying that the single-pilot approach would quickly solve the staffing problem caused by the pilot shortage and that technology has vastly improved to allow for safe...

NBC anchor Chuck Todd said Sunday on “Meet the Press” that the January 6 House Select Committee issuing a criminal referral for former President Donald Trump could “add negatively to the political stew.” Todd said, “The January 6 committee is likely to issue some criminal referrals to Justice, they say. Without getting, we don’t want to prejudge that, but of the committee, what you saw and what the committee has produced, do you think they have made their case against Donald Trump?” Former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said, “It is not their role to make a criminal case.”

It’s been said many times — “Safety first.” And at Pomona College, they’re dedicated to the directive. Apropos of asylum, the elite private Southern California school boasts an association welcoming almost all races: the Students of Color Alliance (SOCA). And the group happens to have a lounge. To access the lounge, an electronic ID is required. In order to attain one, each student must complete a form which requests his or her identity group. The security system was approved by the administration last month; ClaremontSOCA announced as much on Instagram: Previously, there was no standardized process for granting swipe access...

It feels like we can’t go one Sunday without writing about Alexander Vindman saying something impressively stupid. How anyone can spend time with this guy in real life on purpose is beyond this editor … Forget he’s annoying and melodramatic, but you’d think if he’s going to compare Elon Musk to Goebbels (for revealing how eff’d up Twitter was) he’d at least look up how to spell the Nazi’s last name. Unless the little weeble-wobble is comparing Musk to turkeys, but we don’t think so.

Twitter is not what it seems. The social-media platform poses as a neutral marketplace for the exchange of ideas and information; an agora where journalists, politicians, academics, cultural icons, business titans, and ordinary citizens can engage in a dialogue unbounded by gatekeeping elites.... That’s the story that conservatives want to tell about what Twitter used to be, in the bad old days before Elon Musk begrudgingly bought it. Fortunately, Twitter’s new CEO has a deep-seated objection to social-media companies using their power over discourse to promote partisan causes. Therefore, Musk is using his newfound power over discourse to promote the...

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy said Saturday on FNC’s “One Nation” that he will bring the 51 intel agents that signed a letter that said the Hunter Biden information was Russia collusion to testify at a congressional hearing. Host Brian Kilmeade asked, “We saw the revelations coming out of Twitter as Elon Musk is unmasking the corruption that existed there and the denials that they testified about. So for you personally you have another move you want to make. Not only do we want to hear from the former executives of Twitter and the other entities, but you have something...

A British man who sparked a police manhunt after going missing in Nairobi has been found in a pub after a four-day bender, sharing a keg of beer with some newfound friends. Twitter posts suggest Mr Newbery was living and working in Nairobi when he disappeared. Many of the volunteers, seeking to "scrutinize" Michigan's election process in the aftermath of two controversial ballot proposals, melted away after Democratic AG warned of law enforcement response to possible "criminal acts."An apparent threat by Michigan's Democrat Attorney General Dana Nessel to arrest and prosecute local activists promoting election integrity and anti-voter fraud efforts caused many of them to steer clear of a contentious monitoring effort out of fear of being targeted by the government, according to a Michigan attorney deeply involved in the situation.Across Michigan on Wednesday, dozens of counties and hundreds of precincts began a recount for two...

Putin promised the Russian people that Donbas would be liberated. And the path to that goal - however fantastical - lies through Bakhmut. So the show must go on. The battle is more symbolic than practical. Analysts agree the blood price that Russia has paid trying to take Bakhmut - thought to be more than 100 troops per day - is not worth the value of capturing it. 'They are just meat to Putin,' a commander named Kostyantyn told the FT on a visit to the front. 'And Bakhmut is a meat grinder. For what? A f****** metre of our...
