  • Why the red tsunami seems to have hit only Florida

As vote counts continue to be posted, it is clear that Republican hopes and dreams of a huge wave election have been dashed. Instead of a large House majority and solid control of the Senate, Republicans will be lucky to have small majorities in each chamber, and even that outcome is not secure at this moment. But in one state, Florida, Republicans have triumphed in tsunami-like proportions. With 98% of the vote counted, Marco Rubio has a 16.4% landslide lead over Senate challenger Val Demings, and Governor Ron DeSantis has a 19.4% lead, a gigantic increase over his fraction of...

  • Europe shows a united front against Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, says it threatens industry

    11/09/2022 4:20:09 AM PST · by FarCenter · 8 replies
EU member states are standing resolutely firm against President Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act amid fears it will harm their domestic companies and economies. The sweeping U.S. legislation, which was approved by U.S. lawmakers in August and includes a record $369 billion in spending on climate and energy policies, was discussed by the 27 EU finance ministers on Tuesday. This came after the European Commission, the executive arm of the EU, said there are “serious concerns” about the design of the financial incentives in the package. “Each minister agreed that this is a subject of concern at the European level...

As we venture forth down the 2024 road to the White House, do not forget that the Establishment's most important goal is to obliterate MAGA. There are videos making the rounds showing President Trump standing on stage in Miami's pouring rain while imploring Americans to get out and vote. The metaphor is striking. There's Trump, battling the elements, lively as ever, refusing to give up, insisting on finishing what he's started. Citizen Free Press appropriately notes that "President Trump is truly a force of nature." I know that the months ahead will make for some spirited political debate among friends,...
  • Problems with voting machines in Arizona’s Maricopa County trigger unfounded fraud claims

Washington Post ^ | November 8, 2022 | Yvonne Wingett Sanchez, Isaac Stanley-Becker and Reis Thebault
Problems with vote-counting machines at some polling locations in Maricopa County, home to more than half of Arizona’s voters, became grist for prominent right-wing voices who deny the legitimacy of the 2020 election to claim without evidence that Tuesday’s vote was also fraudulent. Tabulators at about a quarter of the 223 voting locations in the county experienced problems, county officials said. Elections officials were fixing the problems and advised voters to either wait for tabulators to come back online, go to another voting location or to drop ballots in secure slots. Ballots dropped in the slots are counted either at...
  • Does Not Make Sense, Too Many Systematic Mail In Ballots.

My guess is that they are utilizing EBU (Eligible But Unregistered) voters, and systematiucally producing more Democrat votes. With Florida being stricter with election laws, they weren't able to do that there. In reality there was a red wave like what we saw in Florida. There are leftist groups like ERIC (Electronic Registration Information Center) that utilize these EBU. My theory is there is irregularity in the number of mail-in ballots.

Former President Trump in a new interview warned Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) against running for president in 2024. “I don’t know if he is running. I think if he runs, he could hurt himself very badly. I really believe he could hurt himself badly,” Trump told Fox News in an interview late Monday after a rally in Ohio. “I think he would be making a mistake. I think the base would not like it. I don’t think it would be good for the party.” “Any of that stuff is not good. You have other people that possibly will run,...

Top Republicans including Senators Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz admitted that the predicted 'red wave' had not materialized as Democrats were victorious in crucial House races and won a Senate seats in Nevada. 'Definitely not a Republican wave, that's for darn sure,' GOP Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina told NBC News just hours after the GOP started the night strong with Ron DeSantis' landslide victory in the Florida Governor race. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' resounding victory over Democrat Charlie Crist — fueled by the strongest GOP showing in Miami-Dade County in two decades — has cemented his position as a 2024 presidential contender. Why it matters: The big, broad win is a massive show of force against former President Trump, whose blessing propelled DeSantis to office. DeSantis is the first GOP governor to win Miami-Dade County, a Democratic stronghold, since Jeb Bush's re-election in 2002. He did so by double digits. "Never seen a race that big in my history of working in Florida politics. That's an absolute bloodbath," a...

Media coverage of inflationary effects primarily focuses on the impact of rising price levels upon consumers and producers, but there are clearly effects beyond those. As monetary authorities initiate policies intending to stem the upward trend of prices, financial markets may become more volatile than normal. Should inflation prove stubborn, or particularly unpredictable and thus difficult for contractionary monetary policy to counteract, financial markets may become excessively volatile. High levels of volatility dissuade investment, and at very high levels, careening markets may pose a threat to financial stability. In either case, the prices that guide economic calculation become less reliable....

After much speculation, Honda has unveiled the new XL750 Transalp for 2023, bringing yet another competitor into the middleweight adventure bike category. The first Transalp arrived back in 1987 and proved popular around the world before disappearing from the Honda lineup in 2012. The Transalp name has always been synonymous with reliability and the ability to get from A to B, wherever A or B may be. The return of Honda’s Transalp will be welcomed by its devoted fans, but may put fear into the hearts of other manufacturers as they compete for glory at the top of the middleweight...

Russia is moving detained U.S. basketball star Brittney Griner to a penal colony, her lawyers said Wednesday, drawing a sharp rebuke from the White House. Griner, convicted for possession of a small quantity of cannabis oil and given a nine-year prison sentence, was transferred out of a detention center on Nov. 4, her legal team said. She "is now on her way to a penal colony," lawyers Maria Blagovolina and Alexander Boykov said in a statement. They said Russia generally sends notifications of transforming prisoners by mail, taking up to two weeks. "We do not have any information on her...

Tuesday’s election, despite a half-billion dollars in spending to convince Californians to legalizing sports gaming. Campaigns for the two competing measures flooded the airwaves with a constant barrage of attack ads, which some California political poll directors criticized for driving up opposition and confusing voters. The Associated Press called the contests, though official results will take longer. Proposition 26 would have allowed in-person sports betting at tribal casinos and horse racing tracks. Leaders of four of California’s most successful Native American tribes with gaming interests are the original proponents of Proposition 26, which would impose a 10% tax on sports...
