SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Amid the U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade and ending federal protections on the right to an abortion, New Mexico’s Governor signed an executive order Monday related to abortion access in the state. The order addresses issues several outstanding issues as they related to New Mexico’s willingness to help other states that now have different laws on the books related to abortion. The order comes as New Mexico lawmakers consider more definitions surrounding abortion following the state’s 2021 law, repealing a 1969 abortion ban in New Mexico. The governor was joined at Monday’s...

The weekend was filled with Canadians protesting the Roe v. Wade reversal in the U.S., and local advocates want more acton for sexual and reproductive health rights in Canada. "Let’s stand in solidarity with U.S. activists fighting for reproductive justice, but also take action here at home," a statement from Joyce Arthur, Executive Director of Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada reads. "How can we help Americans coming to Canada for abortions when we don’t even have enough access ourselves?" "That’s especially the case for the most marginalized, including Indigenous, transgender, 2SLGBTQI+, immigrant, and youth communities. Now is the time for...

“Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession. The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out” (Proverbs 28:10-11).

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is working to officially dissolve his own government. In a move seen by many as the climax of one of the most bizarre sagas in Israeli political history, the political coalition that has held a very slim majority in the K’nesset (Israeli parliament) for the past year is seeking to abruptly end its own rule and bring the Jewish state to yet another round of elections in three months. But why on earth would the Israeli parliamentary coalition do that? The answer is simple: because Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu and his political allies are poised to...

Nearly 90 bikers claim they were falsely arrested after deadly shootout The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has reinstated the lawsuits – at least temporarily – of about 90 bikers arrested in the 2015 Twin Peaks shootout whose civil rights cases were thrown out last year by U.S. District Judge Alan Albright. A three-judge panel of the federal appeals court reversed Albright’s previous ruling that a grand jury’s indictment of the 90 bikers “served to break the chain of causation” for their false arrest claims and sent the cases back to Albright for further consideration in light of the...

Several recent Supreme Court decisions have been favorable to conservatives: abortion, gun rights, and religious liberty. Simultaneously, we have uni-partisan gun-control legislation that just became law. It encourages states with financial incentives to enact red flag laws to supposedly help prevent people with mental illness from unsafely accessing guns. While the Constitutionality of such laws is questionable at best, I suggest perhaps making lemonade out of lemons. Anyone who participates in mob attacks on churches and pro-lifers needs to be red-flagged. They are proving they are not mentally stable enough to use guns responsibly.

As the Washington Examiner reported this week, the end of the COVID-19 pandemic has done nothing to arrest the trend of people fleeing large cities in liberal coastal states for more pleasant and orderly locales, particularly in the Mountain West and the Sun Belt. A mixture of unreasonable pandemic restrictions, rising crime, lawlessness, and hostility toward employers has forced this continued urban exodus. A Census Bureau report released late last month shows which cities and towns have gained population and which have lost it. The data demonstrate that the states and cities that imposed the most draconian COVID-19 restrictions were...

Democrat Joe Biden lied ahead of the 2020 Presidential election when he said he had not spoken to his son about the corrupt business deals that his son was involved with- which included corrupted business dealings with top officials with the Chinese Community Party (CCP). Now, in a voicemail left on Hunter’s iPhone, the evidence has come from POTUS’ own mouth that he has been lying to the American people. The New York Post reported on Monday that Biden was sticking to his story:“White House press secretary Jen Psaki said April 22, 2022- that President Biden still maintains he never...

During the recent SCOTUS decision concerning Roe v Wade, Justice Clarence Thomas wrote a solo concurring opinion in which he argued that the Supreme Court should also reconsider rulings on contraception, same-sex relationships, and marriage. On Friday, Thomas wrote the court “correctly holds that there is no constitutional right to abortion. Respondents invoke one source for that right: the Fourteenth Amendment’s guarantee that no State shall ‘deprive any person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law.” He issued a separate opinion, he explained, “to emphasize a second, more fundamental reason why there is no abortion guarantee lurking...

WIMBLEDON, England — Novak Djokovic knows that, as things stand now, Wimbledon will be his last Grand Slam tournament of 2022, because he will not be able to play in the U.S. Open — he has not received any COVID-19 shots and can’t enter the United States as an unvaccinated foreigner. “That,” the 35-year-old from Serbia said Saturday at the All England Club, “is an extra motivation to do well here.” Djokovic began this season tied with Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer at 20 major championships, then the record for a man. But Djokovic’s decision not to get vaccinated led...

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel on Monday eased its regulations on abortion access in what the country’s health minister said was a response to last week's “sad” U.S. Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade. The new rules, approved by a parliamentary committee, grant women access to abortion pills through the country’s universal health system and remove a longstanding requirement that women appear physically before a special committee before they are permitted to terminate a pregnancy. The decision came after the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday stripped away women’s constitutional protections for abortion, a fundamental and deeply personal change for Americans’...

What could possibly go wrong? Border Report notes that “a shelter for Muslim migrants opened over the weekend in Tijuana, the first of its kind in all of Mexico.” This is no small-time effort: “The Latino Muslim Foundation, based in San Diego and Tijuana, raised half a million dollars to make the facility a reality.” Meanwhile, fifty people on the terror watch list have been apprehended at the Southern border so far this year, and there is no telling how many got across without being caught. Welcome to Old Joe Biden’s America. The shelter is, of course, a humanitarian effort. Sonia...

Joe Biden inadvertently financed his son Hunter’s dalliances with a Russia-linked escort ring, according to a report Monday. President Biden wired his 52-year-old son $100,000 to help him pay bills from December 2018 through January 2019, the Washington Examiner reported, citing records from a laptop Hunter Biden left behind at a computer repair shop in Delaware. Hunter Biden, meanwhile, had spent more than $30,000 on sex workers between November 2018 and March 2019, records show — including many linked to Russia-based email addresses and connected to an “exclusive model agency” called UberGFE, the outlet reported. Joe Biden wired Hunter $5,000...

Over the weekend, former Department of Justice lawyer Ken Klukowski called on the Jan. 6 Committee to release the full transcript of his deposition testimony to correct the lies they told about him to the American public. Now The Federalist has exclusively obtained a statement from a former White House staffer confirming Klukowski’s claims.Last Thursday, the Jan. 6, 2021 show trial continued, with the Democrat-stacked committee presenting testimony concerning a draft letter Jeff Clark, a former assistant attorney general in the Department of Justice, proposed sending to the Georgia legislature. California voters will decide in November whether to guarantee the right to an abortion in their state constitution, a question sure to boost turnout on both sides of the debate during a pivotal midterm election year as Democrats try to keep control of Congress after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The court’s ruling on Friday lets states decide for themselves whether to allow abortion. California is controlled by Democrats who support abortion rights, so access to the procedure won’t be threatened anytime soon. But the legal right to an abortion in California is based upon the “right...

People who suffer from ischaemic strokes with no previously diagnosed risk factors have been found to have underlying conditions in the majority of cases, a new study presented today has shown. Overall, the study identified 67.7% of stroke patients with previously undiagnosed major risk factors (UMRF) were found to have one major risk factor. The most common detected vascular risk factor was dyslipidaemia, an imbalance of blood fats such as high cholesterol or raised levels of triglycerides (61.4% of patients). The second most common risk factor was high blood pressure (23.7% of patients), and one in 10 (10.2% of patients)...
