On April 24, 1972, John Lennon released a new single: “Woman Is the ---- of the World.” Even at that time -- an era in which racial epithets were thrown around freely -- the title caused outrage. Billboard called it “the most controversial record of the year,” with one jukebox programmer telling the magazine, “John Lennon should quit trying to make points with the American public and do his own thing, like go back to England.” In a report issued at the time of the song’s release, the Los Angeles Times detailed that 300 stations across the U.S. had received...

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., addressed reporters before entering Nashville International Airport for what he said was his first flight since a judge threw out the Biden administration's mask mandate for public transportation. Paul, a doctor himself, had long been a fierce opponent of the mask mandate, and a regular challenger of government health officials throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. "It is a happy day! No more masks!" Paul cheered. "We’re seeing nothing but smiles here at the Nashville Airport. People have been tired, sick and tired of wearing the masks. We’re ready to be free again, and thank goodness for a...

[H/T COUNTrecount]All they have to do is answer a few questions we have.Steve KirschApr 22 OverviewEveryone agrees: COVID misinformation is a serious problem. It is not how America wants these disputes resolved.Instead, if the authorities really want to stop the so-called “misinformation spreaders,” all they have to do is create a document or video that answers the questions we have. If we find the answers compelling, we'll happily stop spreading “misinformation” and promote the...

Ana Navarro told her co-host Monday on ABC’s “The View ” that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) was waging an “anti-American” war against The Walt Disney Corporation. Co-host Joy Behar said, “So Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is punishing our parent company, Disney, for speaking out against his so-called ‘Don’t Say Gay’ law. Whatever she thinks she’s doing, American Federation of Teachers chief Randi Weingarten isn’t helping her members with such over-the-top extremism as claiming that things like Florida’s new parental-rights law are “the way in which wars start.” Yes, she actually argued on a podcast that parents and politicians worried about some teachers and school staff seeking to indoctrinate kids are just pushing “propaganda” and “misinformation.” “We’re not indoctrinating,” she said. “We’re not grooming. . . . What we’re doing is making sure we educate kids. We keep them safe. We keep them welcome. And we teach them how to think, not...

When it comes to disinformation, ex-prez Barack Obama is an expert. Just not in the way he seems to think. In a Stanford University speech Thursday, Obama called on Big Tech to “redesign” itself to face the dangers disinformation allegedly poses to the nation. SNIP Obama, after all, won PolitiFact’s “Lie of the Year” Award in 2013 for his endlessly repeated claim that under ObamaCare, “if you like your health plan, you can keep it.”
