So you think Russia did not do that in Bucha? SJ ANSWER: It is to the advantage of Zelensky who is appearing before every parliament he can ask for money. In Italy, he claimed Russians were capturing children and torturing them. That allegation vanished. He says whatever he can to get money. He could have just complied with the Belgrad and Minsk Agreements but he is determined to lead the world into war. The US Pentagon has come out and even said that they CAN NOT independently verify what took place in Bucha. There is no way to verify anything...

Gen. Alexander Dvornikov, commander of Russia’s southern military district (SMD), was reported to be Putin’s pick as the new commander to lead operations in Ukraine. If you aren’t a senior, but still experiencing ‘senior moments,’ you are in good company, according to recent Wall Street Journal report. "Our brains are like computers with so many tabs open right now," said Dr. Sara C. Mednick, a neuroscientist and professor of cognitive science at the University of California, Irvine. "This slows down our processing power, and memory is one of the areas that falters." ‘Senior moments,’ otherwise known as fleeting bursts of forgetfulness, are becoming more commonplace, according to memory experts.

The anxiety remains, but in Ukraine’s capital, large lines of cars are now forming on highways into the city and businesses are reopening. On Feb. 25, the day after Russia invaded Ukraine, Kolya Rybytva gathered his grandmother and younger sister and left Kyiv “quickly and without unnecessary sentiments,” he said, heading west. His parents and brother stayed behind to help in the war effort.“The decision was made in minutes,” he said, “and it was one of the most difficult in life, but we all understood that war does not provide comfortable solutions.”At the time, Mr. Rybytva, 24, understood that he...

This week, the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics (IOP) and The Atlantic magazine hosted a “Disinformation and the Erosion of Democracy” conference, and we have to hand it to IOP Director David Axlerod for bringing in true experts on the subject. The conference featured some of America’s greatest purveyors of disinformation, such as Barack Obama, Brian Stelter, Anne Applebaum, and a few token conservatives, including Jonah Goldberg and Adam Kinzinger. The media, government, and academia elites speaking at the conference weren’t expecting to be challenged as they self-righteously spewed more lies—but our team at the Chicago Thinker was prepared...

However this era of angry polarization, crime and violence ends, it will be left to historians to decipher how America got so far off track. Instead of building on our unprecedented prosperity and role as the world’s ultimate superpower, we declared war — cultural, political and social — on each other. Even our nation’s Founders are not spared. The reasons will be better understood in hindsight, but it’s hard to believe the 2016 presidential campaign won’t be seen as an inflection point. Our move toward disunion didn’t begin then, but it certainly gained steam and vitriol during and after the...

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) said on Sunday that Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) “wanted to be kicked out” of GOP House leadership amid fallout over her stance on former President Trump and the Jan. 6 insurrection. “Look, my view has always been that Liz Cheney wanted to be kicked out,” Christie said on ABC’s “This Week.” “Remember, the first time that she made the statement she made, she was reelected to her leadership position.”

TRAVERSE CITY — Passengers are lining up to fly to Traverse City, but airlines are having trouble lining up enough crews to pilot their planes. The result will be fewer commercial flights landing at Cherry Capital Airport this summer. “We’re not going to see as many flights as we had before,” Cherry Capital Airport Northwest Regional Airport Authority CEO Kevin Klein said this week. “The number of flights and the number of aircraft that are available to fly is all going to be dependent on the amount of crews and pilots and flight attendants that the airlines have.” Bad weather...

@barnes_law The Oz endorsement woke up some Trump supporters to what some of us have been warning about for awhile. Trump is totally, utterly out of touch on these kind of issues, surrounded by inept, corrupt advisors. Personnel was his weakness in office, and the problem is getting worse.

he U.S. economy is at a mounting risk of spiraling into a 1970s-style stagflation crisis as the Russia-Ukraine war exacerbates already sky-high inflation, according to a new analysis. The Economist Intelligence Unit, in a Thursday note, predicted that consumer prices will continue to hover near a 40-year-high "at least until the middle of the year," weighing on consumer spending and real GDP growth. The London-based group already lowered its forecast for U.S. GDP this year from 3.4% to 3%. Combined with an increasingly aggressive Federal Reserve, which lifted interest rates by a quarter-point in March and signaled at least six...

Brown's ascent to the seat is illegal. The vote must be vacated and the jurist removed. Fact: the nominee is not the first black woman considered for the court – not by a mile. “Judge Amalya Lyle Kearse, a Black woman from Vauxhall, New Jersey, was within arm’s reach of a Supreme Court nomination 41 years ago. And 35 years ago. And 31 years ago. And 28 years ago.” – FORBES“President” Joe Biden violated federal law in his selection of a supreme court jurist solely based on her sex and race. He considered no one else, and instructed his gofers...
