A French research team from t he Université Hospital of Lyon, about 250 miles southeast of Paris, presented findings of such at the European Society of Cardiology Acute CardioVascular Care conference, NBC reports. Findings are pending peer-review for publication in a medical journal. There is a well-publicized risk of developing heart inflammation as a result of receiving the Pfizer vaccine, with younger men in particular being in danger. The researchers hope that these concerns will not ward people away from receiving the jab, which has emerged as the most popular in America and much of the Western world. 'One of...

..."the entire shelter care hearing that was held yesterday was completely private and in secret. Now there is a violation of the Sixth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution which states that trials must be speedy and public. The reason for this is obvious. If you can be prosecuted, tried and sentenced in 100 percent in secret and nobody knows what is going on then any and all manner of corruption, abuse and tyranny can take place..." Among young and middle-aged adults with high blood pressure, a substantial rise in blood pressure upon standing may identify those with a higher risk of serious cardiovascular events, such as heart attack and stroke. "This finding may warrant starting blood-pressure-lowering treatment including medicines earlier in patients with exaggerated blood pressure response to standing," said Paolo Palatini, M.D. Typically, systolic (top number) blood pressure falls slightly upon standing up. In this study, researchers assessed whether the opposite response—a significant rise in systolic blood pressure upon standing—is a risk factor for heart attack and other serious cardiovascular events. At enrollment, six blood...

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) is likely to face Utah’s Attorney General Sean Reyes in the Republican primary, Politico reported Wednesday. Reyes, who is hugely supportive of Donald Trump’s America First agenda, may mount a challenge to Romney in 2024. The race could potentially coincide with Trump’s reelection campaign, offering a substantial opportunity for Reyes to oust Romney. “I guarantee Trump will come up with somebody,” Chair of the Utah Republican Party Carson Jorgensen told Politico. “There’s enough vitriol there that no matter if Trump is running for president, he will run a candidate against Romney.” Seventy-five-year-old Romney has not publicly...

Pro-life Sen. Josh Hawley expressed alarm Wednesday about U.S. Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson’s “soft” record on child sex offenders amid growing concerns about protecting children from abuse. Jackson, President Joe Biden’s nominee to replace retiring Justice Stephen Breyer, also has a pro-abortion record that includes working with abortion activists on a case about suppressing pro-life advocates’ free speech. Her record on unborn babies’ rights has pro-life advocates opposing her nomination. Now, Hawley’s findings are raising additional concerns about other vulnerable children. “Judge Jackson has a pattern of letting child porn offenders off the hook for their appalling crimes,...

Earlier today, President Trump released a statement putting Wisconsin House Speaker Robin Vos — a true RINO — on the spot for claiming that the legislature cannot decertify Wisconsin’s stolen 2020 Presidential Election. The Gateway Pundit reported that Vos admitted widespread voter fraud occurred in Wisconsin after attending a closed-door meeting with a group of concerned WI residents advocating for decertification. Vos then wrongly claimed that the legislature does not have the power to decertify the stolen election. President Trump put Robin Vos on notice for the massive election fraud that former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman exposed in...

In the interest of remembering that the average people of Russia and Ukraine are not much different from US, and are not their leaders: There's a great Russian/Ukrainian band called 'Leonid and Friends', which began as a Chicago cover band and I think has branched out. (I believe they've been mentioned here before.) My husband discovered them recently, and they're pretty amazing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kQ1llzPiB4A documentary was made about them (rather long - 26 minutes - but interesting for the explanation of the founder's concept of what he wanted to do with the band): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVXUlV86bAM&t=54s

Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel has sold $408 million in company stock since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, during which the firm’s share price soared more than 600% while it developed and rolled out its vaccine. The Cambridge, Massachusetts-based biotech firm developed the second-most popular vaccine used to combat COVID-19 in the United States. The shot jointly developed by Pfizer and BioNTech is the most widely used vaccine in the US. Since January 2020, Bancel cashed out stock options through the 10b5-1 plan which allows executives to sell a predetermined number of shares at regular intervals to avoid the possibility...

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D., Conn.) is denying that he owns individual stocks even after he disclosed that his family’s investment fund bought millions of dollars worth of shares earlier this year. Blumenthal, one of the richest members of Congress, claimed last month that he does not own stocks. But Blumenthal disclosed to the Senate Ethics Committee earlier this month that an investment fund controlled by his wife’s family bought between $1 million and $2 million in shares of four tech companies on Jan. 31, days before he denied owning any stocks. Asked about the apparent contradiction on Tuesday, Blumenthal’s office...

WASHINGTON — The Senate’s unanimous passage of a bill to make daylight saving time permanent stunned many Americans, not least of which the senators themselves. In a twist the Founding Fathers likely did not anticipate, quirky Senate conventions and a decision by staff in Sen. Tom Cotton’s office may result in an overhaul in the nation’s time zones. Reporters and politicos were caught off guard Tuesday afternoon when the Sunshine Protection Act sailed through the Senate without issue, with no senators speaking up to object to it passing by unanimous consent. Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, serving as Senate chair overseeing the...

Washington -- As I wrote many years ago, when an entity falls under the control of liberalism, it eventually loses all sense of what its purpose was to begin with. The entity can be as small as a schoolroom or as vast as a great city or even a nation. Hand over a schoolroom or a vast city to the leadership of a cabal of liberals, and you will eventually see the schoolroom devoted to teaching such balderdash as gender studies or critical race theory, and the great cities will be devoted to feeding large numbers of people nuts and...

A rare snake died while attempting to eat a giant centipede at a South Florida park, according to the FWC Fish and Wildlife Research Institute. Researchers said a hiker found the rare snake at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Pictures showed the snake dead with the rear portion of a centipede protruding from its mouth. “The state-threatened rim rock crowned snake lives in pine rockland and hammock habitats in eastern Miami-Dade County and the Keys,” FWC said in a Facebook post. Researchers said the snake usually grows between seven and nine inches long, but is rarely seen because it...

White House press secretary Jen Psaki didn’t even bother trying to defend her past claim that The Post’s reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop was “Russian disinformation” after the New York Times belatedly verified emails from the cache. Psaki was pressed Thursday at her regular briefing about her own misleading remarks and those of then-candidate Joe Biden.

A 13 year-old boy blamed for a crash that killed himself, his dad, six students and their golf coach set his house ablaze shortly before Christmas, a family friend has claimed. The unidentified youngster, killed alongside eight other people in Andrews, Texas, on Tuesday, burned down his family's home after leaving eggs unattended on a stove, family friend Aganetha Siemens said. 'Just before Christmas, their house burned down,' she said. 'The 13-year-old made some eggs and forgot about it.' She is not related to the boy or his dad, Heinrich Siemens, 38. Heinrich was a father of five, with his...
