Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) is likely to face Utah’s Attorney General Sean Reyes in the Republican primary, Politico reported Wednesday.
Reyes, who is hugely supportive of Donald Trump’s America First agenda, may mount a challenge to Romney in 2024. The race could potentially coincide with Trump’s reelection campaign, offering a substantial opportunity for Reyes to oust Romney.
“I guarantee Trump will come up with somebody,” Chair of the Utah Republican Party Carson Jorgensen told Politico. “There’s enough vitriol there that no matter if Trump is running for president, he will run a candidate against Romney.”
Seventy-five-year-old Romney has not publicly disclosed his intentions for 2024. Reports indicate Romney may retire and not compete against the MAGA candidate.
Reyes will reportedly determine in May whether he will challenge Romney. Trump has reportedly urged Reyes to displace Romney in the Senate.

Good...
Please retire, Romney. Early, in fact, if you want.
Good
My sentiments exactly . . . the sooner the better!
Where can I send money?
Better than you know, I know this guy and he could be president. I would back him with all my power. He got the Sound Money Act passed. He personally took down pedophiles. He cleaned house in Utah and set an example with a second-to-none work ethic.
Yes indeed, very good news.
Mittens needs a lesson. Maybe more than one.
re Mormons racist-even on their own kind? We’ll see.
He stabbed Trump in the back weeks after Trump pushed him over the finish line.
Analysis: Mitt became a Senator for two reasons: Be a thorn in Trump's side (and that of anyone who supports him) and prep for another possible Presidential run.
Trump is out and 2024 is the last chance Romney realistically could run. If he runs for President he will not simultaneously run for the Senate unless it's a guarantee lock no-brainer, no effort win for him. The optics of him being behind in polls for a Senate seat while trying to win the presidency would be very bad so he would not take the risk if there is any competition of note.
On the other hand, if he does not run for the Presidency then his mission as a Senator (mess with MAGA) is done anyway and he'll walk away. The only wildcard is of Trump is the nominee. If that happens Romney could run to keep his Senate seat so he can attack Trump and block every good thing he tries to do. He's that much a vindictive, mean spirited, black hearted man that he's rather see the country burn than Trump get credit for elevating it.
If I could I’d move to Utah just to vote against Romney.
“He stabbed Trump in the back weeks after Trump pushed him over the finish line”
Romney became the first POS to vote to convict a President of his own party, not once but twice.

Trump impeachment 1- Romney becomes Judas.
Trump impeachment 2- Romney plus 6 other “losers & suckers” betray Trump & MAGA.
The 6 other Senate losers & suckers were Burr, Collins, Murkowski,Cassidy, Toomey, & Sasse.

Romney is a classic MUGWUMP.
If that’s his mug I don’t want to begin to imagine...
Excellent. Someone needs to run against this traitor.
