Or will the prime minister's crackdown send a dire warning to the watching world? On Wednesday in Ottawa, a police officer stepped into a bar to deliver a message from the Canadian government to the truckers protesting Canada's vaccine mandates. In the course of his videotaped delivery, among other things, he said: Remove your trucks yourselves now ... or ... you will be forfeiting the trucks to the Crown and those associated with those trucks will be arrested. One trucker responded to the officer, "Just remove the mandates, and we'll leave." Apparently, that was an option the police were not...

I like political leaders who speak plainly about the dangers of communism. I recall Ronald Reagan calling the communists in Russia an evil empire for the way they oppressed their people and the peoples of Eastern Europe in the 1980s. I liked the way he called Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall. Reagan was the leader of the free world calling out the communists for oppressing their people. Reagan called a spade a spade. Our current leaders do not speak so clearly. When he was running for President, Joe Biden said this about Communist China, “I want China to...

The United States government, Big Tech and Cancel Culture have combined into a triple threat to the American Constitutional Republic American by laying siege to the Bill of Rights, particularly the right to freedom of speech. Examples abound. GoFundMe has interfered with the use of millions of dollars raised on its platform by the “Freedom Convoy” of Canadian truckers. YouTube has banned Dan Bongino from its platform for voicing opinions about Covid-19 which are not the same as those from the Centers of Disease Control. Spotify has begun posting disclaimers on Joe Rogan podcast episodes that discuss Covid-19, with Cancel...

It is a basic principle of psychological warfare and propaganda that the assignment of a name that sticks to somebody or something can make or break that person or entity. A fictional example from the Game of Thrones series exemplifies this. If you're a slave in Meereen, and somebody called the "Mother of Dragons" and "Breaker of Chains" is outside your masters' walls with an army, you'll probably pick up anything you can use as a weapon to join a slave revolt. If we look at a real historical example, serfs who had previously been willing to do almost anything...

Of this we can be sure: Justin Trudeau and his friends will be at it until the people of the world rise and give them the boot. “Every word he says he is a lie. A nose as long as the trucker‘s convoy.” Dr. Jordan B. Peterson When thousands of truckers drove toward Ottawa in protest against the vaccine mandates, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau described them as “the small fringe minority” holding “unacceptable views.” As the movement gained momentum and the truckers were joined and cheered on by scores of their compatriots objecting to Canada’s regime of Covid oppression,...

As early as 1932, according to the records of Hermann Rauschning (1887–1982), a leading NSDAP man in Danzig/Gdansk, Hitler stated: "This devilish 'Thou shall, thou shall!' And that stupid 'Thou shall not!' We must clean our blood from it, from this curse of Mount Sinai! ... The day will come when against these commandments I will erect the tables of a new law. And history will recognize our movement as the great battle for the liberation of mankind, liberation from the curse of Sinai. ... That is it what we are fighting: this masochistic attitude of self-torturing, this curse of...

On my twenty-first birthday I welcome the opportunity to speak to all the peoples of the British Commonwealth and Empire, wherever they live, whatever race they come from, and whatever language they speak.Let me begin by saying 'thank you' to all the thousands of kind people who have sent me messages of good will. This is a happy day for me; but it is also one that brings serious thoughts, thoughts of life looming ahead with all its challenges and with all its opportunity. At such a time it is a great help to know that there are multitudes of friends...

Buck passing is a time-honored tradition in American politics. A former Minnesota Governor once wryly observed that successful leaders have perfected the ability to take credit for things that they don’t deserve and avoid the blame for those things which they do. Harry Truman had a sign on his desk that famously said, “The Buck Stops Here.” By the time Mr. Biden arrived at the Oval Office that sign was long gone. Rumor has it that Donald Trump had a sign that read, “I kick buck and take names! (You got a problem with that?)” The current clueless Commodore of...

Thanks for joining us, and a special welcome to first-time readers.Today we study 2 Samuel 11, the story of David and Bathsheba, one of the most famous and dramatic chapters in the Old Testament (Hebrew Bible). The chapter has a movie-worthy plotline involving murder, sexual submission, royal power, deceit, and evil intentions. The main characters are brave, loyal, beautiful, selfish, and sinful. Ultimately, the Lord had a starring role concerning the consequences of sins committed in chapter 11 by King David, as reflected in the last verse: “But the thing David had done displeased the Lord” (2 Samuel 11:27). (Note...

When you look at the people on CNN the absolute last thing to come to your mind is “sex.” Now that I’ve planted that thought in your head you’ve probably thrown up in your mouth a little bit, sorry about that. But while “CNN” and “sex” are the brushing your teeth and drinking orange juice of cable news, it turns out the network founded by Ted Turner was pretty much an unaccountable key party that appears to have come to an end. For those who haven’t seen a movie featuring one, or didn’t live through the 1970s and attend one,...

There has never been in America a Jewish Question, at least, not until now. America was built on the idea of a universal identity and a tolerance of differences. From the evolution of a liberal Protestant theology to George Washington’s embrace of the Jewish community, America -- unlike Europe -- did not see the Jews as strangers in its midst, as a people apart, or as a group whose identity stood at variance with others. In America, there was no compelling desire for society to define the Jew. In Europe, Karl Marx, himself born a Jew and later a convert...

In Major League Baseball, starting pitchers get plenty of press, all the glory, and the really big bucks. But true afficionados of the sport know that a team is only as good as its bullpen, a collection of lesser known pitchers who are called upon when the starting pitcher runs out of gas. When it comes to the U.S. government, who's our big stud starting pitcher? Why, that would be "Clueless Joe" Biden, the crusty old conniver who turns eighty in November. Clueless Joe may have once had a political fastball and the ability to put it where he wanted....

If you want to feed on fake news, be bombarded by endless praise-filled coverage of scoundrels whose fame is undeserved, and listen to just plain idiocy, keep watching television news. With the latest conviction of former media star Michael Avenatti, I’ve made my case. Not only does the story of his rise and fall illustrate my point, but the failure of the media that gave him so much praise and coverage is not the end of it. Their lack of curiosity about his funding, even to this day, further condemns them as mere propagandists for the Left. At present he’s...

The wokest of all U.S. national sports teams just got a little less woke. U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) head coach Vlatko Andonovski has called up a roster that features youth and players the team will rely on in the future. It does not, however, feature noted USWNT anthem-protester Megan Rapinoe. Megan Rapinoe kneels during the National Anthem prior to the match between the United States and the Netherlands at Georgia Dome on September 18,... NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told the league’s 32 teams Saturday that the results of the current hiring cycle for head coaches have been “unacceptable” with regard to diversity, saying the league will retain outside experts to help “reevaluate and examine all policies” guiding minority hiring. Goodell made his comments in a memo sent to the teams and all NFL employees four days after former Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores sued the league and teams Tuesday, accusing them of racial discrimination. The NFL has only one active Black head coach. No Black head coaches have been hired so far this offseason...

Chris Wallace recently left his long-time, top position as the host of “Fox News Sunday.” Being the principled newsman that he is, he chose to run over to the shining jewel of journalism that is CNN to be part of their new streaming service. Since that announcement, we haven’t heard much of anything from Wallace. Per Radar Online, which broke the Zucker story weeks before Zucker’s resignation, Wallace is not happy about the development. In wake of the decision from WarnerMedia suits to oust Jeff Zucker, Wallace is said to be “second guessing his decision” even though he is believed...

On a cold Tuesday, lifelong Florida resident Amanda Brody traveled to Punxsutawney, but not to take part in Groundhog Day festivities. She and 10 others arrived a day early to protest “the abuse of live animals.” Brody, 29, is a senior campaigner for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. She travels the country, organizing and leading protests against animal abuse. It’s a full-time job and “my career and passion,” she said in a telephone interview from her home in West Palm Beach. She’s signed on with PETA four years ago — one year after she became a vegan and...
