On Thursday afternoon, Stutzman's attorneys sent the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) an agreement to withdraw her Supreme Court petition in exchange for them declining to pursue further legal action. The 76-year-old grandmother told Fox News that she's retiring and leaving her business, Arlene's Flowers, to its employees.

Wisconsin Lt. Governor, Mandela Barnes: Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes said Monday the police shooting of a Black man by Kenosha officers "wasn't an accident," after the man was shot seven times in the back "in front of his children." "This wasn't bad police work," Barnes said in an address Monday. "This felt like some sort of vendetta taken out on a member of our community." Speaking alongside Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers, Barnes said "the irony isn't lost on me that Jacob Blake was actually trying to deescalate a situation in his community, but the responding officer didn't feel the...

God has committed himself to healing. Think about this God is so committed to healing that He put healing in the body. If you break a bone or cut yourself the body doesn't stay that way. He put healing in the creation in Ezekiel 47:12 in the latter part of the verse it says, that the leaf of the tree shall be for medicine (healing). You and I both know that people use plants and herbs and get wonderful results. He put healing in his word, Psalm 107:20 says, He sent his word and healed them. In Proverbs 4:20-23 it...

“The whole apparatus for spreading knowledge, the schools and the press, wireless and cinema, will be used exclusively to spread those views which, whether true or false, will strengthen the belief in the rightness of the decisions taken by the authority; and all information that might cause doubt or hesitation will be withheld.”Friedrich Hayek, The Road to Serfdom (1944) I just received a remarkable invitation to an upcoming lecture series entitled, “Weeding out Neutrality,” the advertised speakers being “activist librarians” who aim to destroy “old myths about libraries and neutrality” so they can curate collections that are openly and...

The West, in short, was Christendom. But Christendom died. If you live in the West now, you are living among its ruins. Many of them are still beautiful — intact cathedrals, Bach concertos — but they are ruins nonetheless.[1] The West is literally unmoored. Nothing controls us except untouchable elites, a corrupt press, arrogant billionaires, special interests, a degraded judiciary, and a goony-bird academy. These are the source of our degradation and decay into rule by the grade-A, vitamin enriched, non-GMO, tofu-flavored, yoga-toned Virtuous Ones. It’s all top down from now with nothing springing from the soil of past...

The FBI is investigating the possibility that union boss Jimmy Hoffa’s body is buried in a former landfill in Jersey City under the Pulaski Skyway, a report said. The search was sparked after a tip passed down from a worker who said he buried Hoffa in a steel drum just outside of the former PJP Landfill, now Skyway Park, the New York Times said. An FBI spokesperson confirmed to The Post that agents had conducted a “site survey” under the Skyway last month after obtaining a search warrant, but wouldn’t say if the search had anything to do with Hoffa,...

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — The federal government said Thursday that it’s beginning the process of repealing a Trump-era rule that permitted road-building and logging harvesting in an enormous southeast Alaska rainforest that provides habitat for wolves, bears and salmon. The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that a proposed measure to repeal last year’s rule will be published for public comment next week, beginning a 60-day process. The previous rule exempted more than 9 million acres (36,421 square kilometers) in the Tongass National Forest from a 2001 rule that banned road construction, reconstruction and timber harvesting in roadless areas, with some...

“No worst, there is none,” wrote the poet Gerard Manley Hopkins, about human states of mind. If he were alive today, he might write, “No most absurd, there is none,” about our current contortions of language. In a publication aimed at dermatologists, the Dermatology Times, we read in an article devoted to the treatment of the skin in transgender patients the following: Patients of reproductive potential who are not…abstinent with penis-containing partners, 2 forms of contraception are required.

As the Kyle Rittenhouse case goes down to the wire, there are credible reports that the jurors’ verdict count is a lot closer than many have been led to believe. The volatile situation outside of the Kenosha, Wisconsin courtroom was reported by Newsmax, which relates that sources have informed it the current verdict count is split. The Newsmax reporter pointed to several media reports that indicate they overheard Kyle Rittenhouse’s attorney Mark Richards saying that he believes the jury is at a ‘6-6 split.’ The startling report comes amidst reports of juror intimidation and even an attempted report that would...

NEW YORK (Reuters) -A New York trial judge on Thursday temporarily blocked the New York Times from publishing some materials concerning the conservative activist group Project Veritas, a rare step that the newspaper said violated decades of First Amendment protections for the process. The order by Justice Charles Wood of the Westchester County Supreme Court covers memos written by a Project Veritas lawyer and obtained by the Times. Wood scheduled a hearing for next Tuesday to consider a longer prohibition against publication, and whether the Times should remove references to privileged attorney-client information in a Nov. 11 article about Project...

“We’re definitely willing to pull our business and deal with all the complications that come with it,” Simon said in interview Thursday with CNN. “Because this is certainly, this is bigger than the business,” added Simon. “Women need to be respected and not censored,” said Simon. One of China’s most recognizable tennis stars, Peng has not been seen in public since she accused former Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli of coercing her into sex at his home three years ago, according to screenshots of a since-deleted social media post dated November 2. Her post on Weibo, China’s Twitter-like platform, was deleted...

Two children reported missing out of Tennessee and Kentucky have been found safe in Dana Point, and a suspect in the case is in custody, authorities announced Thursday. Noah Clare, 3, and Amber Clare, 16, were located less than a day after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations released new surveillance images that they said confirmed both kids were with 35-year-old Jacob Clare. He’s the father of Noah and Amber’s uncle. The children were recovered after a concerned woman spotted a boy matching the toddler’s description and reporting the sighting to law enforcement, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Following a tumultuous year for Tesla including a company relocation helmed by CEO Elon Musk, viral reports of cars on fire and other self-admitted quality control issues, Tesla has plummeted on Consumer Reports’ annual list of most-reliable carmakers. The electric car manufacturer now ranks 27th out of 28 car brands on Consumer Reports’ list, above only Ford-owned legacy luxury brand Lincoln. Much of it has to do with the overall instability of electric vehicles in general — especially SUVs — which Consumer Reports’ Jake Fisher said during a presentation are the “absolute bottom in terms of reliability,” according to Reuters....

Soldiers who refuse to get the COVID-19 vaccine and have not requested an exemption will no longer be allowed to re-enlist or be promoted. That applies to active-duty troops as well as reservists and National Guardsmen, including those serving in states whose governors do not require the vaccine. Under a policy announced in a Nov. 16 memo signed by Army Secretary Christine Wormuth, troops’ service records will be flagged the day they make their final vaccine refusal, which follows a meeting with a medical professional and a second order to get vaccinated. This flag will bar them from being promoted,...
