A 29-year-old Catskill man is in a Syracuse burn unit after he burst into flames when Catskill police officers used a Taser to subdue him after he had doused himself with hand sanitizer, police confirmed on Friday. Jason Jones, a celebrated athlete at Catskill High School more than a decade ago, is in an intensive care unit at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse. His condition is grave, according to people briefed on the matter. The incident unfolded last weekend when Jones, who appeared intoxicated, walked into the village police department and got into a confrontation with officers. Chief Dave Darling,...

On Monday morning, thousands of citizens gathered in Grand Park outside Los Angeles City Hall to protest the city’s authoritarian vaccine mandate. A large percentage of the crowd – if not the majority – were municipal workers, including members of the LAPD and LAFD, as well as employees of several other city departments. Los Angeles’ citywide deadline for its employees to get the jab is set to kick in on December 18th. Anyone who is not vaccinated by that time will be fired from their jobs unless they have obtained an exemption – and we all know how likely they...

Not for the first time, Pete Buttigieg is vowing to do something about America's "racist" interstate highway system. As absurdly silly as it might be for the Biden-tapped US Transportation Secretary to be prioritizing tackling supposedly racist roads, it was perhaps the question itself from a reporter that reached new asinine depths - made all the more laughable given the "seriousness" of the lengthy exchange related to last week's bipartisan infrastructure bill which passed through Congress. This was a real question by CNN (who else?) White House correspondent April Ryan during a Monday press briefing... amid Biden admin plans to "deconstruct...

It was a bad day for key prosecution witness Gaige Grosskreutz, the third person shot by Kyle Rittenhouse during the Kenosha riots last year, during cross-examination by the defense on Monday as they got him to admit he lied several times about what happened in the aftermath of the shootings. Grosskreutz testified he was carrying a Glock 27 handgun the night of the shootings despite the fact his concealed carry license was expired. Grosskreutz added he saw Rittenhouse running away after hearing gunshots. Grosskreutz said when he found Rittenhouse running away and asked him if he shot someone, Rittenhouse told...

Australians will need to get COVID booster shots annually “for the foreseeable future” to combat CCP Virus, according to the country’s Pharmacy Guild.Trent Twomey, the president of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia (PGA), warned that people may need to get booster shots every 6 to 12 months to keep more deadly variants at bay.“The question is what booster and what interval we need to get that booster, whether it’s every six, nine or 12 months. Those decisions need to be based on evidence and facts and at the moment that is an evolving space,” he told Nine newspapers.Twomey noted that...

Early Excess Power Using NRL Pd-B Cathodes Melvin H. Miles College of Science and Technology, Dixie State University St. George, Utah 84770 (USA) Email: mhmiles1937@gmail.com The excess power in cold fusion experiments appears unusually early for Pd-B cathodes prepared by NRL (U.S. Naval Research Laboratory). This early excess power may exceed 100 mW and can be measurable within minutes of the start of the D2O + LiOD electrolysis. This effect readily exceeds the maximum possible excess power for deuterium loading into the palladium. This unusual early excess power effect was first noted by Martin Fleischmann in his analysis of the...

The Republican challenging the Democrat New Jersey governor in the 2021 gubernatorial race may pursue a full recount if—after all outstanding ballots get counted—the winning margin for the governor is too small. The campaign of Jack Ciattarelli, a Republican who challenged New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy running for reelection, said on Monday in a statement that Murphy is leading the election by 2.6 percent or by over 66,000 of the vote, according to unofficial results. There are approximately 70,000 provisional ballots not counted and an unknown number of vote-by-mail ballots are still being received through today which when fully tallied “may reduce...

Some wonder if it’s true that conservative news organizations are really fact-checked to the extent they claim or if they’re just using it as an excuse to not do the hard work and call out the people who need calling out. I am here to tell you that it’s true and give you some examples of what we face in our communications with fact-checkers, whose reviews of our articles can lead to a massive loss of revenue and potentially put us out of business. As Scott Hounsell wrote, the level of scrutiny applied to our articles over the last 18 months...

Treatment with arginine, one of the amino-acid building blocks of proteins, enhanced the effectiveness of radiation therapy in cancer patients with brain metastases. The study reported arginine, which can be delivered in oral form, prior to standard radiation therapy in 31 patients who had brain metastases. Nearly 78 percent had a complete or partial response in their brain tumors over the follow-up period of up to four years, while only 22 percent of the 32 patients who received a placebo prior to radiotherapy had such a response. The trial was designed to gauge the effectiveness of arginine as a "radiosensitizer"...

As our Jennifer O’Connell reported earlier today, California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-French Laundry) hasn’t been seen in public since October 27, the day he received his COVID-19 vaccine booster. Newsom was scheduled to fly to Glasgow to attend the COP26 climate change conference two days later, but his trip was abruptly canceled. Initially some speculated that perhaps he realized how silly it was to fly across the globe to speak at a climate change conference when he could simply participate virtually. Then, Newsom’s office claimed he was attending to “unspecified family issues” and his office wouldn’t elaborate when asked by...

During an appearance on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Monday, Former Democratic Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard said that “more and more Democrats are pushing” the racialization of American politics and it is “tearing” the nation apart. WATCH: (video at link) “Unfortunately as we see too often, more and more Democrats are pushing this racialization,” Gabbard told host and Daily Caller co-founder, Tucker Carlson. “They are pushing more fomenting of anger and hatred and divisiveness that really is destroying us. It’s causing more suffering and more harm to the American people and the fabric of our country and undermining these values that...

It turns out that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) was not as unified on the notion of pushing vaccine mandates as it initially seemed. Come December 1, the NIH’s main bioethics department will host a live-streamed roundtable session over the ethics and practicality of vaccine mandates. Leading the charge will be Dr. Matthew Memoli, who runs a clinical studies unit within Dr. Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), according to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ). Memoli, who has served at the NIH for 16 years and recently received an NIH director’s award, both opposes vaccine mandates...

The advent of two antiviral pills from vaccine maker Pfizer and fellow pharmaceutical giant Merck should render the scientific case for President Biden's heavy-handed coronavirus vaccine mandate "obsolete", Johns Hopkins physician Dr. Marty Makary said Monday. Makary told "Fox News Primetime" that one of the two breakthrough drugs all but eradicates the probability of death from the virus. The Pfizer pill cut hospitalization and death rates by nearly 90% in high-risk adults according to the Associated Press. Pfizer said it will ask the FDA and international regulators to authorize its pill as soon as possible after independent experts recommended halting...

Alec Baldwin's wife, Hilaria, is getting trashed after sharing a montage of the couple's happy kids frolicking around the Vermont mansion her family has been staying in since the 63-year-old actor accidentally fatally shot his colleague last month. Sharing a video of several of her children enjoying the fall season at their temporary abode, the 37-year-old Boston-born yoga instructor captioned the post – which was set to some upbeat music – "Checking in and sharing a few moments. Being together. I know you worry. We love you and miss you." Her tone was strikingly different from what it was a...

New Zealand beefed up security measures at its parliament on Tuesday as thousands of people gathered to protest against COVID-19 vaccine mandates and government lockdowns. All but two entrances to the parliament building, known as the Beehive, were closed off in the presence of unprecedented levels of police and security personnel, as mostly unmasked protesters marched through central Wellington and congregated outside parliament. While the demonstration was peaceful, many people were seen holding signs and placards with messages like “Freedom” and “Kiwis are not lab rats” and shouting slogans as they demanded the government roll back compulsory vaccination and lift...

The leader of an effort by Central American migrants to walk across southern Mexico said Monday the group will now head to the U.S. border, rather than Mexico City as originally planned. Leader and immigration activist Irineo Mujica said in a video that he will try to organize another caravan of thousands of migrants to reach the Gulf coast state of Veracruz, where both groups will join up and set out for the border. The apparent change in plans comes after Mujica said the group has been pursued and harassed by Mexican government officials. Relations deteriorated after a group of...
