On Tuesday, November 2, the Democratic Party suffered a serious electoral walloping. Republican gains - in states and districts we were long told were solid blue - showed that a public horrified by the tyrannical Biden/Harris/Pelosi/Schumer regime is indeed able to channel that horror into effective action in the voting booth. Some would expect the Democratic Party leadership to regroup after being dealt such a stern lesson… but not our Democrats. No, the lesson they took from this election was that they can expect to be turned into a minority party in 2022, so they had better make the most...

The Belfast-born singer opposes restrictions to curb the spread of the virus, and has released several songs criticizing lockdowns. He denounced Northern Ireland Health Minister Robin Swann during a gathering at Belfast’s Europa Hotel in June after a Morrison concert was canceled at the last minute because of virus restrictions. The defamation suit relates to three incidents in which Morrison criticized Swann, calling him “a fraud” and “very dangerous.” …

Researchers found that more than 80% of the white-tailed deer sampled in different parts of Iowa between December 2020 and January 2021 tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. ======================================================================= More than 80% percent of the white-tailed deer sampled in different parts of Iowa between December 2020 and January 2021 tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. The percentage of SARS-CoV-2 positive deer increased throughout the study, with 33% of all deer testing positive. The findings suggest that white-tailed deer may be a reservoir for the virus to continually circulate and raise concerns of emergence of new strains that may prove a threat to wildlife and,...

The CEO of FedEx said on Sunday the transport company will be able to meet holiday demand “assuming that we can get the employees,” as a number of industries continue to grapple with decreased workforces because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Asked by host Margaret Brennan on CBS’s “Face the Nation” if Christmas presents will arrive on time this holiday season, FedEx CEO Fred Smith said “I think we’re ready for this,” as long as he has enough workers. He said FedEx and other companies have seen a shortage in workers in part because of the highly infectious delta variant, and...

The World Health Organization (WHO) is warning U.S. officials that the country should take notice of Europe, the current global epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic, and learn from its mistakes. WHO Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge said that vaccination rates in Europe have plateaued and the region is seeing a fourth wave. "The basic principle is, if there is a situation where the peak is accelerating, don't wait" to bring back anti-virus measures, and "the earlier, the stricter, the better," Kluge told CBS News.

With Los Angeles County’s new COVID-19 vaccine proof requirements now in effect for bars and other venues, bartenders are faced with turning away paying customers and worrying about having to deal with unruly patrons. The venues will have to make sure that customers aged 12 and older have taken two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson at least 14 days before trying to enter the venue. But critics have voiced concern over the differing rules in the city and county sowing confusion for businesses and customers, and putting those in L.A. at...

It won’t take long for the Aaron Rodgers controversy to be forgotten. The future Hall of Famer committed the “sins” of not publicly disclosing his unvaxxed status before testing positive with Covid-19, then going after the “woke mob” that has targeted him ever since. Compared to the plethora of violent criminals who seem to invariably get a pass because they can catch the football or make a tackle, the Rodgers scandal is mild. One of his long-time sponsors, State Farm, issued a statement of acknowledgement. They offered lukewarm support for his right to choose but otherwise embraced the universal vaccination...

Trucking industry groups issued warnings after President Joe Biden’s administration unveiled a COVID-19 vaccine rule targeting private businesses with 100 or more workers, saying the mandate would damage the industry. “As we made clear in our comments to the administration prior to the rule’s publication, drivers spend the vast majority of their workday alone in the cab and outside,” the American Trucking Associations President Chris Spear said in a statement last week after the rule was published in the Federal Register. On Nov. 4, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released guidance stipulating businesses with 100 or more employees...
