Editor's note: This piece was authored by Caleb Ashley. When Sen. Bernie Sanders dropped out of the 2016 Democratic presidential primary after an ultimately futile assault against the Democrat establishment, no one could’ve imagined he’d be a loyal foot soldier focused on party loyalty six years later. Right now, Sanders is leading negotiations with other Democrats to ensure his climate and health care priorities remain in the Democrat’s $1.75 trillion dollar spending bill, but there’s little doubt Sanders will ultimately support the bill. This isn't not how it used to be. But Sanders' transformation from outsider to enforcer of Democrat purity...

Vulnerable Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) praised President Joe Biden’s controversial vaccine mandate on Thursday, Punchbowl News reported. “We know there’s one thing that’s gonna get us through this completely and that’s to get people vaccinated,” Kelly stated. “So encouraging a business to vaccinate their employees is a good thing.” Kelly, a “moderate” senator and retired astronaut, is up for reelection in 2022. Though Kelly comes from a purple state, he has supported the vast majority of the Biden-Harris administration’s radical legislation. The Republican candidate to defeat Kelly in the midterms, Blake Masters, who is supported by investor Peter Thiel,...

The Biden administration on Thursday announced the deadline for his private employer vaccine mandate, raising serious questions about how the rule will exacerbate the supply chain crisis. According to RealClearPolitics’ Tom Bevan, there is no exemption for the trucking industry and there will likely be drivers who quit over the mandate. “So all the biggest trucking companies in America - who already face major driver shortages - will see a % of their workforce quit. Supply chain crisis is going to get much worse - very soon,” he warned. Bevan noted that a significant percentage of drivers are unvaccinated, which...

The Learjet liberals – the world's wokerati – flew into Glasgow, Scotland, to plot against gasoline, goshawks (birdies) and you. The annual "Conference of the Parties" (COP26) as well as Joe Biden's plans for greenhouse-gas pollution reduction and clean-energy technologies demand the following reminders: Gasoline is a glorious resource. Drilling for oil is the second-most efficient, cheapest – and hence cleanest – source of energy. "It requires only a narrow hole in the earth," explained the Wall Street Journal, "and is extracted as a highly concentrated form of energy" – it "is up to 1,000 times more efficient than solar...

..for worst case scenario. Etc. Spot price is market value at point of origin exclusive of mining costs, etc. I get it. But where to buy in a metropolitan setting. "Fast Ernie's Gold Depot" is likely not a good place. Nor the local pawn shop. Where, in the big city, to pick up a few ounces? How to price?

It's important to keep elections in perspective. The Youngkin win in Virginia was a backlash against wokeness and willful societal destruction in the name of not being a horrible person. The old saying "nice guys finish last" reflects the rough and tumble world of politics. For those who would rather maintain civility, decency and self respect, it's sometimes better to lose than to get into the gutter with one's opponent just to win, depending on what one stands to win. When it comes to a bonus, or a raise, one might opt to remain decent and faithful to the virtues...

Glasgow (AFP) – Thousands of youth activists were preparing to descend on Glasgow on Friday to protest against what they say is a dangerous lack of action by leaders at the COP26 climate summit. Demonstrations are expected across the Scottish city to highlight the disconnect between the glacial pace of emissions reductions and the climate emergency already swamping countries across the world. Organisers of the Fridays for Future global strike movement said they expected large crowds at the planned three-hour protest during COP26 "Youth Day", which will be attended by high-profile campaigners Greta Thunberg and Vanessa Nakate. "This UN Climate...

resident Joe Biden returned the morning of Nov. 3 to a nation that no longer supports him or his party. Virginia, which he carried 55% to 44% in 2020, has elected Republican Glenn Youngkin as governor, Republicans for lieutenant governor and attorney general, and recaptured a majority in the House of Delegates. Even more startlingly, in New Jersey, which Biden carried 57% to 41%, Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy is currently leading Republican Jack Ciattarelli by about 29,000 votes, with a few more to be counted. New Jersey, as part of the New York and Philadelphia media markets, has long been...

Democrats will never finish their meddling work until the electorate ends them. Here is a headline: Sen. Steve Sweeney, a longtime Garden State Democrat leader, is trailing Republican challenger Edward Durr by thousands of votes. It says something about America’s current electoral system that two days after a race we can’t divine who won. Sounds like a s***hole country to me, but then I was born a long time ago. So far Democrats have offered only two excuses for the battering they took on Tuesday. Tim Kaine says that Democrats lost because they failed to pass the elephantine “infrastructure” and...

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio (WCMH) — A homeowner in Violet Township shot at a suspect who attacked her, hitting him at least three times, according to Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office. It happened Friday on the 12000 block of Pickerington Road. Deputies responded to the report of a single-car crash to find that the driver had run away, then returned to the scene. Deputies say the driver started physically fighting with a man and woman who were standing outside their home. One of the homeowners pulled a gun and told the man to stop fighting, but he began to attack her. Deputies...

I can’t begin to tell you, as an overseas observer, how refreshing it was to see the results of recent American state and local elections. As someone who had become convinced that America had gone completely off the rails in a dogged pursuit of Marxist insanity by a malevolent Politburo whose central policy was to control the people and change the demographics of the country making it impossible for them ever to lose power, it was inspiring to see the common folk rise up and express themselves in overwhelming numbers, setting back the woke regressive agenda of their leaders. It...

Engracia Figueroa, an impassioned activist for people with disabilities, died after complications from injuries she sustained in July when her custom wheelchair was destroyed by United Airlines. Figueroa's passing was announced by Hand in Hand, a national network of domestic workers who advocate for dignified working conditions, of which she was a member of the California chapter. “Engracia Figueroa, a fierce advocate for people with disabilities, passed away on Sunday due to complications from injuries she sustained when United Airlines destroyed her custom wheelchair last July.” #FlyingWhileDisabled #Disability..... History repeats itself. History repeats itself. History repeats itself. This is because human nature does not change. This is because power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Today's America reminds us more and more and more of Germany in the early 1930s. With proper credit given to German pastor Martin Niemoller... – They came after President Trump, but I said nothing because I did not like his tweets. – They came after the J-6 protesters who have been locked up as political prisoners, but I said nothing because they seemed a little too "unwashed." – They came after the Founding...

"I don't think parents should be telling schools what they should teach." With this remark -- arrogant, dismissive, contemptuous -- in his debate with Glenn Youngkin, Terry McAuliffe committed a historic gaffe. From that debate forward, his poll numbers steadily sank until McAuliffe lost his lead, and with it, the election. And going down to defeat, McAuliffe dragged with him his fellow Democratic candidates for lieutenant governor and attorney general and watched Virginia's House of Delegates revert to Republican rule. What was McAuliffe saying, and what were Virginians hearing, in his remark? McAuliffe was saying that, in deciding what should...

Climate change denial is spreading unchecked on Facebook, two studies by disinformation researchers have found. The Center for Countering Digital Hate and the Institute for Strategic Dialogue said less than 10% of misleading posts were marked as misinformation. It found that of 7,000 misleading posts describing climate change as "hysteria", "alarmism", a "scam", or other related terms, only 8% were marked as misinformation. Facebook pledged to flag climate denial content early this year. The CCDH looked at a sample of posts from the past year which attracted roughly 700,000 likes and shares. Researchers used social media analytics tool Newswhip to...

A judge ruled Wednesday that he'll seat one Black juror and 11 whites to decide the trial of the men who chased and killed Ahmaud Arbery, despite prosecutors' objections that several Black potential jurors were cut because of their race. Superior Court Judge Timothy Walmsley acknowledged that "intentional discrimination" by attorneys for the three white defendants charged in the death of the Black man appeared to have shaped jury selection. But he said Georgia law limited his authority... ...prosecutor Linda Dunikoski noted only a single Black juror made the panel.......defense lawyers had struck eight Black potential jurors...
