With all of the issues going on in the world you can always count on PETA to tackle the biggest problems. They're at it again, this time incensed over the simple baseball term 'bullpen.' Apparently the cows have been up in arms about where relievers warm up before entering games and it's time to hear their voice. Cows. The Cows are upset. Long as it been discussed how insensitive baseball is towards cows and enough is enough.

"The Five" panel ripped President Joe Biden and the Democrats Thursday for pushing an agenda that no Americans want and warned of the political fallout of the mounting failures under the administration. The panel discussed Democratic infighting between moderates and progressives that was halting the infrastructure bill from moving forward. Most Americans, Jesse Watters said, would not be positively affected by the provisions in the trillion-dollar "monster" bill. He said the bill "does nothing" for the border, inflation, the supply chain, and job growth. The effect of that, Watters continued, is that Democrats are going to "own" their failures, i.e....

He and his hunting partner killed the attacking bear, but only after the bear tore his thumb from his left hand. Dickson said he almost always sees grizzlies when he hunts along the North Fork of the Shoshone River — just not that close. He and his hunting partner, a man named John, were even scanning for bears while hunting elk — just in case. . On the day of the surgery, the couple was told there was an equal chance of losing the thumb or keeping it. “He said, ‘Don’t get attached to it, but it could stay,’” When...

A cheap antidepressant reduced the need for hospitalization among high-risk adults with COVID-19 in a study hunting for existing drugs that could be repurposed to treat coronavirus. Researchers tested the pill used for depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder because it was known to reduce inflammation and looked promising in smaller studies. They've shared the results with the U.S. National Institutes of Health, which publishes treatment guidelines, and they hope for a World Health Organization recommendation. The pill, called fluvoxamine, would cost $4 for a course of COVID-19 treatment. By comparison, antibody IV treatments cost about $2,000 and Merck's experimental antiviral pill...

A parolee was arrested Wednesday, nearly eight months after shooting a man who tried to intervene during a dispute with a woman in Costa Mesa, officials said. Officers located the 30-year-old victim, who was being treated for a gunshot wound to the neck at a nearby hospital. An investigation revealed the victim heard a...

Thursday on CNN’s “New Day,” Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) sounded off on the ongoing negotiations for President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better spending agenda. Dingell said Democrats plan to meet with Biden, and “nobody knows” what’s in the bill. She added that she’s “not even sure” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) knows what has been included. “Paid family leave, congresswoman, gone from the bill?” asked host Brianna Keilar. “I think one of the challenges is this morning when the president is expected to come to our Democratic caucus at 9:00 is nobody knows. And I’m not even sure the speaker...

Congresswoman Liz Cheney isn’t happy that Fox News host Tucker Carlson is putting out a documentary that reveals the truth about the false flag operation that occurred at the Capitol Building on January 6. She is so furious that she’s appealing to her fellow Establishment hacks in Fox News upper management to silence him. Carlson released a teaser for his upcoming documentary, Patriot Purge, that is set to reveal what really took place on what all Democrats and RINOs like Cheney have called an “insurrection.” Evidence has been pouring in for months that the entire thing was a Deep State...

Health Freedom Alabama was officially organized in late August, but already it's accepting nominations for the dubious "Tar and Feather Award" it plans to give out to lawmakers who "seek to destroy liberty and freedom." Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey is a leading candidate. The governor's executive order issued Monday on vaccine mandates has roiled conservative members of her Republican Party's base, who are charged up over what they see as an overreach of federal authority with vaccine mandates. Those critics claim the order lacked teeth and does not go far enough in fighting President Joe Biden's sweeping mandates that are...

Days ahead of the opening of the 26th U.N. Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Scotland, a group of faith institutions joined the growing movement to divest from fossil fuels. The group includes 72 institutions — 36 of them Catholic — with assets of more than $4.2 billion. Salesian Father Joshtrom Kureethadam, coordinator of Ecology and Creation at the Vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, welcomed the announcement during an Oct. 26 video conference organized by leading divestment proponents. The Vatican and Pope Francis have become increasingly vocal about shifting investment funds from fossil fuels toward clean energy alternatives. In...

South African cricketer Quinton de Kock dropped out of a World Cup game after the team was ordered to take the knee for Black Lives Matter (BLM), but has since felt obliged to issue a humiliating public recantation of his actions. Quinton de Kock, who is white, chose to withdrawn from a game against the West Indies after his sport’s national governing body, Cricket South Africa, ordered players to “take a knee” before all of its scheduled matches. De Kock felt the need to reverse his stance entirely on Thursday, however, in an abject public statement reported by Sky News....

WASHINGTON (CNS) — As is evidenced by the quantity of Netflix/Hallmark/Lifetime movies on the subject, Americans are somewhat obsessed with royalty. Case in point is the popularity of Eduard Habsburg-Lothringen, Archduke Eduard of Austria, who since 2015 has served as Hungary’s ambassador to the Vatican and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. At last count, the archduke has 41,700 followers on Twitter — the majority of whom are Americans. Habsburg-Lothringen was in Washington on Oct. 21 to attend a Mass on the feast day of his relative Blessed Karl of Austria at St. Mary Mother of God Church. He presented...

(CNN) Roughly nine months into his presidency, Joe Biden is on the verge of writing his name into the history books -- and not in a good way. The latest polling from Gallup pegs the President's approval at just 42%, the lowest of his term to date and the second lowest of any president Gallup has measured at this moment in their presidency over the last almost five decades. Here's a look at Biden's approval in comparison to his predecessors in Gallup polling (all of this data comes courtesy of the terrific Gallup Presidential Approval Center): * Biden 42% (272...

Pope Francis on Monday issued a letter granting sweeping powers to a special delegate to the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, authorizing the cardinal to enact historic reforms in the ancient religious and charitable order. In an Oct. 25 letter, Francis authorized Cardinal Silvano Tomasi to untangle a complicated leadership struggle within the Knights of Malta, which is both a religious order and an international aid organization, with sovereign status in international law. The order has been in a state of constitutional crisis since the forced 2017 abdication of their former Grand Master and the death of his successor in...

The World Health Organization (WHO) and other aid groups on Thursday appealed to leaders of the world’s 20 biggest economies to fund a $23.4 billion plan to bring COVID-19 vaccines, tests and drugs to poorer countries in the next 12 months. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the Group of 20, whose leaders are meeting in Rome at the weekend, had the political and financial power needed to end the pandemic by funding the plan, which he said could save five million lives. “The request is for $23.4 billion. That’s a fair amount of money, but if you compare with...

HOUSTON -- The NAACP sent a letter to the players' associations in five professional sports Thursday asking players to reconsider signing with teams in Texas because of recent laws passed in the state.
