French-speaking schools in the Canadian province of Ontario removed almost 5,000 books and burned some of them in a “flame purification ceremony” to appease the local indigenous population, Radio Canada and the National Post reported. A video prepared for students of some of the 30 schools on the subject said, “We bury the ashes of racism, discrimination and stereotypes in the hope that we will grow up in an inclusive country where all can live in prosperity and security.” Lyne Cosette, a spokeswoman for the publicly funded francophone Catholic schools of Ontario, told the National Post newspaper, “Symbolically, some books...

Almost 70% of Americans are pessimistic about the current state of the country amid increasing worry over the COVID-19 pandemic, rising crime and the economy, according to a new poll. About 69 percent of Americans say things are currently going badly in the US, according to a CNN poll released Friday. That number is up from the 60 percent who reported feeling the same way back when the outlet conducted an earlier poll in March. Views regarding the state of the economy has also worsened with 62 percent of Americans believing it is in poor shape, compared to 54 percent...

The University of North Carolina is offering a class called "Global Whiteness," which involves student presentations on Trump and interracial hookups on campus. Campus Reform obtained the fall 2021 syllabus, covers the concept of race since the 19th century, but also contains what appears to be revisionist narratives of American history, specifically World War II. Specifically, the syllabus appears to place blame for the Pacific Theater on America and the West. The course overview describes World War II in the Pacific as "the first global attack on white Anglo-American hegemony" and "Japan's attempt to roll back Euro-American colonialism."

VANCOUVER, Wash. — A Vancouver man will serve the maximum sentence of 20 years in prison for the murder of Nikki Kuhnhausen. Kuhnhausen, who is transgender, disappeared in June 2019. Her remains were found nearly six months later on Larch Mountain in a remote part of Northeast Clark County. Six months later, police arrested David Bogdanov in connection with her death. Bogdanov claimed he killed Kuhnhausen in self-defense after a sexual encounter where he found out she was transgender, and said that she attacked him. Prosecutors disputed Bogdanov's statements about how he killed Kuhnhausen and hid her body, saying the...

About six months ago, I wrote an article here explaining that state preemptions of local government are a bad thing—even when Ron DeSantis does it. I vehemently stand by these principles. However, it is now time for Ron DeSantis to take that principle of decentralized control and run with it—against the Biden administration. Just as it is acceptable to see local governments passing laws in defiance of their state, it is now time for the states to pass laws in defiance of the federal government. This is because on September 9, 2021, President Joe Biden announced that all employers with...

Research conducted by the University of California has found that teenage boys are six times more likely to suffer from heart problems caused by the COVID-19 vaccine than to be hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 itself. Wow. “A team led by Dr Tracy Hoeg at the University of California investigated the rate of cardiac myocarditis – heart inflammation – and chest pain in children aged 12-17 following their second dose of the vaccine,” reports the Telegraph. “They then compared this with the likelihood of children needing hospital treatment owing to Covid-19, at times of low, moderate and high rates...

Republicans angling for potential 2024 presidential runs are at risk of colliding with former President Donald Trump. For months, Trump has floated the idea of a 2024 rematch against President Biden. But in recent weeks, he has begun to signal that he may be more likely to run again than not, intensifying a collective headache for other would-be White House contenders who have already started laying the groundwork for their own campaigns. There’s little appetite within the GOP to challenge Trump for the 2024 presidential nod. He’s still the most influential Republican in the country, and running against him in...

"Strikingly, during this four-week period the vaccine effectiveness is negative in all the over-40s age bands except the over-80s – the vaccines seemed to make things worse, with the vaccinated having disproportionately more infections than the unvaccinated. For 60-69 year-olds it hits as low as minus-38%. This makes a nonsense of vaccine passports or any measure based on the notion that vaccines prevent infection."

Bring back Robert Mueller from deep storage to do ....what? Have him investigate collusion again but this time between Republican state legislatures and the United States Supreme Court conspiring to oppose abortion? That was the crazed fever dream of MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace on Tuesday's Deadline: White House as she addressed the "elephant in the room," apologizing for her past work for Republicans.

We are living in an era of unprecedented pressure for ideological conformity within institutions of higher education. Idaho’s Legislature has led the way toward reforming public universities through budgetary controls. Lawmakers were awakened to the need for reform by in-depth reports, which led to the House calling for a $4 million budget reduction at the universities. Red states are following suit and trying to resist the ideological pressure in higher education, but they face a unique challenge. They have to combat the establishment right’s reassurance that deceptive rhetoric is not only harmless, but that the state’s education system is immune...

The left hates America and ordinary Americans at least as much as the 9/11 hijackers did, and for some of the same reasons.I was in college when the planes hit the towers, studying that Tuesday morning before class in the student union. The woman who ran the student snack bar and I were the only people there that morning, and together we watched the second plane hit on live TV. At that moment, my stomach dropped. After the first plane hit, no one really knew what was going on, whether a small aircraft had accidentally crashed into the tower or...

As the U.S. sees upwards of 160,000 new COVID-19 cases per day, Dr Anthony Fauci says the country is far from in control of the pandemic 'The endgame is to suppress the virus,' Fauci told Axios, but the country is still in 'pandemic mode' with the current high case level Pandemic hotspots such as South Carolina, West Virginia, and Idaho exemplify the country's lack of control over this Covid surge To reach the end of the pandemic - under 10,000 new cases per day - the US needs to vaccinate more people, Fauci said

Public Health England (PHE) published their latest weekly vaccine surveillance report on Thursday. Usually these just summarise other studies so are not particularly interesting, but this week something new appeared that has been widely asked for but elusive: data on cases, hospitalisations and deaths broken down by age and vaccination status. Although the fortnightly technical briefings on the variants of concern have a breakdown of sequenced Delta cases broken down by vaccination status and into the over-50s and under-50s, this is the first time PHE has published general data on all cases (not just sequenced ones) split up by age...

A source has told Sputnik that the inauguration of the new Afghan government is scheduled for Saturday, the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. The majority of foreign countries have said they don't intend to recognise the Taliban* government so far. The Taliban* has already named the key ministers in Afghanistan’s new cabinet after a rapid takeover of the country, but Suhail Shaheen, a spokesman for the group, has told the Global Times that other Afghan politicians, who are not part of the movement, might have the chance to take high-ranking jobs in the new government. According to Shaheen,...

The Big 12 extended membership invitations Friday to BYU, UCF, Cincinnati and Houston to join the Power Five league that will be losing Oklahoma and Texas to the Southeastern Conference. The eight continuing members of the Big 12 unanimously approved the applications of the four schools. The moves come six weeks after the SEC invited Texas and Oklahoma to join its league in time for the 2025-26 season, though there remains the possibility that could happen sooner. For now though, the Big 12 appears focused on the additions.

Ronald Klain, the White House chief of staff, faced criticism on social media Thursday after he retweeted a post that seemed to praise the Biden administration for pulling off the "ultimate work-around" for a national COVID-19 vaccine requirement. President Biden announced proposed rules that would force private-sector employers with more than 100 workers to either require them to be fully vaccinated or mandate that they undergo weekly tests. Biden referred to the mandate as a "new action plan." The rules would be enforced by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Businesses that do not comply would face fines up...

Roman Catholic Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò describes the globalist “Great Reset,” devised by Davos billionaires and powerful politicians, as the work of Satan and “Luciferian Globalists.” Protestant American believers warn that “America is writhing in the grip of a full-scale Marxist political and cultural revolution.” Some conclude that the two movements are deeply related. As responsible citizens, Christians must certainly consider what role the church should play in seeking to hold back the progress of godless political power in their own nation. It may seem unduly sensationalist to describe progressive current politics as Marxist, but wisdom dictates that we think...
