I conclude the vaccine doesn’t prevent you from getting sick — in fact, it increases your chance of getting sick if you are in the Age 40-79 bracket.
BUT, it sure is remarkably helpful to prevent you from going to the hospital and dying. And that is across ALL age brackets.

You make the common mistake of equating “cases” with sickness. They are frequently NOT THE SAME.
C'mon man! Malpractice only kills 250,000 people per year.
I don't follow statistics because by their very nature they are damned. As the case with their brethren the polls, statistics are where the truth is sent in order to be crucified.
Now as a student of history I've noticed patterns. Here's one:

Much as I don’t like the notavax, the numbers seem to show that it is effective at reducing hospitalization and death. Those are the two important numbers.
The headline is misleading; it looks at the least important stat. There is no ‘herd immunity’ for this. Everyone is eventually going to get it.
Still not taking the notavax, though.

Agreed. This “case” measurement is just nuts. Hospitalizations, ICU admissions, and deaths are what really matter.
