During his eight long and painful years as president of the U.S., Barack 0bama uttered a bewildering array of mind-numbing statements. Nine years ago, on July 13, 2012, in Roanoke, Virginia he offered a humdinger. He said: "Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business, you didn't build that." The GOP rightfully leaped on his last sentence and attacked Obama’s views on business and industry. Democrats quickly responded that Obama’s words were intentionally taken out of context, claiming that the word...

A Franklin County judge confirmed that he’s mandating COVID-19 vaccinations as conditions of probation in his courtroom. Common Pleas Judge Richard Frye said last week he added the vaccine as a condition on three cases in the week of the roughly 20 sentences he imposed. He said he discussed the matter in open court with the defendants, and they attributed their unvaccinated status to procrastination. None raised any philosophical, medical or religious objection. “It occurred to me that at least some of these folks need to be encouraged not to procrastinate,” Frye said in an interview. “I think it’s a...

Leftist citizens of the world are uncomfortable at the sight of unabashed and self-confident patriots celebrating the founding of a nation dedicated to undeniable truths. Tough. Let the micro-aggressions roll as we stand athwart the progressive junking of all that is good and decent. On our nation’s 150th anniversary in 1926, Republican president Calvin Coolidge gave a speech in which he responded to the progressive wave that was muddying the minds of the nation. Only thirteen years after the passage of the destructive 16th and 17th Amendments, Coolidge deftly reminded Americans not to discard principles that had served the nation...

Thanks for joining our study as we celebrate Independence Day with Bible verses referencing liberty and freedom. Those were the foundational principles upon which our nation was birthed, compelling the Founding Fathers to declare independence from what was then the world’s leading military power. The Founders wrote that such a declaration required “firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence,” and were motivated by a bold, revolutionary idea. Whereas traditionally, human rights emanated from kings, in the new nation, rights were derived from God. Thus, the phrase “endowed by their Creator” is famously part of the Declaration of Independence: “We...

VIDEOSince the combination of guajillo marinade and achiote marinade worked so well for smoked chicken leg quarters, I decided to try the same thing for an entire turkey for the July 4 weekend. This was a trial run for Thanksgiving so if it works, I will be serving up smoked Red Turkey for Thanksgiving this year. The recipe is below. In the video I cooked it a bit too long so it is best to cook it breast side down for an hour and then breast side up for another hour and a half. At that point check the temperature with...

According to the police, authorities first noticed the group refilling their vehicles with gas on the side of the highway early Saturday morning. The men, in military gear, initially refused to put down their weapons or provide identification, and some fled into the woods. ***** According to the Rise of the Moors' website, the Daily Beast reports, the group is dedicated to "educating new Moors and influencing our Elders." There's more: The Southern Poverty Law Center says that several organizations and lone people have identified with the Moorish sovereign citizen movement in the U.S. since the 1990s. The movement is...

Dear friends, I have begun asking myself about these numerous fast money schemes recently such as Bitc0in and all these new crypot0currencies. One invests some money and in a short time one more than doubles ones money. Where does this money come from? Many of us remember that before the Great Depression of 1929, before the economic crash, there was a similar phenomena of investing money and then gaining great amounts of money in a relatively short amount of time. The millionaires before the well planned Great Depression became afterwards billionaires. The orchestrated Great Depression was a sly hidden way...

A woman in Missouri was afraid of the effects from COVID-19 vaccines and chose not to get the shots, but later contracted the Delta variant of the novel coronavirus and died in the hospital. Deborah Carmichael, the mother of now-deceased 45-year-old Tricia Jones, is speaking out and urging those hesitant about the vaccine to get the jab after losing her daughter in June. She spoke to Kansas City's news channel Fox 4 WDAF-TV about her daughter's death and vaccine hesitancy in an interview broadcast this week. "She was afraid of the side effects, I think. You hear a lot of...

This is stupidity. This is insanity. This is suicide. American companies and institutions are purposely destroying themselves. They're ripping apart billion-dollar brands that have taken decades of hard work to build. And they're doing it in a matter of days. They're marching off cliffs like sheep. Keep in mind sheep are idiots. They have no brainpower. They can't think for themselves. If one sheep walks off a cliff, they'll all happily follow. Did you ever imagine CEOs of billion-dollar companies could be as dumb as sheep? Who committed suicide this week? Some of the biggest brand names in America ......

The U.S. government's recent unidentified flying objects report is unprecedented. It acknowledges, for the first time, that some UFOs (or what the U.S. government refers to as "Unidentified Aerial Phenomena") appear to be real, ultra-advanced craft of unknown origin. [snip] But that candor goes only so far. The report completely ignores the elephant in the room: Hundreds of reports from military veterans, most of whom I have interviewed myself, involve UFO activity at nuclear weapons sites, including the mysterious disabling of our intercontinental ballistic missiles. The UFO-nukes connection is clearly an important, if not the most important, aspect of UFO...

As I note in The Miracle and Magnificence of America, between the colonial and Revolutionary periods of American history came what historians have dubbed the (first) "Great Awakening." The lack of passionate Christianity, along with the coinciding adoption of certain liberal interpretations of Scripture and a turn toward the secular, greatly concerned ministers such as Jonathan Edwards, Thomas Prince, and William Cooper. By the 1730s, passionate and animated pleas for the souls of the lost became widespread. The earliest principal figure of this period of spiritual revival was the brilliant and pious Puritan minister Jonathan Edwards. Edwards succeeded his grandfather...

Imagine if these people were White! It would be the top story all weekend, and you know it. But they are Black, so only in the 22nd paragraph of this New York Times article does the word “Black” appear. (source) First paragraph: Eleven men were taken into custody on Saturday after a lengthy roadside standoff between police officers in Massachusetts and a group of heavily armed men in tactical gear who claimed to be part of a group called Rise of the Moors. Twenty-second paragraph: “We do not intend to be hostile, we do not intend to be aggressive,” he...

Raucous England fans are in dreamland waiting for Wednesday's next Three Lions clash against Denmark, buoyed by the team's flawless performance last night in the Euro 2020 quarter-final. The Danes are all that stands between them and the tournament's final and an incredible boost for a country that has been ravaged by coronavirus and endless lockdowns. Beers were sent flying through the air and one fan even stripped off to his St George's Cross underwear as revellers went wild at big screen events from London to Newcastle watching the Three Lions destroy Ukraine 4-0 and secure a glorious return to...

Classically-educated colonial Americans learned to be wary of monarchy from the Iliad and the Odyssey. It is very likely that, in July 1776, many Americans heard sermons based on the text of Psalm 143:6 -- “Put not your trust in princes….” One suspects that ministers used words even more harsh than those in the Declaration of Independence, where “the present King of Great Britain” was assailed for “repeated injuries and usurpations, all having their direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States.” George III had been much admired by colonials. They had erected an equestrian statue to...

Our armed forces are being led by people not tethered to reality. In testimony before Congress recently, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff defended Critical Race Theory. He said he wants to understand white rage. He thinks he is a well read critical thinker. If General Milley genuinely wants to understand himself better, I recommend White Guilt by Shelby Steele. Critical Race Theory, diversity ideology, radical feminism, and other woke nonsense are devastating military lethality and readiness. Even though the beginnings of this trend go back decades, the denial of the differences between the sexes, and the more...

Whether your vacation is in your backyard, on a sandy beach, or camping in a majestic national park, the summer read is as essential a part of your getaway as your sunscreen, fishing rod or road atlas. Americans crave tales of adventure, mystery, love and tragedy as a summer rite of passage. The more noble prefer to dive into highbrow literature, but many are looking for that page-turner escapist novel that twists the emotions but ultimately lands the reader safely with an ending that delivers redemption. This is one of the few touchstones left in our culture in which you...

America is not about an idea. America is about an enduring truth. Recently, during a naturalization ceremony, Joe Biden stated a very troubling idea. He said that America is founded on an idea -- an idea, moreover, that we've invariably failed to live up to). As is so often the case with Biden, he's wrong. America is not about “an idea.” America is about an enduring truth. This truth is the basis of our Rule of Law, and our Rule of Law, in turn, is the foundation of our social order. Biden made it clear that he was talking about...

Two hundred and forty-five years ago, the brave Founders of this nation declared their independence from the rule of George III, the monarch of Great Britain. In so doing they declared -- and put at risk -- their lives, liberty, and fortunes -- to stand for freedom and self-determination. Looking at the week’s news it’s easy to see why many of us feel the liberty they fought for and enshrined in the Constitution that followed is slipping away at the hands of vocal minorities who have captured the media, Big Tech, the education establishment, the federal executive branch, and even...

The insistence on blocking out alternative political and scientific views instead of letting them out in the open to be debated and tested, is killing us and our hard-won liberty this year. In so doing they declared -- and put at risk -- their lives, liberty, and fortunes -- to stand for freedom and self-determination.
