Facebook created the Oversight Board to help solve its most difficult content moderation decisions. But though the body is often referred to as “Facebook’s Supreme Court,” Facebook executives have suggested that some of their peers could one day benefit from the board’s services, too. In a 2019 letter outlining “Facebook’s commitment to the Oversight Board,” Mark Zuckerberg hinted that the board’s purview could one day extend beyond just Facebook. “We expect the board will only hear a small number of cases at first, but over time we hope it will expand its scope and potentially include more companies across the...

The Black Lives Matter movement and Critical Race Theory are powerful, seductive, and glamorous. They generate abundant capital, financial and social. As Americans secularize, walking away from organized religion, race ideology provides a ritualized seal of spiritual superiority. This new religion promises a cleansing purge. America will be razed to the ground, literally or culturally. Cities will burn; statues will topple. Language itself will swallow old, bad words and speak only the righteous lexicon. This shining new vocabulary will not be selected by the messy process of raucous human tongues trying out what works best to speak the heart,...

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – According to reports, a U.S. District Judge has sentenced the last of four men who pleaded guilty to torching the Minneapolis Police Department’s Third Precinct during summer 2020. In court on Monday morning, June 7th, Judge Patrick Schiltz sentenced 27-year-old Bryce Michael Williams to two years and three months in federal prison and ordered him to help pay $12 million in restitution for the damage. Judge Schiltz described the defendant as a “good person who made a terrible mistake.” While the judge handed down a lighter sentence than prosecutors had requested under state guidelines, he denied Williams’...

China’s awful behavior - be it trade, human rights, virology, etc – is becoming so indefensible that even Principled Free Traders™ are suddenly rushing to condemn China. You’ll note that they are not suggesting that we do something that would really hurt China, such as cutting off imports of their goods or repatriating American jobs that were sent to China. No, not that. It is a high principle of “true conservatives” that denying American consumers the fruits of Uyghur slave labor is bad economic policy. And if Apple, Coca-Cola and Nike all agree that we mustn’t interfere with how China...

So I'm a named party in a lawsuit. It's against my former employer and myself. I was a sales manager for the company in the Atlanta metro area. I would hire sub contractors to perform services and the company would pay said sub contractors for their services. The sub contractors would sign an agreement with the company for their percentages minus the cost of Materials which is standard I. The construction industry. This company would often take advantage of the sub contractors who largely were illegals. I know of at least 4-6 subs that have been taken advantage of as...

“There are emails you can find where he [Dr. Anthony Fauci] acknowledged the virus has been aerosolized,” contends Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, professor of medicine at Stanford, co-author of the Great Barrington Declaration, and an opponent of lockdowns. The cloth masks Dr. Fauci recommended, “they’re not particularly effective against aerosolized viruses” and Fauci’s “credibility is entirely shot,” a rather kind assessment, given the record. At the outset of the pandemic, Dr. Fauci recommended no masks, then one mask, then two masks. He maintained that the COVID-19 virus could not have been engineered in a lab, then acknowledged the possibility of...

“An American-born man who’d pledged allegiance to ISIS gunned down 49 people early Sunday at a gay nightclub in Orlando, the deadliest mass shooting in the United States and the nation’s worst terror attack since 9/11, authorities said,” read the CNN report on the June 12, 2016 terrorist attack at the Pulse club. Shooter Omar Mateen, 29, called 911 during the attack to pledge allegiance to the Islamic State and also mentioned the Boston Marathon bombers. The FBI had interviewed Mateen in 2013 and 2014 but he “was not found to be a threat” and at the time of...

The Arizona Senate’s hand recount of 2.1 million ballots cast in the Maricopa County election in 2020 is expected to conclude by the end of this week, but auditors still have several other tasks to complete before they are finished. Contractors hired by the Republican-led Senate were previously expected to be finished counting ballots by hand by mid-May but extended the contract with the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, where the review is being conducted, to June 30 after audit overseers found it would take longer to complete the full recount. “The counting will be done by the end of...

The Biden administration late on Thursday restored a $929 million grant for California’s high-speed rail that then-President Donald Trump revoked in 2019. ===== Trump had pulled funding for a high-speed train project in the state hobbled by extensive delays and rising costs that he dubbed a “disaster.” Trump repeatedly clashed as president with California on a number of policy fronts, prompting the state to file more than 100 lawsuits against the Republican Trump administration.

My name is Keisha King. I’m a mom of two, one who’s in the Duvall County Public School System, and one in private school, thanks to school choice. I’m also a member of Moms for Liberty, representing thousands of parents. Just coming off of May 31st, marking the 100 years of the Tulsa riots, it is sad that we are even contemplating something like critical race theory, where children will be separated by their skin color and deemed permanently oppressors or oppressed in 2021. That is not teaching the truth, unless you believe that whites are better than blacks. I...

Byron Donalds is a House representative from Florida. He grew up in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn NY and was raised by a single mother. He graduated from FSU with a BS in finance and marketing. He appeared on CNN and had an exchange with host Brianna Keilar to discuss the report that he had been blocked from joining the Congressional Black Caucus. BTW, Donalds is a Trump supporter. Watch as the arrogant and smug Keilar tries to teach the black man about life: Rep. @ByronDonalds says he is being denied entry into the Congressional Black Caucus because he...

Loudoun County Public Schools in Virginia plans to appeal a judge’s order to reinstate physical education teacher Byron Tanner Cross, who was suspended days after telling the school board he would not refer to transgender students by their preferred pronouns because of his religious beliefs. In a statement, LCPS said it “respectfully disagrees with the Circuit Court’s decision to issue the injunction, and it is appealing this ruling to the Supreme Court of Virginia.” “Many students and parents at Leesburg Elementary have expressed fear, hurt and disappointment about coming to school,” the statement said. LCPS said while it “respects the...

China and Russia's combined military spending exceeds that of the United States when adjusted for purchasing power, which has allowed China to shorten capability gaps in its quest to become the top superpower by midcentury, the top U.S. military officer said Thursday. "Combined, the Russian and Chinese budgets exceed our budgets if all the cards are put on the table," Joint Chiefs Chairman General Mark Milley told the Senate Armed Services Committee. He called China's increased spending trend "disturbing." China and Russia are the U.S. military's two biggest competitors. Defense secretaries from Jim Mattis to Lloyd Austin have identified China...

Twelve Legions Went To The Rim. By JAG June 10,2021 "Do you think I cannot call on My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?" Raphael and Ariel heard it first and told the Archangel Uriel and it was Uriel that gave the order that called up the legions to The Rim, twelve in number. The Twelfth and Ninth Legions had been fighting continuously for days and their Commander Raziel stood on a hill and watched as his Warrior Angels again slaughtered thousands of Satan's finest who now lay dying on...

[Catholic Caucus] Francis Calls "Rigidity", "Ritualism" A PerversionFrancis warned a group of seminarians from Italy’s Marche region during a June 10 audience of “closure and rigidity” - although their problem is likely the opposite vice.“Rigidity is somewhat fashionable today" - he fancied while, in real life, the Francis Church is marked by laxness and debauchery. Jumping from one mantra to an other, Francis concluded that "rigidity" is a manifestations of "clericalism" and that it is "a perversion of the priesthood."Evidently, he was fighting his own shadow since "clericalism" is defined as a "policy of maintaining or increasing the power of...

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A federal judge has halted a loan forgiveness program for farmers of color in response to a lawsuit alleging the program discriminates against white farmers. U.S. District Judge William Griesbach in Milwaukee issued a temporary restraining order Thursday suspending the program for socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. The program pays up to 120% of direct or guaranteed farm loan balances for Black, American Indian, Hispanic, Asian American or Pacific Islander farmers. President Joe Biden’s administration created the loan forgiveness program as part of its COVID-19 pandemic relief plan.
