Our tongue-in-cheek references aside, Peter Daszak is turning out to be a nuclear-grade, evil dude. The Bond villain imagery of Dr. Julius No, Auric Goldfinger, or Elliot Carver is not doing him justice.Not. At. All.My colleague Scott Hounsell has done excellent work unmasking (pun fully intended) Daszak:There is one name, however, which keeps coming up related to the virus, tied to the funding, research, and now, the potential ongoing cover-up of gain-of-function research conducted at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. That name is Peter Daszak.Daszak is the President of EcoHealth Alliance, the organization which has funneled at least $600,000 to...

A significant part of the debate into the origins of COVID-19 has been about whether or not the virus came from a Chinese government-controlled lab formally known as the Wuhan Institute of Virology. For more than a year questions raised regarding those origins have been quashed by the media cult, pointing to studies and papers authored by the very people who would have every reason to cover it up. Now that a lab leak theory is looking more and more credible, with scientific evidence for it now surpassing that of a natural zoonotic spillover, those same ardent defenders sound less...

The revolutionary Windows update scheduled for late 2021.. While a future update of Windows 10 is still called 'Sun Valley', comments by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella suggest that Windows 11 may be more of a reality than some think. With Build 2021 now finished and only a smattering of hints towards the next release of Windows, users are curious as to whether we may see 'Sun Valley' appear sooner, with a fully-fledged Windows 11 arriving towards the end of this year. It looks like we'll find out very soon, with Microsoft holding a Windows event later this month. The picture...

Some of the folks on the left have been seething at Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), viewing them as the blockers to Democrats being able to eliminate the filibuster and seize total power. There’s no question that Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema have been standing strong to protect the rules and defend the rights of the minority party. But they’re not the only people, as some have pointed out, although they get most of the press. Democrats have a much deeper issue because some others are also not so happy with these efforts. But those Democrats are happy...

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday wished President Biden luck in his upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin — and also encouraged him to stay awake. “Good luck to Biden in dealing with President Putin—don’t fall asleep during the meeting, and please give him my warmest regards!” Trump said in an emailed statement. Trump nicknamed Biden “Sleepy Joe” during last year’s presidential campaign and repeatedly claimed he was in mental decline. His snarky well-wishes to Biden follow the president’s meeting Thursday with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The leaders showered each other with compliments and Biden even gave Johnson...

MINNEAPOLIS — The woman who was in the vehicle with the man fatally shot by members of a U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force earlier this month says she never saw a gun in the man's possession, nor did she ever see a gun inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting. On June 3, law enforcement shot and killed a man, later identified as Winston Smith, at a parking ramp in Uptown Minneapolis. According to a news release from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the task force members — who were deputies with Hennepin and Ramsey County sheriff's...

he reports coming out of the school systems of Portland, Ore., and its suburbs are simply terrifying. Children are being taught the narrative that America is fundamentally evil, and the rioters who continue to wreak havoc on that once-beautiful, quiet city are held up as heroes. As Christopher Rufo has reported, “The schools have self-consciously adopted the ‘pedagogy of the oppressed’ as their theoretical orientation, activated through a curriculum of critical race theory and enforced through the appointment of de facto political officers within individual schools.” And it is working. The schools have become, Rufo notes, “a school-to-radicalism pipeline.” But...

With the help of a local handyman, I was able to see my concept of how to reinforce the oak table to be able to hold my newt tank transition from the drawing board to reality. I incorporated some of the ideas some generous FReepers suggested, and it all came together. While he was drilling holes in the flat steel bars I'd purchased and cutting them to size, I had the actual terrarium tank on my dining table where I could repair some of the caulking on the bottom seam. Ta-da! Original oak legs on tank. New black steel legs....

The Group of Seven Summit begins Friday with the leaders of the U.S., Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Canada meeting in Great Britain through Sunday. One of those leaders, however, is not like the others. Which puts America at a disadvantage. If readers think we’re saying that President Joe Biden is not all there, then we plead guilty. Clearly he’s not. His flubs, stumbles (both verbal and physical), empty gaze, the where-am-I pauses when he speaks in public (even with the aid of a teleprompter he has trouble following), the mangling of sentences, and his inability to...

Much of the Western half of the US is in a severe drought, and parts of the Southwest are “exceptionally dry,” the worst category, according to US Drought Monitor. Taking this into account, the iconic Hoover Dam has just recorded the smallest amount of water inside Lake Mead since the 1930s. The damming of the Colorado River at the Nevada-Arizona border created Lake Mead and supplies water to 25 million people, including in the cities of Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson, Los Angeles, and San Diego. We’ve explained in the past if Lake Mead drops to dangerously low levels, the entire...

WASHINGTON (AP) — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other top Democrats called for an investigation on Thursday after The New York Times reported that the Justice Department under President Donald Trump seized the communications data of members of the House Intelligence Committee. “The news about the politicization of the Trump Administration Justice Department is harrowing,” Pelosi, D-Calif., said in a statement. “These actions appear to be yet another egregious assault on our democracy waged by the former president.” The Times reported Thursday that the DOJ subpoenaed Apple for data from at least two committee members, as well as aides and...

Few people know that new prescription drugs have a 1 in 5 chance of causing serious reactions after they have been approved. That is why expert physicians recommend not taking new drugs for at least five years unless patients have first tried better-established options, and have the need to do so. Few know that systematic reviews of hospital charts found that even properly prescribed drugs (aside from misprescribing, overdosing, or self-prescribing) cause about 1.9 million hospitalizations a year. Another 840,000 hospitalized patients are given drugs that cause serious adverse reactions for a total of 2.74 million serious adverse drug reactions....

Major corporations and the government are celebrating Pride Month with the LGBTQ people. Seems like Ii used to be called Gay Pride Month, but to avoid confusion after so many sexual orientations were added, they dropped the “Gay” part. So they are celebrating Pride. For me, I don’t really care what they do in their bedroom. I don’t want to know what gender they think they are today. All that is their personal preference. It’s between them and God, really. But I also don’t want them evangelizing their prideful declarations and confusions in elementary and high schools to minor children—my...

The enormous sinkhole in Puebla State, southeastern Mexico, has grown to 110 m (360 feet) in diameter as of Monday, June 7, 2021, prompting authorities to widen the security perimeter. The hole has already destroyed a nearby house's bedroom and part of a wall and is threatening to swallow the entire structure as continues to expand. The sinkhole appeared in Santa María Zacatepec, in the town of Juan C. Bonilla, and is confirmed to be 9 m (30 feet) deep. It measured 80 m (262 feet) in diameter on May 29 and has grown rapidly ever since. As of Monday,...

In a spate of recent interviews, former President Barack Obama repeatedly discusses UFOs. Obama claims that concrete proof of extraterrestrial life would not change any of his beliefs but would probably lead to the creation of “new religions.” What Obama is clearly not aware of is that the Bible already addresses the subject. OBAMA: EXTRATERRESTRIALS AND NEW RELIGIONS “It’s interesting. It wouldn’t change my politics at all,” Obama said in a podcast interview on the Ezra Klein show last Tuesday. “Because my entire politics is premised on the fact that we are these tiny organisms on this little speck floating...

You have heard of the word “remnant.” Some people are called “remnant believers.” There are “remnant churches.” Perhaps you know of some or attend one. I often say that I do “radio for the remnant.” The most frequent e-mail I get is from people who make up the “remnant.” But what is that? I write about this often and even do radio about it as I’m trying to understand the phenomenon. Here are a couple of e-mails. “Jan, I feel the remnant is getting smaller every day as the time approaches for the Lord’s return. The world seems to be...
