“How you can sit there, calmly eating muffins when we are in this horrible trouble, I can’t make out. You seem to me to be perfectly heartless.” – Oscar Wilde, The Importance of Being Earnest Might want to let up on those blueberry muffins a bit, GretchMichigan’s Governor Gretchen Whitmer has had her state in various levels of lockdown since March of 2020 that continue to this day – first by fiat and executive order, then via edicts from state agencies she controls. Investigators were preparing to seek an arrest warrant for a defrocked Roman Catholic priest long considered a suspect in the 1972 killing of a western Massachusetts altar boy shortly before his death last week, a prosecutor said Monday. Incriminating admissions Richard Lavigne made in a series of recent interviews while in a medical facility further implicated the longtime suspect in 13-year-old Danny Croteau's death, Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni told reporters. Gulluni said his office was prepared to prosecute Lavigne for Croteau's killing, but he died Friday at the age of 80 before he could be arrested.

Fox Business host Charles Payne completely tore into corporate America for virtue signaling on social justice issues like racism. Payne slammed the faux outrage coming from big businesses pandering to the left. “The bottom line is corporate virtue signaling is not only phony, but it is actually making the situation worse. So, my message to corporate America is just shut up, and do the right thing. That is, if you really give a damn,” Payne said during the May 20 edition of Making Money. Payne stated that he was leery of big businesses “opining openly on social issues, and more...

Military officers in Mali detained the president, prime minister and defence minister of the interim government on Monday, deepening political chaos just months after a military coup ousted the previous president, multiple sources told Reuters. President Bah Ndaw, Prime Minister Moctar Ouane and defence minister Souleymane Doucoure were all taken to a military base in Kati outside the capital Bamako, hours after two members of the military lost their positions in a government reshuffle, the diplomatic and government sources said. Their detentions followed the military ouster in August of President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita. The development could exacerbate instability in the...

Bought a 32" Samsung QLED smart Tv for the RV. Have a TP Link using as an access point. My TV and phone connect to my network flawlessly. I launch Screen Mirroring on my iPhone and the TV shows up as a device to connect to. I select that device (TV). The TV shows a passcode on the screen and I enter it into the phone. So all is good, right? The stupid smart TV then says... "Cannot connect to the Samsung Server"? Samsung says there is no workaround. The TV must be connected to the internet even though Apple...

There is a reason the transgender movement unleashed such immediate and intense pushback for even a mild attempt at highlighting instances of disappointment and regret with hormone therapy.CBS’s “60 Minutes” aired a segment Sunday night interviewing a number of individuals who, after undergoing hormone treatments and sex “reassignment” surgeries, decided to “detransition” back to their natural sex. Despite “60 Minutes” framing the story around transgender health-care access and critiquing a number of recent bills introduced at the state level to protect minors from experimental treatments, LGBTQ activists denounced CBS’s reporting as “ridiculous” “fearmongering.”CBS correspondent Lesley Stahl interviewed individuals who all...

Stephen Colbert announced on his show that it would return to the Ed Sullivan Theater next month. The audience will be fully vaccinated, he said, so that means at least one U.S. senator will not be welcome: Rand Paul. Colbert said that Paul had “Randsplained” his decision not to be vaccinated, citing his “natural immunity” after contracting Covid-19. “Senator Paul has been a bit of a skeptic of how bad Covid really is, which is probably why he got Covid,” Colbert said on Monday. Paul also said health officials needed to “prove that the vaccine is better than being infected”...

Ever post a Bible verse on social media? Under the law in Finland, this could land you in jail. A Finnish provision holds that if a person is found to have expressed an “opinion” or “another message” deemed to have “threatened, defamed, or insulted” they could face imprisonment for up to two years—potentially serious jail time for nothing more than a perceived insult. Lest this sound unfathomably dystopian, this law has been employed by Finland’s Prosecutor General to bring three criminal charges against long-time Finnish Member of Parliament, and former Minister of the Interior, Dr. Päivi Räsänen. Her alleged crime:...

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said she is in therapy as a result of the January 6 Capitol breach, or what she described as an “all-out, attempted coup that had a lot of us, especially Latino communities, in a very reactive mode.” Speaking to the radio show Latino USA, the far-left Democrat said U.S. lawmakers effectively “served in war” and explained she “took some time” after the event. She confided in fellow “Squad” member Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), who told her she needed to “recognize trauma.” Recalling the event, Ocasio-Cortez described how former Vice President Mike Pence was taken out of the chamber...

t is clear that America’s current rulers despise Americans—or at least Trump-supporting Americans—more than they do foreign entities responsible for the worst attack on American soil in history. The Biden administration is set to release three terrorists from the U.S.’s Guantanamo Bay detention facility. Saifullah Paracha, a former Al Qaeda bagman and terror plotter who met with Usama bin Laden in the fall of 2000, is one of the three to be released. Paracha also offered up his textile company for Al Qaeda’s use. He suggested that AL Qaeda might use his company’s containers to bring chemical agents like sarin...

WASHINGTON, Friday, May 24. As I telegraphed last night, the Zouaves were ordered to enter Alexandria this morning. In accordance with this order, the command was embarked on the steamers Baltimore and Mount Vernon. About 5 o'clock they reached Alexandria. Just before reaching the wharf the commander of the Pawnee sent a flag of truce to the rebel forces giving them one hour in which to withdraw from the town. The Baltimore and Mount Vernon then made fast to the wharf. As the steamers approached the rebel sentinels fired their guns in the air and retreated back upon the main...

The White House said Monday it would rely on the World Health Organization to investigate the origin of the coronavirus, arguing that an investigation led by the United States was not necessary. “[W]e’re hopeful that WHO can move into a more transparent, independent phase two investigation,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said during the daily press briefing. It is unclear why the White House would trust the World Health Organization to conduct the investigation after Psaki criticized the first phase of the investigation in March for lacking crucial data. The WHO stated in their March report that the lab...
