In an article from 2008, the New York Times reported an unusually interesting archeological discovery: The burial of 10 donkeys at a 3,000-year-old funerary complex south of Cairo."When you consider the fact that donkeys were revered in the ancient world, it isn’t really that surprising," notes Dr. Aren Maeir, director of excavations at Tel Tzafit, which many hold to be the Philistine city of Gath from the Bible. In fact, Maeir adds, the remains of donkeys brought to the land of Israel from Egypt were also found at the Tel Tzafit excavations. The beasts of burden can be as lovable as...

A new CIA recruitment video has been widely ridiculed online after the recruit described herself as an 'intersectional cisgender millennial'. But the clip has sparked a fierce reaction online with users labelling it 'woke'. Another said: 'The world is laughing at us.' Donald Trump Jr. tweeted: 'China and Russia will love this.' Former CIA officer Bryan Dean Wright, tweeted: 'The CIA used to be about...

The cave is located by a volcano that erupted almost 1,100 years ago...Archaeological work shows that after the lava cooled, the Vikings entered the cave and constructed a boat-shaped structure made out of rocks. Within this structure, the Vikings would have burned animal bones, including those of sheep, goat, cattle, horses and pigs, at high temperatures as a sacrifice...Near the structure, archaeologists discovered 63 beads, three of which came from Iraq, said Kevin Smith, deputy director and chief curator of the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology at Brown University, who leads the team excavating the cave. The team also found remains...

Donald Trump Jr. tweeted: 'China and Russia will love this.' Former CIA officer Bryan Dean Wright, tweeted: 'The CIA used to be about mission to country. (I speak from experience). 'Now it's now about demanding — and getting — accommodation to fix an emotional wound or advance a personal agenda. America is less safe with this new CIA, and dangerously more political.' Another Twitter user compared it to a Saturday Night Live skit. Glenn Greenwald, part of a team that won a Pulitzer for reports about government surveillance programs based on leaks by Edward Snowden, tweeted: 'Lots of people who...

Britain’s royal family is likely in its “end game” — and will probably not “outlast” Prince William’s eventual reign as king, according to an award-winning UK author and dame. “I think it’s the end game. I don’t know how much longer the institution will go on,” Dame Hilary Mantel told the Telegraph. “I’m not sure if it will outlast William. So I think it will be their last big era,” predicted the “Wolf Hall” author, who was awarded the Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in 2006 and then made a dame by Prince Charles in...

Broadcast and cable news ratings, along with website traffic, are all taking a hit in the post-Trump era. During President Biden's first 100 days in office, weekly full-day cable ratings for CNN and MSNBC have been trending down, according to statistics from ratings company Nielsen. On average, 1.3 million household viewers were watching MSNBC in the last week of January, shortly after Biden took office. For the week ending April 25, that number was 868,000. At CNN, those figures went from 1.2 million to 749,000. Even perennial ratings leader Fox News is seeing a decline, though a much smaller one...

The Department of Defense announced Friday that the Biden administration has canceled further construction of the wall on the southern border. The photo above shows a gap in the border wall system in McAllen, Texas left as it is because of Biden’s order in January. The funding that Trump moved from the military budget is being sent back to the Pentagon. Military construction projects will receive the money instead of the border wall. Bishop Schneider Makes an Attempt To Teach Francis Catholic ReligionIn Francis’ prayer to Abraham pronounced at his Iraq visit in March, there is "a lot of confusion," Bishop Athanasius Schneider told the Confraternity of Our Lady of Fatima on April 16 (video below),“Christians, Jews and Muslims are not the same children of Abraham,” he stresses. Jews are according to Schneider "biological descendants" of Abraham, and also some Arabs, “But the Christians, the Church, are the true children of Abraham by Faith.”Schneider repeats the truism that according to the Gospel only those are true children of Abraham who believe in Christ.Therefore,...

A leftover from the weekend via the New York Post. There’s nothing unusual about special interests lobbying the federal government to try to influence policy, of course. But there’s cause for squeamishness when (a) it’s the “scientific” branch of the government responsible for pandemic guidance that’s being pressured and (b) the special interest in question happens to be a hugely generous benefactor of the party in power. The Post has documented two changes to CDC guidance that were made at the behest of the American Federation of Teachers, but that’s only because there are actual documents — emails — to...

Old Forge is a small borough about 75 miles north of the Lehigh Valley. But while its downtown looks like a lot of other Main Street districts, Old Forge is more than just another small Pennsylvania town. It’s the pizza capital of the world. That’s a bold claim, of course. But Old Forge has a mom-and-pop pizza joint around every corner and a special way of doing their thing — one that residents of Northeast PA will tell you is the best you’ll ever have. In the interest of journalism, I needed to check this out for myself.

Joe Biden, when he assumed the presidency, canceled President Trump’s border wall work and various immigration-mitigation agreements with Mexico. He also messaged to a multitude of third-world countries that their residents would be treated generously in the U.S. Article by Bob Unruh from WND: So the surge of tens of thousands of illegal aliens demanding entry at America’s southern border is – President Trump’s fault. In an interview Friday, Biden said the ongoing problems at the U.S.-Mexico border can be blamed on President Trump. Biden said the Trump administration didn’t “cooperate” and “share critical information” and that’s the reason there...

We’ve all been there. Whether at a donut shop or grabbing a rental car there is a universal experience in which the system does not work and the transaction collapses. I went in to a donut place once and ordered a donut, a coffee and an orange juice. The staff was shouting at each other, the orange juice was “in the back” and for some reason the coffee wasn’t happening, wasn’t happening and then finally didn’t happen. I left with nothing. Over the last few days, watching the Biden administration I am getting donut shop flashbacks. Craig Melvin asked Biden...

Iran’s state-run TV network reports that Tehran had negotiated an agreement with the U.S. and Great Britain to release hostages in exchange for unfreezing billions of dollars in Iranian assets. “The Americans accepted to pay $7 billion and swap four Iranians who were active in bypassing sanctions for four American spies who have served part of their sentences,” state TV said. A state department spokesman, Ned Price, immediately shot down the report. “Reports that a prisoner swap deal has been reached are not true,” Price said. “As we have said, we always raise the cases of Americans detained or missing...
