Shanghai’s new regulations, which require visitors to register their personal information if they stay in the city for more than 24 hours, caused backlash on Chinese social media. One expert believes the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) will implement the same rules throughout China in the near future because it is confronted by four major crises that threaten its rule. On April 1, Shanghai began to enforce the newly revised “Shanghai Real Population Services and Management Regulations,” demanding visitors who stay in the financial hub for more than 24 hours to register or face a fine of up to 5,000 yuan...

To the casual observer, it may seem as though coronavirus lockdowns are now largely behind us. Even Democrat governors seem to have little appetite for new restrictions: in Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer is asking for voluntary compliance, while Gavin Newsom has made plans to largely reopen California by June 15. Red states are moving even faster. Governor Greg Abbott endedTexas’ capacity limit and mask mandate in March, while both he and Ron DeSantis of Florida have banned “vaccine passports.” Meanwhile, the Supreme Court overturned a California rule limiting at-home religious worship events. The NCAA Board of Governors issued a statement on Monday confirming explicitly that which it has only evidenced in the past by its decision-making — the NCAA will not schedule championship events in states that pass legislation ensuring that female athletes will be provided the opportunity to compete against other female athletes — not including “transgender” female athletes. When determining where championships are held, NCAA policy directs that only locations where hosts can commit to providing an environment that is safe, healthy and free of discrimination should be selected. In my former two articles about Florida Representative Matt Gaetz and “Gaetz-Gate,” I have been criticized by our good readers because I have not been on “Team Matt,” and because I did not consider his public efforts to defend himself against allegations of ethics violations and sex trafficking as the smartest of moves. However, not liking him, and calling out his public moves doesn’t mean that I believed he was guilty. The longer this affair drags on, the yawning lack of evidence becomes more evident. As many suspected, this is turning out to be another Democrat smear campaign. The latest CNN-sting videos from...
