Hunter Biden took his reputation rehabilitation-book tour to Jimmy Kimmel Live! , where he spoke about his crack addiction but was spared serious questions about his laptop scandal or how he secured lucrative foreign deals while his father was vice president of the US. Left-wing host Jimmy Kimmel avoided asking Hunter questions about the contents of his laptop or the murky foreign deals he allegedly made on behalf of the Biden family and his father. Instead, Kimmel lobbed mostly softball queries and gave the younger Biden a platform to talk about his triumph over crack addiction. “Yeah, it was a...

For many of us visions of the future have often included images of robots who can think on their own and perform tasks. In some visions, those robots were in a Jetson’s style universe with floating objects and robots who make our lives easier. For others, they envisioned a dystopianTerminator style landscape where robots are trying to kill us.While these scenarios make for great TV’s and movies – the reality is much more nuanced, but still very exciting. We are seeing firsthand that robotic and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are becoming a regular part of our lives and our economy...

One is in stable condition after getting shot in the face, and the other is in critical condition after being shot in the eye, the sheriff said.

Not that I would consider doing such a thing cavalierly. I would have to give this some serious thought first. Or I would need a stewardess to have an extra heavy hand with the complimentary on-flight beverages. (I'm sitting in First Class after all). How could I survive a free-fall from 33,000 feet (6.25 miles!)? Perhaps I could land in the world's biggest haystack. Or the world's largest mattress? Maybe the world's biggest trampoline in which I would bounce 2,000 feet in the air while doing a few dozen cartwheels? Now that would make for some good hits out on...

He claims the cops said they had received a call from Capitol Police that he had 'threatened' the New York congresswoman. They left him their card but took no further action. 'The officers said, "We got a warning about a sitting member of Congress. And it was because of your tweet, which tagged them in it." And then they just wouldn’t back down from this accusation that I threatened to kill her,' he told The Gray Zone. Wentz then posted on Twitter that he could only assume the tweet they were referring to was one where he called AOC's comments...

The melting rate of the Antarctic ice sheet is mainly controlled by the increase of ocean temperatures surrounding Antarctica. Using a new, higher-resolution climate model simulation, scientists from Utrecht University found a much slower ocean temperature increase compared to current simulations with a coarser resolution. Consequently, the projected sea-level rise in 100 years is about 25% lower than expected from the current simulations. The new high-resolution model takes into account ocean eddy processes. An eddy is a large (10-200 km) swirling and turbulent feature in the ocean circulation, which contributes to the transport of heat and salt. Adding ocean eddies...

President Joe Biden’s administration is instructing long-term facilities that hold immigrant children to lift capacity restrictions enacted during the coronavirus pandemic to open up much-needed beds in a system facing sharply increasing needs. In the meantime, migrant parents have said they have no idea where their children have gone after crossing the border into America, as some are about to be housed as far away as Michigan due to the overwhelming number of arrivals. Moms and dads already settled in the US are being forced to deal with the agonizing weeks-long wait to hear any news of their children’s whereabouts...

U.S. producers are facing sharply higher input costs as prices surge on everything from oil to transportation. The Labor Department’s producer-price index rose 1% in March from a month earlier, double the rate reported in February as well as double the rate of increase economists had anticipated for March. From a year earlier, wholesale prices jumped 4.2%. That’s versus a 2.8% rate in February and versus the 3.8% gain economists projected. Excluding the effects of food and energy, so-called core inflation rose a much higher-than-expected 0.7% month-over-month and 3.1% year-over-year. The figures follow a hotter-than-anticipated PPI report from China on...

President Biden’s offshore-wind scheme will be terrible for consumers. If those 30,000 megawatts of capacity get built — which, given the history of scuttled projects like Cape Wind, is far from a sure thing — that offshore juice will cost ratepayers billions of dollars more per year than if that same power were produced from onshore natural-gas plants or advanced nuclear reactors. Of course, offshore wind will create an armada of problems that go well beyond the price of power. As Rockefeller University environmental expert Jesse Ausubel told me recently, it will require “massive industrialization” of the oceans. Indeed, building...

Minutes after State Police officer Darian Jarrott pulled over Omar Cueva along Interstate 10 east of Deming, he noticed a firearm in the truck. “Do you mind if I take it off you, for my safety?” Jarrott asks through the passenger side window. The officer never got the chance. As the two men walk to the back of the truck, Cueva raises the rifle and shoots an unsuspecting Jarrott. The officer falls to the ground, reaching for his gun, and Cueva moves around the truck, shooting him several more times. Cueva puts the rifle to the back of Jarrott’s head...

When the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued an update to their conditional sail order last week, many thought it meant good news for the cruise industry. Upon closer look, the new protocols instituted by the CDC actually make life more difficult for cruise lines and put them further from their goal of sailing from American ports once again. Criticism came rolling in from all corners of the industry including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who previously threatened to sue the CDC if they wouldn’t let ships sail from Florida by July. Norwegian Cruise Line President & CEO Harry Sommer...

THE bodies of 12 beheaded expats have been found tied up under a mango tree in northern Mozambique after they tried to to flee an ISIS massacre. Dozens of innocent people, including children, were ruthlessly killed when terrorist militants went on the rampage in the key industrial town of Palma. Pedro da Silva, commander of the police station in the nearby village of Quitunda, said the bodies of the expats had since been buried in a mass grave, according to reports. "In total there were 12. They were all foreigners, I don’t know what nationality, but they were all white,"...

Social media censorship is escalating and ever more blatant. Unfettered knowledge is dangerous to the phony narratives that progressives wish to brainwash the public into accepting, and with social media, the blockade imposed by mainstream media potentially can be breached by people posting otherwise obscure media sources to their social media accounts. The latest prominent victim is Jason Whitlock, originally a sportswriter but now a social critic who brings insightful commentary on many issues, including race. (For the record, Whitlock is Black, a fact that seems to make a difference to most people on the left.)Yesterday, Jason Whitlock posted a...

Well it was pretty much a success helping one of my female co-workers move today. I mastered the art of ratchet tie-down straps and got the entire truck loaded up with furniture and such. I found pockets of space in which to insert odds and ends like boxes of Christmas decorations and rolls of toilet paper, etc. There were five of us loading the truck and I was sort of in charge due to my Tetris skills of finding the perfect space for everything. Does anybody remember the game of Tetris? None of us wore those confounded "masks" that are...

Everyone knows that life isn't fair. One of the best examples of this is tax season. For individuals, it is usually a time of paperwork, worry and paying what is owed. Most taxpayers work in one place and simply file taxes there. For big companies, it is also a time of paperwork and worry. Unlike most people though, companies often work in a number of places, can scramble to move money and profits overseas and look for tax breaks in the hope that they don't owe anything. In many cases, they get away with it. Loopholes have let many US...

Beth Moore is in the process of slowly, but quite steadily, sliding down the very slippery slope into full-blown Laodiceanism, not that she was ever all that solid to begin with. Over the years, Beth Moore has defended homosexuality, and claimed direct revelation from God with her ‘vision’ that all the denominations of the Church, including Roman Catholicism. In light of the success Pope Francis has had in launching the One World Religion of Chrislam, she might be onto something. “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or...

January 6 was not a case of “domestic terrorism.” There were no “armed extremists” executing a “lethal breach” of the Capitol Complex. Only one individual has been charged with illegally bringing a gun into the Capitol. The only shots fired at the Capitol on January 6th were fired by a Capitol policeman who shot unarmed civilian Ashli Babbitt through the neck. There was no planned assault. January 6 absolutely was an isolated event. The Capitol riot was the product of bad police crowd control rather than a concerted plan to attack anyone or anything. This dishonest and error-ridden letter isn’t...
