Having previously written about the collapse of American laws and their replacement with the personal opinions of government officials who pick and choose what laws to enforce and against whom, we are also seeing the collapse of our criminal justice system, which is being replaced by major media narratives and pop culture trends. The trial of Officer Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis is simply the latest example of the rush to prosecute a case based more on media narrative rather than thorough investigation or thoughtful charging decisions.

When my husband was assigned to Germany we could not accompany him at first. Our one year old daughter and I needed a passport and had to await command sponsorship. We were staying stateside with friends during the interim. As I was going through the passport and Army orders process there were several delays and we were missing husband and father. Eventually everything came together and after about four months apart, we were finally approved to travel to West Germany. Packing everything we owned and pushing a stroller, I carried our luggage and baby, and said goodbye to my homeland....

Several years ago I would make a practice about once every few weeks of ridiculing some New York Times article or other. More recently, as Pravda has increasingly abandoned any pretense of being a news organization in favor of pure political advocacy, I haven’t bothered. But every once in a while, it is worth looking at one of their pieces to get some insights into how the progressive brain works. For today’s lesson, I select the article that appeared at the top right on the front page of the print edition on Monday April 5. (Top right of the front...

This is long overdue, and worthy of support. Most CTH readers are now aware what the Lawfare group is all about. Inside the Lawfare network the far-left political ideologues organize and launch attacks against anything they view as adverse to their interests. The Lawfare network is made up of Obama ideologues and former DOJ officials who manipulate the legal system for their political agenda. Many, if not most, of the legal aspects connected to attacks against conservatives stem from inside this Lawfare network. They operate inside government and outside in the private sector and compliment each other in their unified...

https://campusreform.org/article?id=17070 (Houston – 4/8/21) Intrigued by a new math program called “A Pathway to Equitable Math Instruction” (Link above), being developed by the University of Oregon, an anonymous NASA official said they are looking forward to hiring graduates of this program for future engineering slots. In a statement released today, the official said: “We find this new program especially intriguing because in NASA's history, we've been focused on making sure our engineers are especially proficient in what we're coming to realize, is a white oriented, racist math focus, which requires the correct answer to complex problems while also requiring how...

This is not a vaccine – David Martin to Rocco Galati 1:42 00 mins approx earthheroestv video link below“Let’s make sure we are clear … This is not a vaccine. They are using the term “vaccine” to sneak this thing under public health exemptions. This is not a vaccine. This is mRNA packaged in a fat envelope that is delivered to a cell. It is a medical device designed to stimulate the human cell into becoming a pathogen creator. It is not a vaccine. Vaccines actually are a legally defined term under public health law; they are a legally defined...

CHILLING images are said to show nuclear cannon being sent to Russia's border with Ukraine as renewed conflict threatens to erupt into all-out war. At least six 2S4 Tyulpan self-propelled mortars - capable of firing warheads 12 miles - were filmed on a flatbed train in southwest Russia on Tuesday. They were filmed as the train paused at Kropotkin station in Krasnodar, near annexed Crimea and the rebel-held Donetsk region of Ukraine. The Tyulpan - codenamed M-1975 in the West - is an upgraded version of a Soviet-era self-propelled 240mm mortar. The large bore means it can fire a range...

Woodstock native Catalina Lauf announced in a video Tuesday evening that she plans to challenge U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger in the Republican primary to represent Illinois' 16th Congressional District after she said his criticism of former President Donald Trump brought division to the party. In a three-minute rebuke of Kinzinger's rhetoric and voting record, Lauf, a former member of the Trump administration who also ran for Congress last year in the 14th District, introduced herself as a small-business owner and a grass-roots politician sporting the slogan "America first." "I never thought I'd primary a fellow Republican, but is Adam Kinzinger...

A former University of Virginia medical student can proceed with a lawsuit against the school over his expulsion — which stemmed from questions he asked about the nuance of microaggressions during a panel discussion that led him to being branded a threat, a federal judge has ruled.

When I was a precocious sophomore in high school, I once barged into the office of the Capuchin priest who was in charge of our religion curriculum to inform him that I had serious intellectual reservations about the Catholic faith, and I found the answers being supplied in class unsatisfying. Father Mike Scully looked at me for a moment with what, looking back, I now recognize as a bemused smirk, and then wheeled his chair across his office and produced a thick book off his shelf: On Being a Christian by Hans Küng. “Go read this,” Scully told me, “then...

President Biden on Thursday announced a slew of new gun control measures after a recent pair of high-profile mass shootings, and insisted the Second Amendment doesn’t grant an absolute right to own guns. Biden presented the executive actions in the Rose Garden, joined by Attorney General Merrick Garland and Vice President Kamala Harris. “No amendment to the Constitution is absolute,” Biden maintained, pointing to the famous Supreme Court ruling that you can’t yell fire in a crowded theater as part of the First Amendment’s free speech clause.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on Holocaust Remembrance Day: Observing Holocaust Remembrance Day is special for Jews around the world, but it should also be recognized by those of us who are not Jewish. There are many things that we can learn from this monstrous event, among them being the seminal moral lessons that it bequeathed. At Nuremberg, the standard Nazi defense was to claim that they were only doing what they were instructed to do. It did not work. The London Charter of the International Military Tribunal determined that “following orders” did not exonerate them. Though the Tribunal...

A mass shooter who killed five people will not be a subject of a Great National Debate by the media, because he is of a race the media deems permitted to commit murder without judgment, and the people he killed were white, a race the media considers permissible to kill without comment. This cannot go on much longer. We cannot live in a society in which the Ruling Class deems it permissible to kill white people, so long as it's not they themselves, of course. "Phillip Adams, a former NFL cornerback who played six seasons in the league with six...

....This invites an important question: why are young people more afraid? One obvious answer is young adults might simply be unaware their risk of serious illness is low. As I recently noted, Americans in general are wildly misinformed about the risk of hospitalization from COVID-19, with roughly a third of Americans believing the chances of being hospitalized with the virus are 50 percent. (In actuality, it’s closer to one percent.) ...Studies have shown that US media essentially created a climate of fear by publishing a flood of negative news in 2020. Indeed, an Ivy League-led study concluded that 91 percent...

(CNN) The number of new Covid-19 cases has plateaued at a "disturbingly high level," and the US is at risk from a new surge, Dr. Anthony Fauci warned on Wednesday. While lower than the peak earlier this year, there were still more than 61,000 new cases reported on Wednesday, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. And the lack of continued significant decreases in infections is a concern, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases told CNN's Anderson Cooper, particularly given the spread of variants. "It's almost a race between getting people vaccinated and this surge...
