Democrat nominee Rita Hart, who took her case to the Democrat-controlled House in December, instead of the courts, after losing the election by 6 votes to her Republican opponent, Mariannette Miller-Meeks, released a statement on Twitter just minutes ago declaring that she was withdrawing her petition to the House Administration Committee because she couldn’t effectively combat the wave of negative PR she and her fellow Democrats brought on themselves over the issue: “After many conversations with people I trust about the future of this contest, I...

NBC News anchor Lester Holt received praise from liberal media figures after saying reporters don’t need to hear both sides of a story before determining the "truth." "I think it’s become clear that fairness is overrated ... the idea that we should always give two sides equal weight and merit does not reflect the world we find ourselves in," Holt said on Tuesday night while accepting an award at the 45th Murrow Symposium. But some of the same justices also seemed worried about opening the floodgates to further challenges.

Rep. Matt Gaetz possesses text message screenshots, an email, and a typed document that purportedly support his claims that a federal investigation into his relationship with a 17-year-old is related to an extortion scheme against him. On Tuesday, the New York Times reported that the Justice Department is investing whether Gaetz had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old and paid her to travel with him. Gaetz has called the report "totally false." Gaetz told Axios that his lawyers told him that he "was not a target but a subject of an investigation regarding sexual conduct with women." New York Times columnist Tom Friedman wants President Joe Biden to stimulate the economy into such a sugar high that former President Donald Trump’s GOP won’t regain control of Washington. Instead, he went on an anti-GOP rant and whined how he thought that “once Joe Biden took charge my anxiety over how close we came to losing our democracy would soon fade. It hasn’t.” He also spat racist insanity...

Detectives, however, did obtain a search warrant for the data recorder of the 2021 Genesis GV80 SUV, known as a black box. Villanueva would not say Wednesday what data had been found in the black box.

Knowledgeable Christians and Jews know that Easter falls at the Jewish holiday because Christ was in Jerusalem with the twelve Apostles to observe Passover, and that the Last Supper Christians observe in Holy Communion and celebrate on Maundy Thursday was a Seder meal commemorating the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt. After the meal, from which Judas Iscariot exited to collect his thirty silver coins, Jesus retired to the garden of Gethsemane, where he prayed until arrested by Roman soldiers. Until not so long ago, one television network or another played the classic film, The Ten Commandments, every year about...

After January’s explosive drama, the battle for digital control of American life is now proceeding quietly, by soft degrees. The shock of 1/6 has morphed into a pretext for something still more consequential: a new phase of national crisis wherein corporations with strategic control over Americans’ communications enforce a creeping line of censorship against critics of the sitting regime. While online platforms claim only to be applying their terms of service in neutral fashion, those terms themselves stink of delegitimization. Once this shadow falls upon you and your account, you are as good as deactivated. You know this; you know...
