Why are we surprised? What did you expect? Yes, our days get more bizarre almost every hour, but these are the predicted last days. Did you think they would be a piece of cake? A walk in the park? Just like a sunny day at the beach? Think again. Frankly, I think we’re in the calm before the storm! So here’s my new list of things I never thought I would live to see: I never thought I would see the day when… *Israeli media would say that folks in that country could not buy or sell without a vaccine....

[Note: This piece contains heavy video content.] More than 2/3rds of the GOP House caucus gets it. They understand that the Trump support base – which makes up 80-90% of the entire GOP base of support – is not ever going to accept this clearly fraudulent outcome. They understand that, if the Republican Party wants to survive intact over the coming 2-4 years, they had better raise their voices in objection to this un-American outcome at the very least. Meanwhile, in the Senate, just one Republican seems to understand what is happening here in the party’s voter base. Normally astute...

I was raised in the work-for-the-same-company-all-your-life-and-retire-with-a-gold-watch era. Today, however, we’re told we’ll have several careers over a lifetime; indeed, if you stay at the same job for more than a few years you’ll be viewed as dull and stagnant. I was ahead of the curve—for over 50 years I worked as a broadcaster, journalist, church pastor, primary and secondary school teacher, and a university professor. Perhaps only Sinatra did more, singing of being a “puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn, and a king.” Some jobs got more respect than others. Starting out in radio, a fellow disc...

Dead voters—or at least votes recorded in the name of someone who has died—have drawn much attention in the disputed outcome of the presidential election. Ballots apparently cast by dead registered voters make up one of many fraud allegations lodged by President Donald Trump’s campaign legal team either in court or in press conferences. As expected, former Vice President Joe Biden won the Electoral College vote Dec. 14 to choose the next president. However, the Trump campaign still disputes the outcome and Trump has not conceded the Nov. 3 election to Biden. Congress is scheduled to certify the Electoral College...

Joe and Jill Biden's 2020 sendoff took an awkward turn on Thursday night after the couple's confetti cannon failed to go off live on air. The president-elect and future first lady appeared on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on ABC where they delivered a final message to Americans ahead of midnight. Speaking to host Ryan Seacrest from their home, the couple congratulated essential and healthcare workers on their efforts during the pandemic and encouraged everyone to get vaccinated.

Pray For the Peace of JerusalemLambs, Sheep, and Shepherds.Amos 11 The words of Amos, one of the shepherds of Tekoa—the vision he saw concerning Israel two years before the earthquake, when Uzziah was king of Judah and Jeroboam son of Jehoash[a] was king of Israel. 2 He said: “The Lord roars from Zion and thunders from Jerusalem; the pastures of the shepherds dry up, and the top of Carmel withers.”New International Version (NIV)(End of Scripture Passage) The Prophet Amos actually was a Shepherd when he was called into the prophetic Ministry.New International Version (NIV) Holy Bible, New International Version®, NIV®...

Attorney General William Barr’s December 23 resignation caught many in the tech accountability movement by surprise. Barr was a driving force behind the Justice Department's landmark Google antitrust suit in October. His departure has understandably raised questions about the future of the department’s second antitrust investigation against Google and the general approach the Trump DoJ will take towards the company as it nears the end of its term. This concern from Big Tech’s critics is explicable. Given the tech-friendly staff that Joe Biden continues to appoint and float as cabinet picks, the president-elect doesn't appear to be a tech hawk...

In its most recent exercise of liberal democracy, the state senate of Massachusetts voted 32-8 to override Gov. Charlie Baker's veto of what is called the Roe Act. One day earlier, Monday, the state house had voted to override. The Roe Act is now law in the Bay State. And what does it say? Drafted and adopted to protect a woman's right to an abortion, should Roe vs. Wade be overturned by the Supreme Court, it guarantees 16-year-old girls the right to abort their unborn children, without their parents' consent, through the first 24 weeks of pregnancy. At 24 weeks,...

It’s just the flu, bro. Any politician advocating for government-enforced Covid restrictions needs to be voted out. This applies to the federal, state and municipal levels of government. This means primarying GOP politicians and voting Dems out in any election. Many GOP politicians are not intellectuals like we are here on Freerepublic. They either don’t understand the importance of liberty or they don’t want to accept it even though they were taught it. Regardless, they need to go. It’s easy to be a GOP candidate and pay lip service to conservative principles, but when the sh!t hits the fan, we...

“It didn’t even take four hours later where moving trucks with this stuff was backed up to those buildings trying to get rid of the evidence.” Earlier this week, inventor Jovan Pulitzer testified before the Georgia Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Elections. Among other things, he explained that he had the capability of testing half a million ballots in two hours to determine which were legitimate and which were fraudulent. After confirming that the results would be 100% accurate, the committee unanimously voted to have him check all the absentee ballots from Fulton County. The first thing that probably ran through...

But not for the reasons you may think. There’s been a lot written about the power Vice President Pence has to turn the stolen election around on January 6. Many commentators on various sites (including AT) have weighed in, some expressing hope, while other have expressed doubt Pence would do the right thing. But it appears all of this is moot, as Bill Jacobson, founder of Legal Insurrection writes: A claim has circulated widely in the past few days that Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, has the power and discretion to reject certifications. If Pence had...

As we bid a grateful adieu to one of the absolute worst years in modern history, trying to encapsulate 2020 in just one phrase may be difficult considering ALL the things that went tragically wrong. Was it the year of COVID-19, when basic civil liberties were sacrificed at the altar of potentially saving “just one life” from a virus with a 99.87% survival rate? Was it the year Black Lives Matter used a blatant lie to defund the police and take over America’s streets? Or maybe it was the year a presidential election was stolen right from under our noses....

I’ve been on vacation in Mexico for the past two weeks. But that isn’t the reason content from me has been scarcer than normal. Yes, vacations are supposed to be for recharging and taking a break from your routine. But as I sat down to write this morning the overwhelming sense of futility washed over me. And nothing saps your will to work more than reading through the headlines and noting the complete lack of conscience on display by the media, our political leadership or frankly anyone with half a brain. We live in a world today where the legislature...

Planned Parenthood, with the help of its media allies, has repeated the misleading statistic that abortion is “only” three percent of its “services” throughout the years. But now, the nation’s largest abortion provider is identifying as a “proud abortion provider” – and says that downplaying the number of its abortions actually “marginalizes” and “stigmatizes” abortion. On December 29, the Washington Post published an interview with Alexis McGill Johnson, the president, and chief executive of Planned Parenthood. During the discussion, McGill Johnson insisted that abortion is a “critical part” of health care and a “critically important part” of what her organization...

President Donald Trump on Thursday, after his return to Washington, released a statement on the progress of “Operation Warp Speed.” In a video posted on Twitter on New Year’s Eve, Trump made note of the accomplishments of his administration. He didn’t mention election fraud or his challenge to the outcome of the presidential race. The president touted the development of the CCP virus vaccine under “Operation Warp Speed,” Middle East peace efforts, building up the U.S. economy before and after the pandemic, and more. Trump started the video by saying: “In the face of great challenges this year, Americans showed...

The Poynter Institute is a Florida-based journalism organization that runs PolitiFact. On Poynter.org, a daily media report runs by Tom Jones, who sounds like Brian Stelter's identically thinking twin. Poynter says it supports "responsible news and fact-based information," but its incessant party line of liberal-media cheerleading and conservative-media loathing really came through when Jones made a list of the "best and worst of news media in 2020." Best national news: "ABC's David Muir, with his steady presence behind the desk, is leading what has become the best network evening newscast." But he loves CBS and NBC, too! "All, however, are...
