The Big Apple could shut down indoor dining next week if the coronavirus infection rate does not slow down, officials privately acknowledge. Under state rules, if New York City’s seven-day state testing average exceeds 3 percent for more than 10 days, it would hit Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s thresholds for imposing orange zone restrictions — which include shutting down indoor dining and a four-person limit on tables for outdoor dining.

Megyn Kelly on Wednesday revisited her infamous feud with President Trump, discussing whether she’d change anything about how she handled the situation that led to months of attacks from the then-Republican presidential nominee. “Not one word,” the former Fox News anchor told the Daily Caller in a new interview. “I 100 percent stand by the question and by my tweets the other day,” she added referring to tweets from earlier this month addressing the public spat.

America’s two largest Republican states — Texas and Florida — have announced that they will not be going into any more lockdowns as coronavirus cases surge across the country. The news comes as 45 out of 50 states have seen at least a 10% increase in coronavirus cases from the previous week. Texas Governor Greg Abbott “said in an interview that there won’t be ‘any more lockdowns’ in the state and he wants to focus on ‘working to heal those who have Covid’ so they can leave the hospitals and get back to their normal routines,” NBC News reported. “A...

Fox News’ new slogan seems to take aim at President Donald Trump, reports Business Insider. The motto, ''Standing Up For What’s Right,'' appears on an ad for Laura Ingraham’s show, ''The Ingraham Angle'' and on the network’s prime-time chyrons and promotions. The news outlet launched the slogan soon after Trump stepped up his feud with the network. The president has had a contentious relationship with Fox since it called Arizona for Democratic candidate Joe Biden on Nov. 3 and, later, the presidential election for the former vice president.

Everywhere one looks there are warning signs, from labels on cigarette packs warning that smoking causes cancer, to ridiculous labels on thermometers that read, "Once used rectally, the thermometer should not be used orally." Associate Justice Samuel Alito has delivered some serious warnings that too often are ignored by many who believe the freedoms we enjoy are inviolable. In an address last week to the Federalist Society National Lawyers Convention, Alito touched on several subjects, including COVID, religious liberty, the Second Amendment, free speech, and "bullying" of the Supreme Court by U.S. senators. Alito made a case for how each...

Fraud certainly occurred in this election. But President Trump knows that his quest to overturn the election is pretty much over. Rudy Giuliani is not going to be able to make the case that it was widespread enough to overturn the vote. That is the truth. No national news story that I have found highlighted the most important finding of all: extreme quarantine plus frequent testing and isolation among military recruits did nothing to stop the virus. The study is important because of the social structure of control here. It’s one thing to observe no effects from national lockdowns. There are countless variables here that could be invoked as cautionary notes: demographics, population density, preexisting immunities, degree of compliance, and so on. But with this Marine study, you have a near homogeneous group based on age, health, and densities of living. And even here, you see...

In July 2019, following the Mueller testimony debacle, the Left’s meltdown was palpable. For nearly three years, they had whipped themselves into a frenzy over the bogus notion of a Trump/Russia collusion, actually put in motion by Hillary Clinton and company. When Mueller’s team fired nothing but blanks, many on the left grasped for straws. "Obstruction!" they cried. That bogus claim, however, didn’t take hold. So, they moved on to phony impeachment proceedings, which even many Democrats knew was dead on arrival. (Mitt Romney to the rescue, to make the vote nonpartisan.) The Media Machine in MotionAt this moment, Leftist...

DES MOINES, Iowa – Miller-Meeks’ campaign accused Hart’s campaign of distorting the recount process underway in Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District. Scott County began the process on Tuesday, with Davis and Johnson counties starting on Wednesday. Former State Senator Rita Hart, D-Wheatland, requested a recount in the district’s 24 counties. She trails State Senator Mariannette Miller-Meeks, R-Ottumwa, by 47 votes. Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate said that counties would need to submit the amended election results by November 30, the deadline for the state’s certification of election results. The Hart campaign argues Iowa law allows for a delay in state...

Note: The author was SeaDream’s guest on its first restarted sailing out of the Caribbean. It’s going to be tough for cruise lines to resume sailings in North America anytime soon. That, in a nutshell, is the takeaway from last week’s COVID outbreak on the very first Caribbean cruise since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. That’s how I see it, at least, and I’ve been following the cruise world for a long time. As the incident on a small SeaDream Yacht Club vessel showed, no amount of pre-cruise COVID testing for passengers is guaranteed to keep the illness off...
