The editor-in-chief of the United Kingdom–based medical journal The Lancet, Richard Horton, continues to mislead the world, this time about the Communist Party of China's and the World Health Organization's responsibility for the worldwide spread of the Wuhan virus, AKA the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). I have written about their responsibility for AT here, here, and here. Several months ago, Horton misled the world about a drug being used to treat the virus. On June 5, 2020 The Lancet retracted an article that falsely maligned the use of the drug hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for the Wuhan virus. The article...

Fox News has drawn our attention to the fact that George Soros is bankrolling the leftist district attorneys who are fostering so much rioting in America's blue cities, based on their refusal to prosecute looters and rioters.  But probably not in the way the network meant to. Here's what went down over at the semi-cheesy news commentary show called Outnumbered, whose format is a group of leggy women sitting on a circular sofa with some man in the news and grilling him with chick-like excited shouts and exclamations.  It's now a Zoom thing without the leg business.  In this case, it led to a very...

The CDC has had more prominence this year than usual, thanks to the Wuhan virus. However, when America looked to it for help, it wasn't ready, whether with tests or useful advice. Its lack of preparedness might have been because the CDC's been expending its time and your money training its people in Critical Race Theory (CRT) rather than disease control. And while I'm currently agnostic about a vaccination's efficacy (I need a lot more information), I'm also suspicious when the CDC's director, Dr. Robert Redfield, announces that his surgical mask is what will save him and what will save...

A 1965 cartoon shows a Communist Party Chinese official proclaiming, "We will fight to the last Vietnamese any U.S. Attempt for a Negotiated Peace." Black Lives Matter has made it equally clear that it will fight to the last professional athlete, actor, and "ally" to achieve its proclaimed goals of "revolution," "change," and "transformation." The so-called leaders of this organization also remind me of General Mireau in the movie Paths of Glory, in which generals in comfortable chateaus far from the battlefield order enlisted men into frontal attacks to advance the generals' careers. These manipulators are all willing to use...

In 2018, the median income for white households was $65,777. This is substantially higher than the worldwide median household income, which in 2013 was listed as hovering around just $10,000. Ask a conservative and they’ll point to this as evidence of how great and privileged it is to be an American. As anyone else and they’ll point to white privilege and systemic advantages.  No doubt, a median income of $65,000 affords a lot of opportunities. Even after accounting for taxes that siphon approximately 25% away from the principal, an average mortgage payment of $1,100 in 2020 and average monthly...

Scranton. The Office. Democrat Matt Cartwright won the seat by 9 in a district Trump won by 10. Jim Bognet (Republican) seems like a 'perfect fit'. Local. Family background in coal Polaks and non-college educated whites. National Republicans did not invest in the seat last time around-2 times. This is an area where you see Selena Zito articles written. Will we followup on Trump's endorsement?

In scathing remarks criticizing his own staff, Attorney General William Barr said Wednesday that the Justice Department has recently acted "more like a trade association for federal prosecutors than the administrator of a fair system of justice" and equated some prosecutors to preschoolers and "headhunters."

It is given that the plurality of Jews wouldn’t vote for Donald J. Trump even if Moses endorsed him. We shouldn’t look for logic here. As prominent Zionist Max Nordau once observed, “logic is a Greek art and Jews can’t tolerate it”. Tom Teicholz, the author of the new book The Worst President Ever.: Prominent Republican and Former Trump Administration Officials Speak Out Against Trump, is not an exception. In it, rather than support his case, he offers an unending barrage of selective opinions of Trump opponents and disgruntled former employees who for the most part criticize the President’s intimidating...

If there were an "Embarrassing Moments Museum," Joe Biden's campaign would deserve a wing of its own. His inane statements, his chronic confusion about his campaign, his word soup, and his straining for relevance (Cardi B? Really?) create a mountain of humiliation. The only reason Biden keeps going is that the bubble in which his caretakers envelop him prevents him from seeing himself. But the worst thing Biden's ever done has to be playing "Despacito" for a Hispanic audience. People immediately noticed that the sex-saturated lyrics were wildly inappropriate for Biden. It was also a pander so blatant and crude...

Attorney General William Barr accused the Black Lives Matter movement of using the issue of Black people shot by police as a tool for a larger political agenda instead of sincerely trying to help those they claim to support. At an event hosted by Michigan's Hillsdale College on Wednesday, Barr was asked about the relationship between the rule of law and economic prosperity. That led to a discussion of crime and Barr's claim that while the concept of "Black lives matter" cannot be argued against, the organization using that slogan has little interest in making Black lives better.

"Stand firm . . . having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace" (Eph. 6:14-15). Standing firm while in the conflict requires the right kind of spiritual footwear. I'll never forget a game that took place at the Rose Bowl during my college football days. Being winter time and late in the football season, the field was in bad shape from several days of rain and an entire season of wear and tear. However, the grounds crew painted the field green, so it looked much better than it actually was. I had two pairs of football...

The wisdom of then Senate majority leader Harry Reid’s decision to change centuries-old Senate rules to allow a simple majority vote for appeals and district court justices was clearly warned against. Many Republicans plainly stated to Democrats: do not do this. Reid’s 2013 move reset the threshold for circuit and appeals judicial confirmation from 60 senate votes to 51 (It also set in motion a change in Supreme Court confirmations to the same 51 vote threshold stewarded by current Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell). One of the most intriguing fallouts from Reid’s fateful decision is the battle within the confirmation...

Memo to high-school seniors applying to selective colleges: A high score on your SAT is out. A Covid-19 epiphany is in. Hundreds of colleges dropped their mandate for a standardized test score this year as a result of the pandemic, but the replacement criterion at many schools may be just as daunting for would-be college freshmen: a new understanding of themselves and their place in the world as a result of the pandemic. “This wasn’t something you could study for or plan for, but it offers a great opportunity for students to show us what they were able to do...

A literal coup d'état - a bloody revolution against the American system - to depose President Trump and prevent a second term at all costs is looking like a foregone conclusion heading into November. Reporting from the pro-Trump news aggregation site, Revolver News showed that the so-called Transition Integrity Project (TIP) is filled with Soros-backed operatives and Never Trumpers. Despite the obviously partisan nature of the project, it is being heralded as unbiased and non-partisan. Public policy is being crafted based on TIP’s recommendation to “secure the vote,” ie. doing everything possible to make sure Trump is not the winner. The shadowy...

(CNN)If not enough Americans get a Covid-19 vaccine when it becomes available, it won't help reduce the spread of the deadly virus, the nation's top infectious disease official said. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Dr. Anthony Fauci addressed the risks of too few people taking the vaccine. Even a third of Americans getting vaccinated against the coronavirus won't be enough, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said. "It's a combination of how effective a vaccine is and how many people use it," Fauci said. "If you have a vaccine that is highly...

These teenagers may have taken their Dunkin too seriously. Montclair, NJ Patch reported that on August 26, a group of teenagers attacked the manager of a Montclair, New Jersey Dunkin Donuts, located on Bloomfield Avenue. The Montclair Police Department said that six to seven girls entered the Montclair store, unmasked and asked for free donuts. The State of New Jersey requires individuals to wear a mask when in indoor spaces open to the public, including retail, recreational, and entertainment businesses, government buildings open to the public, and on public transportation." The manager said that they became difficult, and when they...

Marie Harf told Newt Gingritch, "We don't need to discuss Xxxxxx Xxxxx". Monica Showalter writing in the American Thinker identifies this role as commissar censor. That's helpful for us to zoom in on the officially censored news in the land of the First Amendment. The rule is, "Thou Shalt Not Shine a Light on Oligarchs". In the old Soviet Union, ordinary people could get alerts to hidden, seismic rumblings within the ruling Politburo by reading Pravda. Now you can creat a Google News Alert on "Marie Harf" to get the official word about what you must not listen to, read,...

Seven years ago, Facebook chief operating officer (COO) Sheryl Sandberg launched her Lean In initiative to empower women in the workplace. Hoping to break the cycle of male domination and the condemnation of ambitious women it generated, Sandberg urged women to speak candidly about their ideas and to step forward fearlessly into leadership roles. Her book-that-created-a-movement established women's networks that survive to this day. Too bad that the concepts Sandberg articulated — particularly with respect to the importance of speech — do not prevail at the company through which she exercises enormous power. Censoring conservative female writers like Michelle Malkin...
