When you look at the numbers of dead throughout the Wuhan virus pandemic, one pattern follows in almost every state. Namely, that nursing homes are the epicenters of the outbreak. WeÂ’ve seen incredibly large death rates among our most vulnerable populations. But one state in particular did something that make the issue that much worse. New York instituted and enforced a rule which required nursing homes to re-accept COVID-19 positive patients back into their facilities. The toll for that has been enormous. New York added 1,700 more nursing home deaths to the fatality rolls in just the past few days....

Health care workers that came to New York to help fight the coronavirus pandemic at its epicenter will have to pay state taxes, according to the governor. He addressed the issues Tuesday at a news conference. “We’re not in a position to provide any subsidies right now because we have a $13 billion deficit,” Gov. Andrew Cuomo said. “So there’s a lot of good things I’d like to do, and if we get federal funding, we can do, but it would be irresponsible for me to sit here looking at a $13 billion deficit and say I’m gonna spend more...

TIPTON, Pa. (WJAC) — The Blair County Farm Bureau will partner with the American Dairy Association Northeast to host a milk giveaway at DelGrosso’s Park in Tipton Saturday. They say dairy farmers are...

Several items of interest for everyone from this morning… News you won’t see reported on CNN, Part I – In fact, the little 3 paragraph story at this link is the only one that shows up on a Google search. The news is that on Monday, the U.S. reported its lowest Wuhan Virus death toll in over a month, coming in at 1,015. Major media outlets, after having spent the last 3 days trumpeting an absurd study predicting the toll would rise to 3,000 per day by June, have basically put an embargo on this positive development, as well as...

Posted on May 5, 2020 by Msgr. Charles Pope How Did Jesus Go From Being a Hero to Being Hated In Less Than a Week? Although we are well into the Easter season, my mind harkens back to an event on Good Friday that has often puzzled me. What turned the crowd against Jesus? Recall that just six days earlier, on Palm Sunday, the crowds praised Him, acclaimed Him Son of David, and spoke of Him as a king and messiah. By the morning of Good Friday, though, they were calling for Him to be crucified. What turned them...

Filmmaker and Bernie Sanders supporter Michael Moore's new movie "Planet of the Humans" characterizes so-called green energy as just another crony capitalist scam. "We went into this project hoping to prove the superiority of green energy," Moore said. "We found out otherwise." "Consider, the solar panels needed to generate electricity are made with metallurgical coal and require 16 times more materials in the form of cement, glass, and steel than do nuclear plants, and create 300 times more waste," Moore observed. "Then there are the renewable bio-fuels that are produced using tractors that run on diesel, use water pumped by...

Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell has told House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff that transcripts from the panel’s Russia probe are cleared for public release, as House Republicans demand access to the materials. Grenell penned a letter -- obtained by Fox News -- this week to Schiff, D-Calif., notifying him that transcripts of all 53 interviews -- which add up to more than 6,000 pages in total -- related to foreign interference in the 2016 election can be released. “All of the transcripts, with our required redactions, can be released to the public without any concerns of disclosing...

Positive, life-saving news from the trenches that’s going unreported by those fearful of ending the lockdown.Ever since (President Trump expressed optimism) about the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19, the mere mention of that drug can elicit instantaneous, strident, and finger-wagging condemnation by the mainstream media and all those who are pulling for the pandemic to lay waste to the economy and pave the way for a fundamental progressive transformation of America. Despite its use by health-care providers (across the country) and (around the world) to successfully treat COVID-19, you will be mocked as either a fool or a snake...

“Full House” actress Lori Loughlin is more confident than ever that she did “nothing illegal” in the college admissions scandal and that her case could be dropped, according to a report Wednesday. As her trial date approaches, the 55-year-old celebrity is demanding that charges against her be dismissed because, her lawyers claim, the feds pressured the mastermind behind the scheme, Rick Singer, to lie to her during recorded conversations, according to Us Weekly. “Lori’s lawyers feel they have a very strong chance of having the charges dismissed because prosecutors withheld key evidence that [ringleader] Rick Singer was pressured by the...

Gov. Ralph Northam of Virginia stood behind a podium at the front of the room -- wearing no mask -- but looking like he had an important message to deliver. He was issuing an order to the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority. As part of his strategy to deal with COVID-19, Virginia restaurants and bars would now be able to sell mixed drinks for takeout or delivery. "All Virginia restaurants that remain open are now takeout or delivery only," Northam said. "Allowing them to sell mixed beverages with takeout or delivery orders will help them augment their revenue streams so...

Time is running out for Denver folks to procure trendy face masks for their family because if they don’t have one by Wednesday, they’ll essentially be under house arrest until Mayor Hancock says otherwise. The mask mandate means everyone older than three must wear a face-covering in almost every instance when they leave their house or their own vehicle. If your four-year-old is caught slipping off the mask to gulp down a juice box in the store, bam! You’re looking at a fine of nearly $1,000. Oh, and if you’re a single parent, good luck finding a babysitter so you...

Rumors were rampant in mid-April when North Korea's communist despot, Kim Jong Un, disappeared from public view at a surprising time: when the entire benighted citizenry of the country is required to worship his grandfather Kim Il Sung as some kind of Marxist deity. In a country this shackled, we would expect reliable news media to tread lightly. But that expectation would be wrong. Two weeks ago, CNN anchor Jim Sciutto -- former chief of staff to our ambassador to China under former President Barack Obama -- tweeted, "Breaking: The US is monitoring intelligence that North Korean leader Kim Jong...
