Students at a Christian university in Ohio called their pro-life peers “terrorists” in a recent attempt to shut down a new student pro-life club on campus.
One News Now reports the matter involves pro-life and pro-abortion students at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio, a private school whose motto is “Christ and the Church.”
Prior to the coronavirus shutdowns, the Case Western Undergraduate Student Government approved the formation of a new Students for Life club on campus, according to the report.
But soon afterward, a group of pro-abortion students began a petition to get the pro-life group kicked off of campus. The petition claims the pro-life students would create a “hostile environment” on campus and labels them as terrorists.
“Protesting or holding ‘peaceful vigils’ outside of care [abortion] providers is tantamount to medical terrorism,” the petition reads.
“To be called ‘terrorist’ and ‘violent’ is disturbing and obviously false,” Matt Lamb of Students for Life told One News Now.
Undeterred by the opposition, the pro-life students with Case Western Students for Life plan to continue their life-saving work when they go back to school. Students for Life said the Case Western student government and the administration appear to be sympathetic and supportive of the pro-life student group.
Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, expressed outrage at the attack.
“It is unbelievable that pro-choice students would call peaceful pro-lifers ‘terrorists’ because we pray and sidewalk counsel outside of abortion facilities,” Hawkins said in a statement. “The pro-life generation and the pro-life movement is one of peace; we, after all, work every day to end the violence of abortion. It is the incendiary language from pro-choicers that leads to violence and hatred against pro-lifers.”
The pro-life organization and LifeNews have been keeping track of violence against pro-lifers on campus and across the world. In 2019, LifeNews.com recorded more than 100 reports of assault, vandalism, harassment and other incidents targeting pro-life advocates.

The “Terrorist” connection to pro-life groups is non-existent.
The “Terrorist” connection to the pro-life cause is minuscule at best.

If pro-life groups can be banned on campuses then so must anti-war groups.
Case Western IS NOT a Christian college... regardless of their out dated “motto”....
Its a very reputable school as well.... but NOT Christian....

Very informative thank you. If holding peaceful vigils outside abortion clinics and saying, “I will pray for you” is now considered terrorism, then what do you call the left-wing student riots that break out whenever a conservative speaker is invited to campus? Enhanced terrorism?
“Hostile environment” can mean just about anything the speaker doesn’t like these days.
