Passengers on Cruise Ships U.S. citizens, particularly travelers with underlying health conditions, should not travel by cruise ship. CDC notes increased risk of infection of COVID-19 in a cruise ship environment. In order to curb the spread of COVID-19, many countries have implemented strict screening procedures that have denied port entry rights to ships and prevented passengers from disembarking. In some cases, local authorities have permitted disembarkation but subjected passengers to local quarantine procedures. While the U.S. government has evacuated some cruise ship passengers in recent weeks, repatriation flights should not be relied upon as an option for U.S. citizens...

...if Warren fans want Americans to believe that a woman can do the job, falling apart and grieving inconsolably over their girl dropping out isn’t exactly on message. “Senator Warren is just as tough and just as qualified as any man!” “Leave Senator Warren alone!! Stop asking her to endorse someone! Give her time to process this!” Yeah. Same people. If you can’t handle losing an election, why on earth should we believe you can handle the rigors of President of the United States?...

"We have sinned, committed iniquity, acted wickedly, and rebelled, even turning aside from Thy commandments and ordinances. . . . We have not listened to Thy servants the prophets. . . . Open shame belongs to us, O Lord . . . because we have sinned against Thee. . . . Indeed all Israel has transgressed Thy law and turned aside, not obeying Thy voice. . . . Thy people have become a reproach to all those around us" (Dan. 9:5-16). Others should be the primary focus of your prayers. In verses 5-16 Daniel identifies with his people and intercedes...

Not tens of thousands of people like at Trump – or maybe even Bernie Sanders – rallies Kit Daniels | Infowars.com Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden, who has ‘effectively endorsed’ President Trump’s re-election with a slip-up on Saturday, attracted tens of people to a campaign event in Flint, Michigan. In Biden’s defense, he at least filled up all the seats his campaign provided, and it appears he had a overflow crowd of 50 or so people according to photos, definitely tens of people and not hundreds of people, although that wouldn’t be a relatively large crowd either given the crowd sizes...

Chronic wasting disease first appeared in Pennsylvania back in 2012. Now, researchers at the University of Pennsylvania are exploring some ‘off-the-wall’ measures to identify the fatal neurological disease in deer and other cervid species before they expire. One approach UPenn is exploring is the use of disease-sniffing dogs to detect CWD in deer feces in one of three new research projects receiving $1 million from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. According to Penn Live, the department is supplying $242,246 for the project, which will be led by Cynthia Otto, professor and director of Penn’s School of Veterinary Working Dog Center....

One of my favorite posters on free republic is sod poodle. When he/she posts, I always pause and read the thread, as it is always interesting and humorous. While doing a You Tube search for Ed Montana songs, I came across these two "Sod Poodle" songs, one by Ed Montana and the other by Carson Leverett. Apparently the Sod Poodles are an Amarillo, Texas baseball team. It is good to learn something new on most days. In honor of one of my favorite freepers, here are two Sod Poodle songs, one by Ed Montana, the other by Carson Leverett. Thanks,...

As school districts and colleges around the region go online-only or close, Washington state’s largest school district released a statement Friday saying it won’t be doing that: Seattle Public Schools will remain open. The district’s reasoning, the announcement said, beyond listening to health officials, is making sure children receive the different services they need — in and out of the classroom. “While education is our primary responsibility, public schools are also the access point to critical social services for thousands of students and families,” district spokesman Tim Robinson wrote in the statement. “Many of our families rely on our schools...
