The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published a list Tuesday of qualified disinfectants to use for protection against the coronavirus. “The EPA-registered disinfectant products on our Disinfectants for Use Against SARS-CoV-2 list have qualified under EPA’s emerging viral pathogen program for use against SARS-CoV-2, a coronavirus that causes COVID-19,” the website stated. Coronaviruses are enveloped viruses, which means they are among the easiest types to kill with the appropriate disinfectant, according to the EPA. There may be additional disinfectants that meet the criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2. EPA will update this list with additional products as needed,” the agency stated....

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) on March 5 effectively barred FBI and Justice Department officials involved in the infamous application to surveil former Trump campaign associate Carter Page. The chief justice of the secret court, James Boasberg, ordered the ban in a 19-page opinion, the latest in a series of developments triggered by the release of the condemning report by the Office of Inspector General (OIG), which examined the four Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) applications the FBI used to spy on Page. Boasberg wrote, “No DOJ or FBI personnel under disciplinary or criminal review relating to their work...

Blake Gibbins, 27 of Lafayette, Colo., pleaded guilty in September to one misdemeanor count of assaulting a member of Congress, The Des Moines Register reported. Gibbins was arrested in March 2019 for throwing water at the lawmaker at the Mineral City Mill and Grill in Fort Dodge, Iowa. King was reportedly eating a group lunch when Gibbins approached the table and threw the water, hitting King and those at lunch....

Former first lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton suggested current first lady Melania Trump “should look closer to home” regarding her cyberbullying campaign. Appearing on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” on Thursday night, Clinton was asked, “What do you honestly think of first lady Melania Trump’s cyberbullying initiative?” “I think she should look closer to home,” Clinton replied, in an obvious dig at her former 2016 presidential campaign rival President Donald Trump’s penchant for tweeting. The three pillars of Melania Trump’s Be Best initiative are well-being, online safety and opioid abuse. According to the official White...

During a portion of an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria released on Friday, former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton reiterated her claim that 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) isn’t the strongest person to take on President Trump and stated that 2020 Democrat former Vice President Joe Biden is building “a broad-based coalition.” Clinton said, “As I’ve said many times, I do not think he’s our strongest nominee against Donald Trump.” Zakaria then asked if this was an endorsement of Biden, and Clinton responded that she isn’t endorsing. Zakaria then countered, “There’s nobody left.” Clinton conceded that there...

Former Department of Homeland Security Inspector General Charles Edwards and his former aide Murali Yamazula Venkata were indicted Friday on charges of stealing government property to defraud the U.S. government. Yamazula was also charged with destroying records. The indictments handed down by the Justice Department allege that Edwards and Venkata were working with others within the inspector general’s office to orchestrate a scheme to steal confidential and proprietary software that includes sensitive information on government employees. Prosecutors say Edwards was attempting to resell a revamped package of the software as a product of his firm, Delta Business Solutions to the...

The Trump administration will deploy 160 active-duty soldiers to two cities adjacent the U.S.-Mexico border. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Friday said it would deploy 80 active-duty soldiers to San Diego's San Ysidro border and 80 troops to El Paso's Paso del Norte bridge as soon as Saturday to aid customs officials at entry points, according to USA Today. The decision comes as the administration requests the Supreme Court to uphold the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) or "Remain in Mexico" policy after a lower federal district court in California ruled against the plan last April, saying it violates...

Sharyl: When a news organization or company commissions a poll, do they get to decide what questions are asked and what the headline is? Because sometimes the headline they pick, which was usually that Trump was doing poorly in some area, if you dug in, there were really signals that showed the opposite in some instances but were not headlined. Scott Rasmussen: Right. So obviously the the organization paying for the poll can use it however they want. They can select the questions, they can interpret it as they want. Sometimes there’s a really funny dynamic where the president’s job...

In CNN’s coverage of Tuesday’s vote in the U.S. Senate on the “Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,” the network described the legislation as an “abortion restriction,” blatantly lying about bill, which does not restrict abortion at all. The “Born Alive” bill, which failed to pass 56-41, would have required medical providers to “exercise the proper degree of care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion.” Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, told The Federalist the bill itself “does not address abortion, the rights or wrongs of it. What it does do is make sure that...

CHARLESTON — West Virginia remains “low risk” for COVID-19, the new coronavirus, but state officials are taking precautions and making preparations for a possible outbreak. Wednesday afternoon, Gov. Jim Justice and Department of Health and Human Resources Secretary Bill Crouch said they are in contact with federal officials and have assembled a wide-ranging team of state medical experts, educators and others in response to the rapidly spreading virus. The virus is “slightly more severe” than the flu but not as contagious as the measles, Justice said. “We don’t have a case here in West Virginia, but we’ve got to be...

South Carolina lawmakers proposed a bill Wednesday that would require transgender high school athletes to compete on teams with the gender they were assigned at birth — and not the gender they identify with. . LGBTQ advocates were quick to speak out against the legislation brought forward Wednesday, with South Carolina-based SC Equality saying the policy “creates a dangerous situation for South Carolina’s LGBTQ children, causing them to worry about their safety, wellbeing, and inclusion at school and in the community” in a statement obtained by McClatchy News. Representatives said the bill, the “Save Women’s Sports Act,” is meant to...

Starting tomorrow, Sunday, March 8, the days will get one hour longer. No more driving home from work in the dark until October. One extra hour of daylight! This is one of my favorite times of the year and the first true sign that spring is upon us. Now I will have time to sit outside on my patio after work and watch for signs of the coming summer with a beer in my hand and a steak on the grill. I just want to give thanks to an otherwise horrible president, Lyndon Johnson, who did do one good thing...

Former President Bill Clinton is aggrieved that “I was persecuted for trying to ease my anxieties with sexual healing. Throughout history, powerful men have been allowed to consort with concubines or mistresses as a way to recharge after the stress of ruling a nation. Every Chinese emperor had a whole room full of compliant women. Henry VIII of England had mistresses all around the country. Yet, I was mercilessly hounded for my casual relationships aimed at achieving a similar relief.” Clinton expressed a bit of remorse “that Monica Lewinsky’s life may have been ruined by the notoriety after our relationship...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., is coming under fire after urging illegal immigrants to participate in the upcoming census -- with opponents saying her language was “anti-American,” "We're all going to get mailed a prompt to fill out the census in the next two weeks or so," she said Thursday on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” "And so I think what’s really important is that we all fill this out. It happens once every 10 years.” “Every single person, no matter your documentation status, no matter your housing status, income, etc., is to be counted,” she said, before assuring viewers that...

VIDEO Meet Lindy Li. A spokesperson for the Joe Biden campaign whose recent interview was quite entertaining. Li vociferously claimed there was NO Democrat establishment just moments after saying she voted for Bernie Sanders in the 2016 Pennsylvania primary because as a protest against the Democrat establishment as represented by Hillary Clinton. Oh, and as for Bernie Sanders, despite her vote for him in 2016, Li now says that she absolutely WON'T vote for him this year even if he is the Democrat nominee. Congratulations, Lindy! You have now given permission to all those Bernie supporters out there to...
