One is loathe to focus too much attention on the Never Trump pundit class in Washington, D.C., but a fascinating development this weekend begs some scrutiny and a long-overdue response. While Bernie Sanders ran away with the Nevada caucus, "Never Trump" trended on Twitter across the nation because the high-profile, conservative voices of the last decade openly lamented that Democratic voters let them down by not nominating their candidates of choice to go up against President Donald Trump this November. The arrogant, hubris required to lecture life-long Democrats as to how wrong they are for not following the advice of...

Coming off the heels of his big victory in the Nevada Caucus, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) sat down for an interview with Anderson Cooper for the CBS newsmagazine 60 Minutes. The discussion touched upon several topics, including Sanders’ highly touted democratic socialist policies. Yet, despite the best attempts by Cooper to glean information about Sanders’ stance on several issues, the savvy socialist seemed unwilling to go into depth about many of his controversial comments and what his vision of America would actually entail. For starters, when asked, “What is democratic socialism?” Bernie dodged and weaved a la Muhammad Ali v. George...

The Democratic presidential candidate's plan includes six "Biden principles for housing": affordability, stability, safety and health, accessibility, energy efficiency and resilience, and closeness to good schools and jobs. . . . The plan would be paid for by raising taxes on corporations and large financial institutions, including a specific fee on "certain liabilities of firms with over $50 billion in assets."

This article is a collection of Scripture verses on one of the most important themes in God's Word -- the state of being just (also translated "righteous"). First and foremost, it's clearly an important idea because Jesus Himself is called "the Just" and "the Just One." But the state of being just is also frequently mentioned in both testaments of God's Word, and in many of its most important verses, such as Habakkuk 2:4, which is partly quoted several times in the New Testament. “Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall...

Twitter has locked the accounts of two users with more than 60,000 collective followers after The Guardian reported they could be bots designed to push misinformation about climate change. The Guardian's story, penned by Oliver Milman, centers on an unpublished draft study, which hasn't been peer-reviewed, but claims that a quarter of all tweets about climate come from bots. It then cited a tool called Botometer, to identify Twitter users @sh_irredeemable and @petefrt as likely bots.

The internet is not laughing after 50 Cent made a joke about Dwyane Wade‘s transgender daughter, Zaya. The “Power” producer shared a meme on Sunday that featured an image of Wade, 38, and R. Kelly during New York Fashion Week in 2016. A talk bubble above Kelly reads, “Heard you had a daughter now,” while one above the former NBA star reads, “U touch her I’ll kill ya.” “LOL NOW THIS SOME FUNNY S–T,” 50 Cent, 44, captioned the post. Kelly, 53, has been accused of sexually abusing several minors. He also faces racketeering, sex-trafficking and bribery charges in Brooklyn...

A House committee investigating potential surveillance of former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch is struggling to get records and text messages from Robert Hyde, the GOP congressional candidate who claimed to have her under surveillance, according to emails obtained by NBC News. Hyde, in response, is accusing the House Foreign Affairs Committee of “trying to set me up.” The Foreign Affairs Committee announced in mid-January it would investigate text messages that emerged in the impeachment investigation that showed Hyde provided detailed information about Yovanovitch’s purported whereabouts in Kyiv to Lev Parnas, an indicted associate of Rudy Giuliani. Hyde has said...

The federal government on Monday released for the first time the proposed alignment of the border wall in Webb and Zapata counties, a continuous barrier for 69 miles starting at the Colombia Solidarity Bridge and ending just south of San Ygnacio. This is a proposed 30-foot-tall steel bollard structure with a 150-foot-wide “enforcement zone” that entails clearing all vegetation between the river and the wall. The maps show a proposed alignment running relatively close to the Rio Grande, following its contours.

I’ve long viewed Tom Steyer’s quest for the Democratic presidential nomination as a bad joke. He has never held elective office and was pretty much a non-entity on the national scene before his announcement. He has spent millions of dollars manipulating the DNC’s insipid rules and managed to get on the debate stage, where he’s mostly been ignored. So far, that’s gotten him to 2.2% in the national polls, leading only the lunatic Tulsi Gabbard. But, of course, we don’t have a national primary but rather a weird system of state-by-state races interspersed with massive votefests on March 3 (“Super...

The investigation of Phil’s death continues, and I hope that Attorney General William Barr constitutes a team of special investigators from the federal law enforcement bureaucracy under his command to conduct an exhaustive, independent investigation of the circumstances of Phil’s death, given that Phil had exposed enormous treachery by the Obama administration to cripple our nation’s counterterrorism efforts.

Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano reacted to the Harvey Weinstein verdict on “America’s Newsroom” Monday, calling it a "significant victory" for the disgraced movie producer and a "monumental setback" for prosecutors. Weinstein, 67, was convicted of first-degree commission of a criminal sexual act and third-degree rape but was acquitted of two more serious charges of predatory sexual assault, as well as first-degree rape. The charges Weinstein was convicted of carry a total sentence of up to 29 years in prison. “He’s still facing serious time," Napolitano said. "But, these are not the life sentences, the big ones...

Francis Cardinal: Abu Dhabi Document Is Bomb with Time Fuze "The Abu Dhabi document is a bomb with delayed effect," Rabat Cardinal Cristóbal Lopez Romero said at a February 22 presser in Bari, Italy. He meant this positively, “It will bear fruit in the next 5, 10, 20 years.”According to him “the stage of dialogue, which consisted of tolerance, is over.” Now, the “dialogue of friendship, hospitality, mutual knowledge, respect and openness to each other and collaboration to build a better world has begun.”Lopez sees this as a sign of “the Spirit at work.”It is noticeable that the modernist would never...

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — One of every three people in Venezuela is struggling to put enough food on the table to meet minimum nutrition requirements as the nation’s severe economic contraction and political upheaval persists, according to a study published Sunday by the U.N. World Food Program. A nationwide survey based on data from 8,375 questionnaires reveals a startling picture of the large number of Venezuelans surviving off a diet consisting largely of tubers and beans as hyperinflation renders many salaries worthless. A total of 9.3 million people – roughly one-third of the population – are moderately or severely food...

Most cases are not life-threatening, which is also what makes the virus a historic challenge to contain (big snip) The Harvard epidemiology professor Marc Lipsitch is exacting in his diction, even for an epidemiologist. Twice in our conversation he started to say something, then paused and said, “Actually, let me start again.” So it’s striking when one of the points he wanted to get exactly right was this: “I think the likely outcome is that it will ultimately not be containable.” …Lipsitch predicts that, within the coming year, some 40 to 70 percent of people around the world will be...

Just did a quick check on the four tv stations in Miami. If you didn't know, Crazy Bernie praised the communist regime in Cuba on 60 Minutes. Lots of people fled Cuba for south Florida. You might think the local Miami media would be interested in such a story, but not so much. The CBS station did cover it--after all, 60 Minutes is on CBS. The NBC station WTVJ also has a story on the web site mentioning Bernie's dumb remarks. ABC and Fox have not.
