It’s getting there
753 miles is a long way!
good job, beaubo.
thanx for keeping us posted on the wall
gitter done
Winning!
A lot in pre-construction, I think more than last time I saw. Rolling along.
Thumbs up!
“A lot in pre-construction, I think more than last time I saw”
The Defense of Department (DoD) recently formally approved a request for another $3.8 billion from their 2020 Counter-Narcotics account, so the projects that that money was earmarked against, now officially enter pre-construction.
More projects have been planned for another pot of money from DoD (Military Construction funds). Another $3.6 is planned to come from there in 2020, and those plans are detailed. When that request is formally submitted to DoD, and DoD formally commits the funding, those projects will then enter the formal pipeline, as part of the pre-construction pipeline.
So currently, 753 miles have been funded during the Trump Administration, but practically, 885 miles have funding identified - it just has not all yet been placed on account.
Along with 221 miles of pre-existing barrier assessed to be effective, we will be in the ball park of getting about the whole 1,100 miles of barrier identified as needed in the Comprehensive Plan for Full Operational Control Of the Southern Border, funded and contracted, before the end of President Trump’s first term.
Finishing construction would run into 2022, but that is the Contractor’s job - the Government’s main job would be done.
Absolutely amazing what our president has been able to do, with all the opposition from the Demsheviks.
Your upates are priceless.
Calling Ann Coulter.

it is amazing!
btw, beaubo, how many different contractors do we have working on the wall at this time?
“how many different contractors do we have working on the wall at this time?”
Hard to say, especially when you look at sub contractors.
For example, Fisher industries currently only has a contract as a sub - but it is for about a quarter of a billion dollars.
There are 12 big prime contractors that have been been pre-screened/approved for the rapid bidding on tasks, in at least three major MATOC (task order type) contracts for wall building through the Corps of Engineers (each with a $5 billion cap), but DoD can (and has done) their own contract vehicles in short order with their money.
A few of the vendors have won more of the work so far (like SLSCO and Southwest Valley Contractors). This year however, about $12 billion is available (twice as much as has been contracted so far, during the Trump Administration) for new contracts, so everybody should get some work
“Calling Ann Coulter”
Unaware of Ann’s agenda are you?
Wager placed on purposely misunderstanding her agenda.
Just curious, what is Coulter’s agenda?
I can’t speak directly for her, I don’t know her, but I think my estimation is pretty close to the mark. In very brief terms.
For the past 10 or 20 years she has increasingly dedicated her life to preserving the American way of life from being overrun by illegals. Borders, Language, Culture, to borrow a book title from Dr. Savage.
Her disappointment with Trumps failure to carry through with his promises on The Wall have led her to be willing to sacrifice her professional life in a (vain) attempt to force the issue to the forefront and to get some faster action on containing the mortal threat to our society.
People can question the effectiveness of her methods, but it irritates me to no end when they (I believe) deliberately misconstrue her beliefs and dedication to the noble cause of saving our country for the cheap thrill of mocking her.
$250mm is a mighty big chunk for a sub!
glad to hear of all the pre approved contractors too.
Now that the money has been budgeted, they can rock & roll
Thanx again for the insight
It’s interesting that you bring up mockery. Ann’s agenda was revealed when she relentlessly mocked the only president in our history to build a strong effective border wall. Her mockery was particularly galling since it revved into high gear just as POTUS was winning his battle with Congress to get the funding secured. It wasn’t easy but with creative budgeting and arm twisting POTUS got it done. So forgive me if I’m not overly sympathetic over poor Ann being mocked on this forum.
To argue that her criticism was merely based on her passionate commitment to her supposedly signature issue - illegal immigration - one has to ignore how easily she was willing to compromise her ‘principles’ when she became Romney’s chief cheerleader in 2012. No, Ann is a fraud, AKA a paytriot. I’m sorry you’ve allowed yourself to be fooled by her.
Yep - I hope the concern trolls who carped and complained for so long are feeling a bit abashed.....never mind, they have the scruples of the Dems...they will always think they’re right even as the proof of how wrong they are piles up.
Maybe they’ll start donating to FR....never mind...the thought was a senior moment...
At any rate, Trump keeps his promises - and supporting him makes more sense than whining...
