Since April, I’ve witnessed the ongoing destruction of the University of Tulsa (TU) by a cadre of wealthy and powerful people affiliated with the billionaire George Kaiser. Kaiser is the controlling shareholder of the Bank of Oklahoma Financial (BOKF), which handles much of TU’s business and is the corporate trustee of its $1.2 billion endowment. Frederic Dorwart, the chairman of TU’s board of trustees, is BOKF’s general counsel and president of the George Kaiser Family Foundation (GKFF). TU President Gerard Clancy sits on BOKF’s board; Steven Bradshaw, BOKF’s CEO, sits on TU’s board of trustees. TU trustee Chester Cadieux III...

More than a few exasperated pro-Trump folks have been asking, “What’s taking the Justice Department’s Inspector General so long to release his findings?” The answer? It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter when it’s released and it won’t matter what’s in it. Listen, I hate to be Debbie Downer here but the anticipation surrounding this report is rooted in the hope and sincere belief that its pages contain such shocking detail of government abuses and corruption within our intelligence agencies the nation will roil as one with cries for justice and vindication for Donald Trump! Sorry. It’s not going to happen....

A U.S. Military Academy cadet who vanished last week has been found dead, officials said Wednesday. The body of 20-year-old Kade Kurita was discovered Tuesday night at the West Point military post in New York, where the four-year federal service academy is located. Officials said the cause of death is under investigation, but foul play is not suspected. “We are grieving this loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to Cadet Kurita’s family and friends,” Lt. Gen. Darryl Williams, 60th superintendent of the U.S. Military Academy, said in a statement Wednesday. Kurita had been missing since Friday evening when...

This week evangelical pastor John MacArthur haughtily told Beth Moore to, “Go home,” when questioned regarding his thoughts about her. Then, as if this heartless comment wasn’t cringe-worthy enough, he compared Beth Moore’s sacred ministry call to that of a salesperson peddling jewelry on television. Here’s the thing: MacArthur’s stinging discourse regarding Beth Moore, wasn’t really about Beth Moore. He was disparaging every woman who has ever answered the call to ministry. In one clean swoop, he maligned Huldah, Deborah, Miriam, Priscilla, Phoebe, and Junia … and you. John MacArthur owes you an apology. But a far weighty matter is...

California’s tax plan is “so egregious” that residents of every socioeconomic background are leaving the state, host of Fox Business Network’s Charles Payne said Wednesday. California Democrats have raised taxes on high-income families again and again. While the left claims the measure doesn’t impact taxpayer migration or hurt state tax revenue, a new study conducted at Stanford University finds the opposite. The report reveals a 2012 income tax increase drove away many high earners. As a result, the state only netted about half the revenue gains it expected. The increase in 2012 jumped from 10.3 percent to 13.3 percent and...

The results of the October 21, 2019 election have served to confirm that Canada is a lost cause. Liberal prime minister Justin Trudeau, a very silly person who likes bobbing around in Indian costumes, praying in mosques robed in a white thawb, and uttering idiocies like “We don’t say mankind, we say peoplekind,” who pranced about in blackface and flaunting a genital banana, and who is guilty of two ethics violations which he wears like a badge of honor, has been re-elected, albeit with a minority government. With 157 seats the Liberals fell 13 short of majority status. The New...

Journalists and progressives -- categories that heavily overlap -- have spent the last few days discussing the release of a State Department report that they say exonerates Hillary Clinton over her serial misconduct related to classified information and her infamous private email server.  Based on the agency's final report, a New York Times headline blared, "State Dept. Inquiry Into Clinton Emails Finds No Deliberate Mishandling of Classified Information." The Washington Post's headline was nearly identical.  Here is Politico's lede on the story: A State Department investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email account found no widespread effort...

To our readers: Last month, The Crimson covered a rally organized by campus group Act on a Dream that called for the abolition of United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement. During the course of our reporting, Crimson reporters requested comment from ICE — a decision that has proved controversial with many of our readers. We stand behind that decision, and we wanted to share with you our thinking. The Crimson exists because of a belief that an uninformed campus would be a poorer one — that our readers have the right to be informed about the place where they live,...

The tax, which some critics deem a "sin tax," will be to the amount of $0.24 per gallon. The genesis behind the law is to continue the city’s push to be carbon-neutral by 2050.

Whilst poking at the notorious Slickdeals website for anything useful and within my budget, I ran across the post linked above for ten custom 3x3" vinyl stickers for a dollar with free shipping. The stickers are apparently cut down to fit your image if it's not perfectly square. Here's the link again:10-Count 3" x 3" Custom Die Cut Vinyl Stickers $1 + Free ShippingI ordinarily ain't much for such tomfoolery, but a fun thought occurred! I just finished placing an order and confirming the proof for ten stickers containing the following image:Sticker Mule's website complained at first about wanting a...

It’s all over but the shouting, and there really doesn’t even seem to be much of that. Yesterday was supposed to be the end of the ceasefire in northeastern Syria, at which point we expected the Turks to begin “cleansing†the twenty-mile wide border region of any remaining Kurdish fighters. But dawn broke and the fighting still seems to be on hold. The reason was announced earlier this morning and it seems that the Russians have stepped in and put all the combatants back in their respective corners. (Associated Press) Turkey’s Defense Ministry is signaling it won’t resume its...

Former vice president Joe Biden apologized Tuesday night for calling Bill Clinton’s 1998 impeachment a “partisan lynching.” Biden’s comments were unearthed after President Trump faced criticism Tuesday for characterizing House Democrats’ impeachment efforts as a “lynching” on Twitter. Trump’s comments sparked a bipartisan controversy. Senator Susan Collins (R., Maine) responded by saying “the President never should have made that comparison,” while Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) called the use of the term “disgraceful.” Senator Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.) defended Trump, calling the impeachment inquiry “a lynching in every sense” and “un-American.” Biden joined in and tweeted a response to Trump, calling...

Several Democrats had to hit reverse yesterday from their criticism of Donald Trump’s use of the word “lynching†to describe the impeachment push against him. Within hours, research showed that some of the same Democrats stampeding toward microphones to excoriate Trump used the term to describe criticism against other Democrats in the past. That includes, especially, the impeachment of Bill Clinton, as the Washington Post noted late yesterday. The oddest apology came from Joe Biden, however, who wants everyone to know that, er … he had no idea what this meant when he said it? Just to make this context...

Former Obama national security adviser Susan Rice and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) often sparred in the wake of the 2012 terror attack in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans. Graham repeatedly blasted the Obama administration's inaction and misleading narrative about the attack. Rice recalled all the tension during an interview on the "Pod Save the World" podcast with former Obama adviser Tommy Vietor this week, when the two compared Sen. Graham to excrement and accused him of "lying" and "raising money off the death of four Americans." “He’s been a piece of s**t,” Rice chimed in. “I said it! I...

Lori Loughlin is reportedly getting scared now that she and her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, have been hit with another wave of additional charges related to their part in the college admissions scandal. After the Justice Department announced Tuesday that the couple, along with nine other parents, were indicted on federal charges related to bribery, a source close to the family says they’re running out of hope .They feel like this is David versus Goliath," a source close to Loughlin, 55, told People. "How do you go up against the federal government, when the government has decided to make...

Screenshot from Fox 23 report on April 16, 2019 U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- In April, two Oklahoma law enforcement departments auctioned off guns they had accumulated. The guns had not been used in crimes, but were seized for a variety of reasons. They were turned into the police by people who did not want them. They were seized from prohibited possessors. They were forfeited as part of plea deals. Oklahoma County auctioned off about 500 firearms they had collected. The guns were sold to dealers with federal firearms licenses (FFL).Tulsa County auctioned off over 700 firearms. They collected $129,000 from the auction....

The usual suspects are indignant, indignant I tell you, about the fact that President Trump used the term “lynching†in one of his tweets: Donald J. Trump ✔@realDonaldTrump So some day, if a Democrat becomes President and the Republicans win the House, even by a tiny margin, they can impeach the President, without due process or fairness or any legal rights. All Republicans must remember what they are witnessing here - a lynching. But we will WIN! 7:52 AM - Oct 22, 2019 The accustomed media and left-of-center figures immediately began howling and caterwauling. This is unsurprising. If Trump...

Hawley to Introduce Bill to Move Federal Agencies out of Washington D.C. to Economically Stagnant Areas Days after squaring off online against “elitist” critics of Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue’s relocation of agency jobs, Senator Josh Hawley (R., Mo.) will introduce legislation on Wednesday that would move the majority of the federal bureaucracy out of Washington D.C. to economically depressed areas, according to a summary of the bill provided to National Review. The “Helping Infrastructure Restore the Economy (HIRE) Act,” which is cosponsored by Senator Marsha Blackburn (R., Tenn.), would move 90 percent of the positions within ten executive agencies to...

OCTOBER 21, 2019 | JUDICIAL WATCH JUDICIAL WATCH: NEW BENGHAZI DOCUMENTS CONFIRM CLINTON EMAIL COVER-UP (Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today released new Clinton emails on the Benghazi controversy that had been covered up for years and would have exposed Hillary Clinton’s email account if they had been released when the State Department first uncovered them in 2014. The long withheld email, clearly responsive to Judicial Watch’s lawsuit seeking records concerning “talking points or updates on the Benghazi attack,” contains Clinton’s private email address and a conversation about the YouTube video that sparked the Benghazi talking points scandal (Judicial Watch...
