Student loan debt keeps growing. There is a better solution than the ones politicians offer, which stick the taxpayer or the loan lenders with the whole bill. It's called an "income share agreement." Investors give money to a college, and the college then gives a free or partially free education to some students. When those students graduate, they pay the college a certain percentage of their future income. It's a way "for the school to say to students, 'You're only going to pay us if we help you succeed'," explains Beth Akers, co-author of the book "Game of Loans." Andrew...

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — President Donald Trump is making his 14th trip to Pennsylvania tomorrow. Wednesday’s visit to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center is for the Marcellus Shale Coalition’s conference. His return appearance at the conference in Pittsburgh is an official event, but it is reminiscent of his campaign stop here three years ago. “They tell me that a Republican can’t carry the state of Pennsylvania. Wait until they see what happens here,” said candidate Trump back then. “Wait’ll you see. I think we’re going to have a big, big victory right here.” As a political prognosticator, President Trump was...

A federal court on Tuesday blocked new rules established by the Trump administration that would have allowed employers with religious or moral objections to opt out of an Obamacare requirement that includes birth control coverage in employee health insurance plans. Two out of the three judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit concluded that a birth control exemption violated the Affordable Care Act’s contraception mandate, which requires all employers to provide birth control coverage with no co-payment. The Health and Human Services Department, Labor Department, and Treasury Department in 2017, started adopting new rules that allowed...

Speculation is growing that Hillary Clinton will make a last-minute entry into the 2020 presidential race after reports published Tuesday said members of the Democratic establishment doubted any of the party’s current top candidates can beat President Trump next November. But those Democrats already running said Clinton is doing more harm than good for the party by taking aim at Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, in recent remarks. Clinton in recent weeks has privately stated she would enter the 2020 presidential race if she were certain she could win, The New York Times reported Tuesday. The story, titled “Anxious Democratic Establishment...

Last week, U.S. Attorney General William Barr told a University of Notre Dame Law School audience that attacks on religious liberty have contributed to a moral decline that's in part manifested by increases in suicides, mental illness and drug addiction. Barr said that our moral decline is not random but "organized destruction." Namely that "Secularists and their allies have marshaled all the forces of mass communication, popular culture, the entertainment industry, and academia in an unremitting assault on religion and traditional values." The attorney general is absolutely correct. Whether we have the stomach to own up to it or not,...

A Group financed by the late Paul Allen is searching for sunken WW II ships. If you remember they found the Aircraft Carrier Lexington which was sunk in the battle of the Coral Sea. Now the group is attempting to located ships that were lost during the Battle of Midway. They have found the Kaga and more recently the Akagi. New Video of the Kaga on the ocean floor has been released. The ship is around 15,000 ft or more below surface. I find this type of thing fascinating just thinking of how many people on both sides are still...

I locked my car. As I walked away I heard my car door unlock. I went back and locked my car again three times. Each time, as soon as I started to walk away, I would hear it unlock again!! Naturally alarmed, I looked around and there were two guys sitting in a car in the fire lane next to the store. They were obviously watching me intently, and there was no doubt they were somehow involved in this very weird situation . I quickly chucked the errand I was on, jumped in my car and sped away. I went...

Representative Elise Stefanik (R-New York) gives a good general perspective from a centrist, non ideological, politician. As a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) Stefanik is at the center of the impeachment efforts undertaken by HPSCI Chairman Adam Schiff. Ms. Stefanik has had enough of the schemes and games and is publicly calling out Chairman Schiff for his manipulation of the impeachment process. This type of push-back is good, because Pelosi and Schiff’s crew are comfortable with the customary GOP push-back from McCarthy, Jordan, Meadows, Gaetz, Collins, Nunes etc. However, the Lawfare crowd is not prepared...

NOAA released its official winter outlook Thursday morning, predicting a higher probability for above average temperatures across much of the country, and above average precipitation for much of the Upper Plains, Midwest and Great Lakes. Forecasters say that even though colder than average temperatures are not favored, there will likely be some areas that end up with temperatures below average for the winter season (December-February). The El Niño Southern Oscillation often times influences our winter weather here in the United States, however forecasters with NOAA say we are currently in neutral conditions (neither El Niño or La Niña are present)...

A top Missouri high school football team forfeited all wins from an undefeated 2019 season and the program's head coach was fired as part of self-imposed sanctions after it was discovered the squad was using an ineligible player wearing a different jersey. **SNIP** Cardinal Ritter self-reported the use of an ineligible player to the state’s high school sports governing body Tuesday, according to the Post-Dispatch. The issue stems from the school using a player who was supposed to be suspended for the first game of the season but played anyway using a different name. Junior Bill Jackson, who was ejected...

They were released with a court date set for Oct. 30 at Rockville Superior Court in Vernon, Connecticut. Karal and Mucaj’s charges could result in a $50 fine or up to 30 days in jail. Sen. Elizabeth Warren lent her voice to teachers striking in Chicago on Tuesday, addressing a rally of teachers as they called for smaller class sizes and better pay. When in need of healing there are two things that are very important. And they are the words you take in and the words you speak out. In Proverbs 4:20-23 God gives specific instructions to attend to his words, incline your ear unto his sayings, let them not depart from your eyes, keep them in the midst of your heart. Notice, where it says to keep the word, in your heart. In Act 14:7-10 it speaks of a man that was impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb. It says this man heard Paul speak and...

Democrats are running exploratory committees that are set up so as to curtail President Trump, the White House, and others their due process rights so that Democrats can gather information and engage in whatever actions or endeavors they desire while intentionally denying the same to Trump. The question remains: is this illegal or immoral and unethical? Republicans like Lindsey Graham, Cruz, etc, need to get on TV 24/7 and explain to Americans that this is at the very least immoral and unethical behavior on the part of Democrats, they aren't going to going along with it, and the Senate will...
