Morning "The myrtle trees that were in the bottom." Zechariah 1:8 The vision in this chapter describes the condition of Israel in Zechariah's day; but being interpreted in its aspect towards us, it describes the Church of God as we find it now in the world. The Church is compared to a myrtle grove flourishing in a valley. It is hidden, unobserved, secreted; courting no honour and attracting no observation from the careless gazer. The Church, like her head, has a glory, but it is concealed from carnal eyes, for the time of her breaking forth in all her splendour...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) The Biden lead is crashing like the 1929 stock market. – Today’s Campaign Update has been predicting since April – when he formally entered the race – that Joe Biden’s polling lead would be gone by October and that he would leave the race for the presidency shortly after March 4, 2020, which is Super Tuesday. As things turn out, the nation’s Unfrozen Caveman Senator is right on pace to achieve the first piece of that two-pronged prediction. The three most current new polls out this week all now show him in...

Hope you have an extra $12,000 in your checking account. That’s how much the Green New Deal could increase the average Texas households’ annual electricity bills, according to new research unveiled by the Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF). An in-depth analysis of Texas electric utility data shows that transitioning Texas to 100% wind and solar electricity generation by 2030 would cause yearly costs to increase nearly tenfold. For a resolution that claims to fight economic injustice as well as climate change, the Green New Deal isn’t much of a deal after all. TPPF researchers found that if the Green New...

“‘As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life’” (John 3:14–15). To emphasize for Nicodemus that there was no excuse for him to be ignorant of the way of salvation, Jesus appealed to a familiar incident in the Old Testament (Num. 21:5–9). The event took place during Israel’s forty years of wilderness wandering after leaving Egypt and before entering the Promised Land. As a judgment on the people’s incessant complaining, the Lord sent venomous snakes to infest their camp. In...

Release of the transcript of President Trump’s call with Ukraine’s new president makes one thing clear — the Democrats are focusing on the wrong guy. They’re trying to use this episode to impeach Mr. Trump. What the conversation shows, though, is that Mr. Trump was enlisting help to do exactly what he had promised to do, drain the swamp. The culprit on whom to focus is Vice President Biden. The transcript certainly confirms that Mr. Biden was mentioned by Mr. Trump in his call with Ukraine’s new president, Volodymyr Zelensky. And that Mr. Biden’s son, Hunter, was also mentioned. This...

They think anytime a Republican is elected president, there must have been something 'illegitimate' going on. But: He was elected. And, contrary to the endless litany of Democratic complaints, he was legitimately elected. You may not like the way we elect presidents through the Electoral College — I do; if anything, I think the Founders erred on the side of making the presidency excessively democratic in character, with the disastrous results we see before us today — but the Electoral College was not invented in 2016, and it was not created to frustrate the ambitions of Hillary Rodham Clinton. Some...

(snips) -- The Russian collusion story was originally hatched by Hillary Clinton in the summer of 2016 to cover up the utter corruption revealed by the dump of Democratic National Committee emails on Wikileaks. Monica Lewinsky scandal .... No, this time, it was a vast Russian conspiracy! At the time, the entire media laughed at Hillary’s Russian conspiracy nonsense. But then Trump won the election, and suddenly the Russia conspiracy seemed totally believable. What else could explain how Americans could put this boob in the White House? The subsequent three years of breathless Russia coverage was based entirely on the...

Recent criticism of President Trump and the Electoral College by the Democratic chairwoman of the Federal Election Commission has come under fire from a key oversight Republican and a long-serving FEC member. What’s more, Ellen Weintraub's bid to expand the authority of the FEC is being hit as a partisan campaign to attack Trump and Republican donors. The criticism is to take center stage at an upcoming a House Administration Committee hearing where the bitter division on the FEC is to be probed by Rep. Rodney Davis, the top Republican on the committee. The hearing was scheduled for Wednesday but...

A San Francisco-area police department says it still has full faith in a pilot program to use a Tesla electric patrol car, even though the vehicle reportedly ran low on power last week during a pursuit. The East Bay Times newspaper reported that a Fremont police officer in the Tesla Model S, which the department bought in March, became involved in a police pursuit Friday but radioed dispatch to say that the electric vehicle warned that it had only 6 miles of battery life left and that he may not be able to continue in the chase.

Elizabeth Warren clenched an endorsement from the Working Families Party last week, but new revelations emerged Monday that show the think tank her daughter heads donated $45,000 to the progressive political party ahead of the endorsement. Amelia Warren Tyagi is the chairwomen of Demos, and the donation to the Working Families Party in 2018 coincided with her mother's then-impending decision to run for president. Even though the two progressive groups were founded just two years apart, in 2000 and 1998, last year marked the first time Demos donated to the minor political party. According to a 2018 tax filing from...

Dear Children, I’m sorry adults have frightened you about climate change and how it might affect your future. You might be less afraid if you knew some facts that adults intentionally do not explain to you. I’ll tell you here. The news was once a source of real information, or so we thought. But in the modern world, the news people discovered they can make more money by presenting scary news regardless of whether it is true or not. Today, much of the news on the right and the left is opinion that is meant to scare you, not inform...

**SNIP** Taking questions from reporters following a town hall event in the first-in-the-nation presidential primary state of New Hampshire, the Massachusetts Democrat was asked if she would allow her vice president’s child to serve on the board of a foreign company if she were president. Warren quickly answered, “no.” When asked why, she said, in a rare moment where she appeared flustered: “I don’t know. I have to go back and look at the details.” The "details" to which Warren was referring are from the two ethics plans she's unveiled to tackle corruption in government. Her campaign later clarified to...
